You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 913: You Decide

Freya thought of Luna’s current appearance, feeling heavy-hearted.

Even she wouldn’t be able to recognize her.

Although her appearance has changed drastically, how could a person’s character easily change?

If Orion doesn’t notice anything, either he doesn’t love her or he’s foolish.

“Just be careful, Orion isn’t that easy to fool,” Freya reminded her.

Luna lay on the bed, looking up at the ceiling with a sigh.

“I know, I’ll be careful for the sake of Star.”

As long as she can continue to stay at Orion’s house, watching Star grow up slowly.

No matter what price she has to pay, she’s willing.

After their conversation, Luna had another restless sleep.

Since experiencing those things, she would always dream of that life-threatening scene.

She woke up early, packed things she would need during this time.

When Luna arrived at Orion’s house, he had just come out of the nursery.

“You’re here, Star woke up once at night.”

“I changed his diaper, now he’s back asleep.”

Luna hurried to check on Star, only relaxing when she saw him sleeping peacefully.

“Mr. Russo, your clothes.”

Luna pointed at Orion’s shirt with a wry smile.

Perhaps it was because she had woken up early, but Orion had put his shirt on backwards.

Seeing it, Orion awkwardly said, “Didn’t notice.”

Luna replied, “It’s normal.”

Maybe he was tired from taking care of Star, and his work has been busy lately.

Luna bent down to tidy up things beside the crib.

Orion watched her, his thoughts stirred.

“Aren’t you going to change it?” Luna took the laundry to the bathroom.

Orion gave a small cough, “I should change, going to the company like this would be a joke.”

He turned to go to the bedroom but then turned back, “I have to go now, if anything happens to Star, call me immediately.”

Luna handed him his coat from the couch.

When their hands touched for a moment, Orion flinched as if he had been shocked.

He quickly turned and went into the bedroom, finishing dressing and leaving without showing any unusual feelings to Luna.

But by noon, Luna still hadn’t seen Lily Winters arrive.

Thinking of calling her, it was Lily Winters who called first.

“Miss Silverton… Miss Silverton…”

Her voice sounded choked, and Luna had a bad feeling.

“Lily, what’s wrong?”

Lily Winters was still in front of the operating room, her son holding her hand tightly.NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

“I’m afraid I can’t do the job anymore, please apologize to Mr. Russo for me.”

Luna was surprised, what had happened to Lily Winters.

“Lily, if you trust me, tell me what happened.”

Lily Winters was honest, and Luna felt comfortable working with her.

Without much scheming, communication was easier.

“My husband got seriously ill yesterday, and he’s still in the operating room.”

Luna furrowed her brows, realizing he hadn’t recovered after a whole night.

“How much does the surgery cost?”

“Two… hundred thousand…”

Considering Lily Winters’s family, they couldn’t come up with that much money.

Their already struggling family had hit rock bottom.

“Lily, let your son wait here, you go back.”

Luna said calmly, not showing her real age.

“This…”

Lily Winters hesitated, not sure what Luna was planning to do.

“I’ll lend you the money.”

Lily Winters wiped away her tears, telling her son to wait here and call her if anything happened.

Luna handed her a black bag when Lily Winters arrived.

“There’s four hundred thousand inside, for emergencies.”

Then Luna took out pen and paper, pushing them towards Lily Winters.

Lily Winters didn’t hesitate and started signing.

She couldn’t bear to watch her husband die in front of her.

“Don’t worry, I will find a way to repay you.”

Luna patted Lily Winters on the shoulder, everyone faces difficulties at some point.

She had already prepared an IOU, anticipating Lily Winters’s acceptance of the money.

She could see that Lily Winters had her own integrity.

“Go quickly, I will talk to Mr. Russo for you.”

Gratefully, Lily Winters hugged Luna and hurriedly left.

After Lily Winters left, Luna withdrew forty thousand from Orion’s card.

Orion, who was pretending to sleep, suddenly received a text message, his brows furrowing.

Could something have happened to Luna or the baby?

With that thought, Orion left the company.

After the morning board meeting, his uncles had given him an almost impossible task.

Perhaps, a month wasn’t nearly enough time.

So, before that, he needed to settle things at home.

“Mr. Russo, why are you back?”

Luna’s eyes avoided his gaze, not expecting him to return so soon after she had withdrawn the money. Was it that he didn’t trust her?

“Kelsey Silverton, why did you withdraw money?”

Orion seemed urgent, his eyes almost bloodshot.

Luna took two steps back, picking up the IOU from the table.

“There was an emergency in Lily’s family, so I took the money without informing you. Consider it a debt owed to you.”

Seeing the IOU in Luna’s hand, Orion’s worry faded away.

He thought… he thought something had happened to her.

“Mr. Russo, if you’re still worried, you can deduct it from my monthly salary.”

If Luna didn’t use the money, surely Orion would find out about Lily Winters’s situation.

And if Orion knew, borrowing forty thousand from her would likely lead to more questions, such sum wasn’t insignificant.

Luna had no choice but to do this to dispel Orion’s suspicion.

“It’s okay, no need to deduct.”

Realizing that he had overreacted and possibly frightened her, Orion apologized, “I’m sorry, I was in a hurry.”

Luna waved her hand, there was no reason for an employer to apologize to her.

“No, I should have asked for your approval beforehand.”

Orion shook his head.

“In the future, you don’t need my approval for such matters. Since I gave you the card, you decide.”

Luna’s eyes widened slightly. Was he being so accommodating?

Then why did he seem so anxious earlier?

“So, what kind of matters require…?”

Before Luna could finish her sentence about matters that require his approval, Star’s cries echoed through the house.

Luna immediately ran to him.

“Aunty’s here, Aunty is always here.”

“Star woke up, did you sleep well?”

She skillfully picked up Star, soothing him patiently until he stopped crying.

“When it involves you, I need to know.”

This was what Orion said after Luna went in, whether he meant to say it to her or just to the air, she wasn’t sure.

But when Luna came out, Orion was nowhere to be seen.

“That’s odd…”
