Leonardo was stunned by her question. As if Leo didn’t expect Rhianna to ask him. She sighed softly.

“What if I say yes? Are you going to avoid me? Rhianna, I know you don’t feel anything for me so I hid it from you because I don’t want to hurt you. I’ve wanted you, Rhianna, ever since I saw you. You’ve always been in my mind. “I’ll be the one to ask now. Do you like me?” he asked.

Rhianna saw in Leo’s eyes the sincerity of what he said. She couldn’t help but shudder at what he told her. Suddenly, her heartbeat beat fast. She didn’t know what to say with what she found out. Her brain could not absorb what he said. Leo likes Rhianna, but he doesn’t love her. That’s different.

“Rhianna. I’m asking you. Do you like me or not?” he asked her again. At least, Leo was honest with her so there was no reason for Rhianna to lie to him.

“Yes Leo, I like you. I just suddenly felt happy when I’m with you. I’m happy when you defend me. I’m happy because then–” She stopped what she was going to say when Leo suddenly hugged her.

“I thought it was just me. Thank you because we feel the same way.” he said and hug her tightly.

She pulled away from his embrace. He touched my face and kissed me on the lips and hugged me again. Rhianna hugged Leo back. It seems to be the happiest feeling of all. But, her fear was still there because Leo hadn’t told her the words she was waiting for to come out of his mouth.

After Rhianna treated the wound on Leo’s lip, they decided to go home because it was already afternoon. When they arrived at the apartment, Rhianna immediately went to the kitchen to cook their dinner. When she was done, she went out of the kitchen. But she was shocked to see Leo and Carmela talking in the living room. Rhianna hid in the corner to hear what they were talking about.

“Leo, don’t do this to me. Don’t remove me from the group.” Carmela begs. Rhianna’s eyes widened at what she heard. Why? Why would Leo remove Carmela from the group?

“You’re gone, Carmela. I’ll tell Agent Jerald that you don’t belong in the group.” Leo said in a serious tone.

“I understand. All right, I’ll just go back to the office. Be careful. I’m sorry for what I did to you. I hope if I didn’t do that, I would still own you until now. But not anymore, no matter what I do, I won’t get back your heart. ” Carmela said while sobbing. Rhianna can’t help but feel pity for Carmela. Just like her, there is no certainty if they feel the same way with Leo.

“Move on Carmela. That’s the only way to get rid of that pain. Because no matter what you do, we can’t get everything back to normal. The time will also come when you find a man who will truly love you.” he said. She heard Carmela get up from her seat.

“I’m going. Thank you for everything.” Carmela said while sniffing and she marched out of the house. Rhianna immediately went to the kitchen to take care of what she had cooked. She heard footsteps towards the kitchen. Maybe it was Leo, she looked up at Leo and smiled as he entered the kitchen.

“Carmela and I have already talked. She’s leaving the group,” he said.

Leaving or oust? Why does Leo have to lie to her? It is inevitable to get hurt. What is the reason he is keeping a secret from her? Because she can’t be trusted? Was Leo’s decision right to keep secret the real reason why he fired Carmela to Rhianna? He doesn’t know. That was the only way he could think of for Rhianna not to know the real reason. As long as their mission is not over. And one more, It was better when all Rhianna knew was that he liked her. I’ll just tell her that he loves her when he’s ready. Maybe, when he says that he loves Rhianna, she stays away from him because they don’t feel the same way. Leo doesn’t want that to happen.

“Let’s eat. So we can rest early. Tomorrow I’ll go to Head Quarters again to practice. I’ll inform Brandon.” she said and turned around to get a plate. Leo’s ears tingled at what he heard.

“Why are you going to inform, Brandon? I can take you,” he said. He can’t help himself to clench his fist. What’s going on? Earlier they were fine and now they’re arguing. Leo confused.

“Because I want to. Why don’t I give Brandon a chance? Right?” she asked him. Leo couldn’t help but be annoyed by what Rhianna said. Didn’t she confess to him that Rhianna likes him and now he’s going to give chance for Brandon?

“You just told me a while ago that you like me and now all of a sudden you’re telling me you’re going to give chance for Brandon? Are we just fooling around?” Leo asked Rhianna. She lifted from what she was doing and her sharp eyes stared at him. Why is she angry? Did Leo do anything wrong?

“I’m going to ask you, Leonardo Estralta Jr., are we just fooling around?” she asked her. Leo was surprised by what Rhianna said.

“I’m not fooling you, Rhianna. What I told you in HQ is true.” he said in a pleading tone. Leo does not know what to do. Did he do something wrong? He shook his head and sat down at the table.

“Let’s not talk anymore, Leo. Let’s just eat, I don’t want to talk to the person who just lies out of his mouth.” Rhianna said.

Couldn’t she, couldn’t she have heard Carmela and he talking? F*ck! No! He made sure she was still in the kitchen. Leo sighed and sat down in the chair in front of Rhianna.

“Just knock on my door when you’re done. I’ll be in the room.” she said. Rhianna was about to pass Leo but Leo immediately grabbed her hand. She held her hand as if he had a contiguous illness.

“Are you mad at me?” he asked her. Rhianna turned to Leo.

“Who wouldn’t be angry Leo? Why? Why did you lie? Why did you send Carmela out of the group?” she asked him. He slumped in his seat because of what he heard from Rhianna.

“Listen to me first Rhianna. I’ll explain.” he said with a pleading voice. Rhianna shook her head.

“Not need, Leo. It’s lie again.” she said and left in front of him.

Leo washed her hands over her face out of the frustration he was feeling. Leo will do everything so that they’re okay. Leo will not allow Rhianna to be with Brandon. No, because Rhianna is him. Only him.

After Leo ate, he washed the plates. After Leo washed the plate, his cellphone suddenly rang that was placed on the table. Leo took that and see on the screen who’s the caller. Agent Jerald calling. He answered his call.

“Yes, Agent Jerald. Good Evening.” he greeted their leader. When it’s about work, he’s not implemented his feeling because his team will be affected.

“I got lead where Don Ysmael is hiding. So tomorrow you and Rhianna go to Head Quarters. I’m going, so we can talk about how we can catch him.” Agent Jerald commanded.

“Copy Agent Jerald.”

Agent Jerald turned off the call. This is what he’s waiting for to catch Don Ysmael. To pay for what he did to Rhianna and her family. And, so that he can tell Rhianna those three words as well. From standing up. Leo went to his room.
