You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 826: What’s Going On

She was surprised to find out that the receptionist was unable to provide her with Elijah’s room location, so she decided to seek out the doctor instead.

She found the VIP room on the top floor and saw Xander talking to the attending physician.

“Xander,” she called out.

Xander looked over and was astonished to see Freya.

“My dear, why are you here?” He hurried over.

Freya smiled, “Can’t I come?”

Xander quickly shook his head, “Of course, but your visit was quite sudden. Why didn’t you call ahead?”

Raising an eyebrow, Freya asked, “Is my timing inappropriate?”

Xander stammered, “No…”

Freya bypassed him and approached the doctor. Elijah hadn’t informed her of his condition, so she wanted to understand before meeting with him!

“Doctor, when will Mr. Silverton’s eyes recover?”

The doctor looked at her, “Who are you?”

“His wife,” Freya answered.

“Oh,” the doctor clarified, “You’re the one who contacted me.”

Freya nodded.

“It’ll be soon, less than a month. He can be discharged,” the doctor said.

Freya thanked him.

To her, time didn’t matter as long as he could regain his sight.

After giving Freya some instructions, the doctor left.

Freya turned to Xander.

Xander awkwardly approached, smiling, “My dear.”

Elijah didn’t want Freya to see him, fearing for her safety and not wanting her to witness his suffering.

Freya understood that Elijah was probably concerned.

But between husband and wife,

She loved him no matter what.

“Take me to his room,” Xander suggested, “Should I go in and speak with Mr. Silverton first?”

“As long as you tell me where his room is, I’ll go in alone. You don’t need to follow, and he might mistake me for you.”

Is… that a good idea?

But now, he seemed to have no other choice.

“Follow me.”

Elijah’s room was at the end of the hallway.

Though it was called a room, it was more like a home, complete with ample space and luxurious amenities.

Of course, the cost was not cheap.

Upon reaching the door, Xander instinctively lowered his voice, “Here.”

Freya nodded, “Wait outside.”

Xander understood, “No one will disturb you.”

Freya grasped the door handle, pressed down, and pushed it open.

Inside was quiet.

The curtains were drawn halfway, allowing soft, warm light to filter through.

The white-toned space looked pristine and clean.

She opened the inner door.

A spacious room with a bed inside.

Unlike a typical hospital bed, this one was much wider, resembling a regular piece of furniture found in a home.

Yet, it still functioned as a hospital bed.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Elijah was lying on the bed.

His eyes were covered by gauze.

Hearing a noise, he assumed it was Xander and asked, “Pour me a glass of water.”

Freya scanned the room, noticed a glass and a bottle of water on the table. She walked over, poured a glass, approached the bed, and handed it to him.

He raised his hand.

Understanding, she handed him the glass.

He slightly sat up, not affecting his drinking.

He drank half the glass of water.

“Here,” he handed her the glass.

Freya took it and placed it on the small table by the bed.

On the table was a white crystal vase with a few tulips in water.

This was definitely not arranged by Xander.

Men weren’t that attentive.

It must have been the hospital’s doing.

She sat by the bed, her eyes slightly downcast, watching the man lying there.

Elijah sensed someone sitting beside him and frowned, “Xander, what’s going on?”
