A Successful Career After Divorce

Holly’s sudden outburst annoyed Amiya.

“Holly, why are you so agitated?”

“Mom! How can I not be excited about such a big thing? Ranita has been divorced from my brother for so long and now she says she’s pregnant. Who knows if it’s really my brother’s child!”

Upon hearing this, Amiya raised an eyebrow at Robert.

Robert immediately understood and stepped back, while Amiya comforted Holly, “Holly, don’t worry. Ranita can’t stir up any trouble and we won’t take in her illegitimate child either.”

“Really? Mom, are you serious?”

“I just received some news… Brendon went to file for divorce with Ranita!” Pausing for a moment, Amiya smiled, “They’re officially divorced.”

Holly was so happy that she almost jumped up, “Why didn’t you tell me earlier? No way, I have to go tell Shannon right away!”

Holly dashed out of the Boulderland Mansion.

Ranita needed an IV drip so Steve arranged a temporary hospital room for her. Dylan went to buy lunch for her while Brendon came in.

“Ranita, let’s talk.”

“As far as we’re concerned, since we’re divorced, there shouldn’t be any more entanglements between us.” Her voice was cold and calm.

Did she not expect much from this child which was why she acted like this? A hint of sarcasm flashed across Brendon’s lips as he looked at her coldly before turning around saying, “Fine! Do what you want but make sure it’s clean.”

His footsteps faded away.

Ranita couldn’t hold back the tears anymore.

In the VIP ward, Shannon was carefully adjusting roses in a vase when Holly burst through the door with excitement on her face.

“Shannon! Let me tell you some good news!”

“What good news?” After pausing briefly, Shannon poured Holly a glass of water gently saying, “Don’t rush yourself; drink some water first.”

Shannon had bright eyes and fair skin; wearing a white dress made her look like fragile porcelain doll causing Holly to feel pity towards Shannon instantly.

“Shannon, thank you very much! You’re too kind!”

“I heard from my mom that Brendon and Ranita got divorced!” Holly excitedly held onto Shannon’s hand, a smile spreading across her face. “Shannon, you can finally relax now! My brother is definitely on your side!”

“Divorced?” Shannon’s heart was racing with excitement, but she kept up a soft and innocent expression on her face. “When did this happen? Why didn’t I know?”

Shannon was not only excited but also a little shocked. After all, Brendon had seemed like he didn’t want to get divorced before. What happened?

“What happened?”

“Who cares what happened, Shannon! My brother and Ranita are officially divorced now. You can finally be together openly! You have the baby now; take care of yourself and then marry my brother!”

Holly’s words made Shannon blush with embarrassment. “What are you talking about? Brendon hasn’t told me anything yet… I’ll ask him when he comes later.”

Shannon’s emotions were in turmoil. She had waited so long for this moment to come true; it felt like even God was helping her!

“Oh yeah… Shannon… there’s some bad news too if you want to hear it.”
