“Should I call and inquire for you, or should I give you a number so you can contact them yourself?” Xander hesitated.

Orion said, “Give me a contact, I’ll reach out and see if it’s suitable.”

“Alright.” Xander picked up his phone and sent a number to Orion.

Orion’s phone, which he had tossed on the central console, vibrated.

That evening, Orion welcomed Xander back with a meal, just the two of them.

Between men, there is inevitably alcohol.

“Since coming back this time, I’ve sensed something off about you!” Xander mentioned casually, lifting his glass.

“Is it so strange?” Orion coldly chuckled.

“Perhaps!” Xander raised his glass in a toast without further elaboration.

As they clinked glasses, Orion suddenly brought up Luna.

“What kind of relative is that person you were with at the airport today?”

Xander was momentarily caught off guard by the question.

“What relative?”

Before Orion could respond, realization dawned on him.

“Do you mean the relative I was with at the airport today? It’s a distant relative of mine who has been abroad all this time. Due to the unfavorable situation overseas in recent years, they decided to return home.”

He added, “I already gave you their phone number, it’s best if you ask them yourself!”

Orion remained silent.

Perhaps he was wary of being misunderstood, Xander coughed lightly.

“Well… that girl and I are just distant relatives. We don’t have much interaction usually. She only contacted me this time because she wanted me to take her back home.”

“Besides, I don’t know her thoughts or the kind of job she’s looking for. It wouldn’t look good if I promised on her behalf without knowing her intentions…”

Watching Xander, Orion rubbed his temples.

“Sometimes, I envy you!”

“Envy me?” Xander raised an eyebrow.

“What do I have to be envious of? Just a bit more freedom on my own!”

Freedom! What a desirable word.

They clinked glasses once more.

By the time they left, Orion was already slightly intoxicated.

“I’ll call you a cab!”

Seeing Orion struggle to stand steady, Xander was concerned.

“I heard they’ve been cracking down recently, you can’t drink and drive!”

“No need!”

Xander chuckled, then took out his phone.

But when he saw the blank message box, he froze in place…

After a while, he casually slipped his phone into his pocket.

“I’ll call a designated driver later, can you make it back on your own?”

They were brothers, everything understood without words.

Without further questioning, Xander simply nodded.

Also calling a designated driver, he left first.

Before leaving, Xander glanced back at the figure in the rearview mirror.

In the dark night, Orion stood alone, expressionless, shrouded in loneliness.

Thinking of Luna, Xander could only sigh.

On the other side, Orion’s designated driver arrived at the door.

Looking at the number Xander had given him, he didn’t hesitate to add it to his contacts!

At the same time, at Luna’s temporary residence.

Her phone vibrated lightly.

Seeing the familiar number on her phone, she guessed it was probably Orion.

The room was quiet, only her heart continued to beat rapidly.
