Chapter 1114 Nice Moves, Doomed Failure

Cassius's casual ridicule made everyone laugh.

Despising the poor and flattering the rich was deeply rooted in everyone's mind. When people saw

Maximilian's wearings, they thought that he and Liliana were from two different social classes. They

were from two different worlds.

Some of them envied Maximilian so much because he was so poor and yet had such a well connected

with Liliana.

"Cassius, you've gone way too far." Even Liliana found this too hard to watch. She pounded the desk

and looked at Cassius angrily.

She thought he would at least be polite, but he turned out to be so rude to Maximilian.

Cassius stopped provoking Maximilian. He gave a hollow laugh and said, "I was joking! It's no big

deal."

Liliana glared at Cassius. The guy always took advantage of other people's disadvantages. She had

seen him do it many times, and that was what she hated most about him.

Cassius looked at Maximilian and said, "Is that right? Will you be mad at me?"

Maximilian answered calmly, "No, I won't. When a man is bitten by a dog, he would never bite back."

Liliana gave Maximilian a thumbs-up when she heard that.

Cassius thought it was just a joke in the first place; however, as soon as he calmed down and thought

about it, he became grim. He realized that Maximilian was being sarcastic.

"I dare you to say that one more time." Cassius immediately couldn't hold his anger anymore. He never

allowed ordinary people to talk to him like that. He rushed to Maximilian and grabbed his collar.

Suddenly Cassius felt chilly on his back. He turned back and saw Liliana with cold eyes. He could take

the pressure and could only let go of Maximilian.

His facial expression changed very quickly. The next moment, he wore a smiling face and said to

Maximilian, "Nice to meet you. I'm Cassius, the chairman of the Jordan Co. Ltd. , my father is Jonas."

father's name in his self-introduction, worrying that nobody would know who he was.

Those who laughed at Cassius were all stunned. They knew the status of his family in this city. It was a

Cassius grinned a proud smile and looked at Maximilian with a confident look. He was sure Maximilian

was no match for him. He had already beaten him just in terms of his family background.

Maximilian replied with a smile, "My name's Maximilian."

The on-lookers curled their lips when they heard it. The name was simple, and he didn't seem to have

a powerful family background. They had never heard of this name.

Only Liliana knew the story and power behind that name. Maximilian knew Connor Davies, Rowen, the

Berry Family in the W City, and even Chief Carr.

Those who didn't know Maximilian would find this name so hard to believe.

But as soon as they knew him, they would be impressed at how influential that name was.

Cassius sneered, "What's that? I've never heard of it before. When did you come here?"

At the same time, Vinnie was eating something. He looked at Cassius, eyes narrowed. He was already

thinking about how to teach Cassius later.

Just by them, Cassius suddenly squeezed Maximilian's hands firmer. He wanted Maximilian to be

embarrassed, and that way he would be the only one in Lilian's eyes tonight.

Maximilian knew what Cassius was thining because he had seen this many times. Cassius was too

stupid to play this trick before him.

Maximilian didn't even pay any attention to his hand. He had no expression on his face and no mood

change. The firmer Cassius squeezed, the more confused he was. Maximilian's face remained

unchanged even though the veins on his forehead had popped out.

He panted and felt exhausted. He was once invincible in hand squeezing. Nobody had defeated him in

that.

He wondered if Maximilian was faking, or if he had no pain nerves.

Maximilian gave a mysterious smile, which gave Cassius a bad feeling. Before he could say anything,

Maxmilian suddenly add some strength. Cassius nearly scolded because of the sharp pain.

Maximilian's strength was exceptional.

This was the first time he had lost to someone. Maximilian was making his hand and head hurt at the

same time, he wondered why the man was so strong.

"Let go of me, Now!" Cassius growled.

He flushed because of the pain, his voice turning sharper.

The passers-by laughed and looked down upon Cassius when they saw how embarrassed he was.

The guy's vicious intention backfired and put him in pain.

Liliana felt such relief when she saw Maximilian was OK. She had no sympathy for Cassius, no matter

how much pain he was in. She knew he deserved it.

Cassius looked at Maximilian as if he were a devil. His hand was swollen like a pig's hoof. He became

gloomy and angry, because he was just humiliated before the woman he loved most, which bothered

him.

Maximilian ignored that. He didn't have the time to know Cassius's inner feelings.

Maximilian said indifferently, "Do you need to get a new hand?"

Cassius turned sullen. He knew Maximilian did this on purpose. He would never be able to win, no

matter how many new hands he changed.

"You have strong hands. You must be a peasant from the countryside. Strength couldn't weigh less

now because society runs on money. Do you understand? You should get a job at a construction site.

I'm sure you'll do a good job there, with that power of yours." Cassius sneered.

Maximilian didn't expect the guy to be so talkative. He smiled and remained speechless as if he was

looking at a clown.

Cassius ignored Maximilian. He looked at Liliana and smiled. Then he asked, "I purchased it in the

shop just for you. Do you like it?"

This might work on other women, but Cassius found it useless to Liliana.

Liliana was not mammonish. What Cassius was doing now would only make her hated him more.

"I'm sorry, I don't like it, you should take it back." Liliana shook her head and handed it over to Cassius

without looking at it.

Cassius looked so embarassed. Liliana had turned him down. He was very upset about that, but he

dare not to take it out.
