Chapter 343
Chapter 343
"You said you wanted to visit him with me, but it was not at your convenience. Now he's here to see
you." Xavier rubbed her cheek gently with his thumb. "Isn't that great?"
Arya moved her teary eyes. She choked up and somehow wanted to cry, replying in a hoarse voice,
"Okay."
He wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes. "All right, don't cry."
Having mixed feelings, Arya was not in the mood to flirt with Xavier. She pushed his hand away and
said, "Go out first."
"OK."
Cullen was still outside. It was inappropriate for him to stay there for too long.
After Xavier left the room, Arya did not sit up immediately. Instead, she lied still, slowly calming herself
down.
She could not tell whether she was excited or glad, but it was a strange and wonderful feeling.
The inexplicability excited and confused her. She felt at a loss.
Then, she threw back the covers and propped herself up from the bed. Nanny Joy came in and helped
her. "Mr. Jones is talking outside. Let me help you wash your face."
Arya nodded.
In the bathroom, Arya washed her face with cold water, which refreshed her and got sleepiness out of
her mind.
Next, she dried her face, tied her long hair behind her head, and checked how she looked in the mirror.
She wanted to show her good condition in front of Cullen. Without any words, he could know that she
was going well.
"Haven't you finished?" Nanny Joy asked.
She had turned off the tap for a long time but still came out, which made Nanny Joy concerned.
Arya calmed down and opened the bathroom door. Nanny Joy held her and asked, "Are you going out?
He has been waiting outside for a long time."
"A long time?"
"Yeah, up to two hours." Nanny Joy replied.
Looking at Nanny Joy, Arya asked. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
"Xavier let me not do so, saying that you need a good rest." Nanny Joy had no idea as well.
Arya held Nanny Joy's hand tightly. "Do I look well?"
"Yes, I've never seen anyone prettier than you." Nanny Joy replied without hesitation.
Arya's face was delicate and flawless even without any makeup. She was bright-eyed with good
features. Her lips were light pink, with her long black hair tied behind her head. Without excessive
makeup and dress, she was still a beauty, even prettier than those women with makeup.
Yesterday, Nanny Joy saw a woman with a big belly wearing bright red lipstick, which made her
uncomfortable.
How could others be as beautiful as Arya?
Without makeup, she was still the most beautiful and outstanding.
Arya laughed out. In fact, she asked Nanny Joy if she looked well now.
But Nanny Joy seemed to have misunderstood.
But Arya didn't correct it. After this joke, she was a lot more relaxed.
They walked to the door and Nanny Joy pulled it...
Xavier was talking to Cullen in the living room.
Cullen looked paler than before. "There's never been any evidence. He did it in a secretive way..."
Seeing Arya coming out, Xavier called her to interrupt Cullen.
Cullen turned around and his expression changed the moment he caught sight of Arya. In the end, he
looked calm, with his muddy eyes sparkled. "I'm here to see you..."
Xavier had already told him that Arya had already accepted what had happened,
which relieved him a lot.
Xavier wanted him to live without regrets. After all, his illness...
So when Arya showed her willingness to see Cullen, she had let it go.
"I know." Arya walked towards him slowly. Xavier came over to take her hand and helped her sit on the
sofa.
Cullen looked carefully at her eyes which sparkled.
Even though she had a lot to say, she couldn't speak it out now.
No one knew how to break the silence.
"Let's go out for dinner today." Xavier opened his mouth to be the first one.
Arya hesitated for a moment. The doctor advised her not to walk around. She needed others' help to
walk into the room.
The man knew what she was worried about and held her hand tightly. "It's boring to stay in the room all
the time. Today, let me take you out to have a look."
Arya nodded and agreed, "Okay."
Although Cullen was worried about Arya, he was reluctant to miss the chance to have dinner with Arya. Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
How many times could he have a meal with her? It could be counted easily.
Xavier made a phone call to get the car ready.
The Deputy helped Cullen down first. Arya asked Nanny Joy to go with them. "Let's go together."
But she waved and rejected. "Thanks, but I'm afraid I can't go at this time."
She knew what was going on. It was not appropriate for her to go to such an occasion alone.
"Go with us," Xavier advised Nanny Joy as well.
If Arya needed to go to the bathroom or somewhere else, Nanny Joy's company would help.
"Okay." Nanny Joy could only agree with the man's proposal.
Arya held the man's arm. "Slow down."
The man turned to her and later her stomach. "Can you walk?"
She actually couldn't walk, but what was she going to do?
She instantly came up with an idea. "Why not get me a wheelchair..."
The man rolled his eyebrow, speechless at Arya's suggestion which she thought was a good idea.
He leaned over slightly. "Hold me."
Arya didn't understand what he meant. She just obediently wrapped her arms around his neck so that
she could feel his breath clearly. Xavier patted her on the back. "Hold it tightly."
The woman tightened her arms as she was suggested. Then, the man carried her. "I'll be your leg."
Arya felt a little uneasy about being carried in and out so ostentatiously, so she buried her face in his
neck.
Naturally, it was not embarrassing if she couldn't see the scene.
The man looked down at her and his lips curved slightly...
He liked what Arya was doing now.
At the entrance of the hospital, Cullen was waiting for them in the car.
Seeing Xavier carrying Arya, the waiting driver hurriedly opened the door. The man bent over and put
his lady in the car. Afraid that she would be uncomfortable, he asked, "Is that okay?"
Arya grunted and moved in to make way for the man to get on.
The driver started the engine, and Cullen's car followed.
After about 15 minutes, the car stopped in front of an ancient building…
