The doctor said the patient’s injuries were not light and that surgery was necessary. A thorough examination was needed before devising a surgical plan.

“Be cautious,” Freya said. “I appreciate your help.”

“I will do my best to treat her,” the doctor replied. “I am a perfectionist. I may not be able to make her look exactly as before, but I will ensure she has a beautiful face.”

It didn’t matter if she couldn’t restore her original appearance.

As long as the cosmetic surgery was successful, it would suffice.

Luna stayed at the hospital.

These days were filled with tests and consultations for the surgery plan.

Though not a medical professional, Freya listened attentively and assessed the feasibility of the surgery based on her knowledge.

After days of deliberation, the surgical plan was finalized, requiring a dozen surgeries, large and small, for complete restoration.

There could still be changes during this process.

Freya explained the plan to Luna.

Luna remained silent for a moment.

Not knowing if she agreed or disagreed, Freya persuaded her, “You may not return to your previous appearance, but you will look beautiful. Have you considered starting anew with a new face?”

Luna understood her implication.

“Let’s proceed with this then!” Having made up her mind, she would persist for the sake of her child, gasping for breath and living on.

Freya felt for her. “I won’t let you feel lonely or frightened. I’ll be here with you.”

“I heard that the surgeries would be numerous. It’s going to be a lengthy process. I understand. I’m prepared for it. You shouldn’t have to stay with me the whole time. You have a husband and children. You shouldn’t abandon your family for me.”

“Elijah will understand,” Freya held her hand. “You don’t have to worry about me. My children have my mother. They’ll be taken care of. But for you, I’m the only one here with you. How can I leave you alone?”

“I appreciate your kind intentions, but… Maybe you should go back and check on your family first before coming to me. You don’t have to stay with me all the time.” Luna didn’t want Freya to neglect her own family because of her.

With children and a husband, it was impossible to be carefree. There were always considerations for the husband, the children, and the family.

Once a woman married, she faced a multitude of trivial matters.

“Yes. But not now. You’ve just arrived here. You must not have settled in yet. I’ll return after your first successful surgery,” Freya considered many factors for Luna.

On the sixth day in country M, Luna underwent her first surgery, lasting over four hours. Fortunately, it proceeded smoothly.

Luna lay in the hospital bed, still unconscious.

Freya kept vigil by her side.

“The surgery is over now. Madam, you can relax and rest. I’ll take care of things here,” Eagle said.

Freya hadn’t left since Luna entered the operating room.

Even after the successful surgery, she remained by Luna’s side.
