The silence of the night prevailed. Only the sound of the cutlery can be heard in those moments. No one wants to break the silence. Leo sighed. She looked at him.

Why does it seem so painful to hear those words from him? That he didn’t like the kiss that they shared. It was as if a dagger had pierced her chest. It hurts so much. She swallowed. She should not let him know that she was affected by what he said. She doesn’t want him to think she likes him. Why? Because he doesn’t like her either. She might just be embarrassed.

“That’s okay. I was carried away too,” she said and immediately stood up and go to the sink and put the plates on it. Leo stood up as well.

“I’ll just get our things ready in the car.” he said and left the kitchen.

After he left, she could not hold back her tears. She needs to get rid of her feelings for him because as time goes on she gets more and more hurt by what he shows her.

After Rhianna washed the dishes, she immediately went out of the kitchen. Leo is no longer in the house. She went outside the house and locked the door. She saw Leo putting their belongings in the car.

Rhianna looked again at the house that had briefly been her home. She walked towards Leo. He was looking at her as she walked toward him, she was suddenly conscious of herself and how she look now.

Rhianna didn’t bother to fix herself before going out of the house. Why is that on her mind? She said earlier to herself that she needed to expunge her feelings for him. But here she is and she was affected by his presence. But how? As time went on, she fell in love with him more.

She went to the passenger’s seat and go inside. Leo followed as well. Along the way no one spoke. Only the strong wind coming from the trees she could hear. Even the other vehicles that they pass.

“Where are we going to stay?” she asked. He turned to her and immediately looked back at the road.

“Near Carmela’s house, there’s a house for rent there.” he said.

She’s aware that Carmela likes Leo. She sees that and she notices it because she’s a woman and she knew that Carmela has feelings for Leo. It’s possible because Leo was her ex. They can be in a relationship again. Leo handed me a gun. She was shocked. But she still took that.

“What is it for?” she asked.

“You’re already part of the group, you should have that. After all, you know how to hold a gun a bit, but you still need thorough training. A few more minutes passed when they reached Carmela’s house, on Della Street. Carmela is in front of the house waiting for them. It looks like she was waiting for our arrival. They got out of the car and Carmela immediately hugged Leo. Carmela rubbed Leo’s wound.

“Your wound is fine and well.” she said.

“It was treated by Rhianna.” Leo replied. Carmela’s gaze immediately shifted to her. She saw the envy in her eyes.

“Ah. Thank you Rhianna for taking care of Leo.” she said. Carmela gave her a sweet smile. But she feels like that smile is just a veneer.

“Oh wait. Let’s go! Let’s go to the apartment where you’re staying. It’s just in the second house.” Carmela said gleefully.

“Okay.” Leo replied.

Leo went to the car compartment. He took their stuff inside. When he got that, they immediately walked to the apartment. They’ll pass two houses before they reached the apartment.

The apartment is miniature and simple. They went inside the apartment and Leo put the things in the living room.

“The house is beautiful, Carmela. Thank you.” Leo commented as he looked around.

“You are always welcome Leo. As long as you. Well, I have to go. See you tomorrow.” Carmela said goodbye, but before she finally left she ruck and kissed Leo on the lips. Well, it’s just a peck kiss.

Leo was surprised and looked at her. Rhianna averted her eyes and went to her room on the right side of the house. She felt the pain again. Very painful. A dull knock on the door awakened her spirit.

“Rhianna, I’ll get your stuff in.” Leo said.

She immediately wiped away the tears that streamed down her cheek. She turned to the door and saw Leo putting her stuff in the room. Their eyes met. When he finished putting her stuff on the floor, he immediately turned around and exited. She even heard him curse. Why did he curse? Because she saw what Carmela did that she shouldn’t have seen.

Rhianna picked up her stuff on the floor near the door. And she started taking out her clothes in the big bag. However, she could not concentrate on what she was doing. Her mind was occupied with what happened earlier. Carmela kisses Leo.

She’s jealous. She’s so jealous! She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes. This is not right, they are teammates. It may affect their team. What should Rhianna do?
