You, Me and Our Genius Twins

Chapter 566 Retribution

Chapter 566 Retribution

Regina trembled all over. "Dylan, how could you be so cruel? No matter what, we've been husband and wife for over twenty years. Jane is your daughter. We—"

"Stop talking!" Dylan impatiently interrupted her. "I'll count to three. If you don't sign, the three of you will get nothing from me!"

Jane rushed over and grabbed Regina's arm anxiously. "Mom, please sign. If you don't, we'll have nothing!"

She didn't want to become a penniless beggar. They could deal with future planning later, but for now, she needed to get 300 thousand. At least then, she would be left with something.

Regina was unwilling, but she had no choice. The situation in front of her left her with no other options.

Dylan had gone mad when he found out that Jean wasn't his biological daughter. There was no reasoning with a madman.

If the three of them were kicked out with nothing, they wouldn't even have a place to live.

However, if Jane could get 300 thousand, at least they could buy a small house and have a place to stay.

Although she was filled with resentment, signing the divorce agreement was the only way for her.

Helpless, she signed the divorce agreement.

After that, Dylan took her to the Civil Affairs Bureau and quickly obtained the divorce certificate.

"Dad..." Jane looked at him with pleading eyes.

Dylan turned around and glanced at her.

His bodyguard walked over and handed Jane a bank card and two large suitcases.

Dylan announced expressionlessly, "The 300 thousand, your clothes, and your jewelry are all here. From now on, you will be called Jane Daniels. You have nothing to do with me anymore."

"I don't want it, Dad!" Jane cried. "I'm your daughter..."

"Even if we are father and daughter, I only have the obligation to support you for eighteen years," Dylan said coldly. "I fulfilled my duty long ago. From now on, I don't want to see you again. If you want someone to blame, then blame your mother for having an affair and betraying me. She schemed against me and cheated on me. I don't want to see anyone related to her, especially you, who has her blood running through your veins!"

"But I'm innocent..." Jane sobbed uncontrollably.

She couldn't accept this reality.

She was supposed to be the second young mistress of the family, entitled to inherit half of the family's wealth. But suddenly, she was nothing.

Her father wanted to cut ties with her. Besides the 300 thousand, he wouldn't give her anything in the future.

The disparity was too great, and she couldn't accept it.

Dylan said coldly, "Just because Regina's blood runs through your veins, you are not innocent."

He didn't want to say anything more and turned to leave.

Jane cried and chased after him, but she was stopped by the bodyguard.

All she could do was helplessly watch as Dylan disappeared into the distance, gasping for breath from crying.

Regina gritted her teeth in hatred and walked up to Jane. "Stop crying. Let's find a place to stay first."

"Get away from me!" Jane pushed her forcefully. "Why did you betray Dad? You were a part of the Hahn Family, living a comfortable life with money and power. What else do you want? You were Mrs. Hahn, but you willingly degraded yourself and conspired with a servant. Now that everything is exposed, everyone knows that my mom cheated on my dad. How can I face others? How can I get married?"

Jane was going crazy.

Her biological mother had an affair, which meant her reputation was ruined. Those who used to look down on her would now mock her. The rich lads from good families would no longer consider her as a potential wife.

Her life was ruined.

Caught off guard, Regina stumbled and almost fell when Jane pushed her.

She steadied herself and looked at Jane in disbelief. "Jane, how could you lay hands on me? I'm your mother!"

"You are not my mother!" Jane shouted through tears. "I don't have a shameless mother like you!"

Regina was stunned.

Jane actually cursed at me!

My own daughter cursed at me!

"Jane, how could you treat me like this?" Regina said in disbelief. "I'm your mother!"

"I don't have a shameless mother like you!" Jane grabbed her suitcases, crying, and ran away.

"Jane!" Regina wanted to chase after her, but her high heels almost tripped her. She had to stop.

"Jane, come back!" she shouted anxiously.

She was dragged out of the villa by Dylan's bodyguards. Besides the jewelry on her, she had nothing, not even her phone.

Among the three of them, Jane was the wealthiest. How could she leave?

Jane didn't seem to hear her mother's cries. She hailed a cab and left without looking back.

Regina trembled with anger, continuously calling out, "Jane! Jane!"

The cab disappeared into the distance.

She trembled all over and turned in search of Jean, but there was no sign of her.

She was at a loss.

After a while, she regained her senses and stopped a passerby, borrowing their phone.

The passerby, seeing that she was slightly disheveled but beautiful and well-dressed, like a privileged lady, didn't suspect her and kindly lent her the phone.

Regina dialed Jean's number with trembling fingers.

Fortunately, the call went through.

She immediately asked, "Jean, where are you?"

Jean remained silent for a moment before saying, "Mom, Dad said he's taking me abroad."

"Your dad? Abroad?" Regina was momentarily confused before realizing who she meant by "Dad." Gary?

Jean whispered, "Yes."

"Y-You..." Regina was on the verge of fainting. "If you leave, what will I do?"

"If I don't leave, what will I do?" Jean retorted. "I'm an illegitimate child. Dylan doesn't acknowledge me. Once my identity is exposed, I'll be a despised rat in the eyes of everyone. How can I face people?"

After a pause, she said, "I'm sorry, Mom. I have to leave to have a better shot at life. But you still have Jane. She is Dylan's daughter, and no matter what, she is your daughter too. Dylan won't abandon her, so she will have a better life than me. Jane should be a better person to look after you." Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

"She fled!" Regina screamed. "W-Why are you two like this?"

To whom did she devote herself and put in all her effort?

Now that there was trouble, both her daughters were running away—one faster than the other.

"That's just a momentary thing." Then, Jean added, "Mom, I'm born out of wedlock. I have to go to a place where no one knows me to live. Jane is different. No matter what, she is still your child with Dylan. She is the legitimate daughter, so once both of them have calmed down, they will take care of you... I'm sorry, but I'm running out of time. I can't talk to you anymore. Take care!"

Before Regina could say anything else, Jean hung up the phone.
