You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 734: Irony

Leroy didn’t listen.

He couldn’t understand Luna.

The standoff continued.

The female police officer came up with a plan, pretending to answer a phone call, “Hello.”

“Oh, the surgery is done? That’s great.”

“Everything is fine? That’s wonderful.”

Leroy’s eyes lit up, “Is Tyler’s surgery over?”

The female police officer nodded, “They said the surgery was very successful.”

Luna’s hand dropped.

She smiled with joy.

But her eyes welled up again.

She forced a smile with cracked lips, “As long as everything is fine.”

“Now can we proceed with the C-section?” Leroy asked.

Luna didn’t say anything, indicating her consent.

Luna was wheeled into the operating room for the C-section.

Leroy turned to leave.

The female police officer called out to him, “Leroy, I lied just now.”

Leroy looked at her in surprise.

Then his brows furrowed slowly.

Clearly, he understood what the female police officer meant.

“That phone call just now…”

“No one called me,” the female police officer said.

Leroy still praised her, “Well, that was clever.”

Otherwise, Luna wouldn’t have agreed to go to obstetrics.

He sat on a bench.

Sighing.

Praying in his heart that Tyler and Luna would be fine.

“This couple has had a tough day,” the female police officer said.

Leroy agreed, “Who can dispute that?”

“I never thought Tyler and his sister-in-law were so close.”

When Luna said she wouldn’t live if Tyler died, it had a profound impact on him.

He thought, they really care about each other that much.

He prayed in his heart, hoping that nothing bad would happen to them.

After over an hour, Luna gave birth to a baby girl via C-section.

She had some bruising due to being in the womb for too long.

The baby was taken for further examination in the neonatal unit.

Leroy sighed, “It’s a girl, that’s good.”

At least Tyler had a child now.

But his joy quickly faded.

After all, there was still no news of Tyler.

Luna was wheeled out of the ward.

The female police officer was the only one there, smiling as she said, “It’s a girl.”

Luna nodded, scanning the room and not seeing Leroy, she asked, “Where’s Leroy?”

The female police officer paused, “Leroy went to Tyler’s side.”

Luna closed her eyes.

She was too tired.

The doctor also advised her to rest.

She quickly fell asleep.

And slept deeply.

When she woke up, it was already the next day.

The first person she saw when she opened her eyes was Freya.

Freya held her hand and whispered, “Are you hungry? Do you want some water?”

Luna asked for water.

Her mouth was too dry.

Freya went to get some hot water for her.

Luna took a couple of sips, relieving the dryness in her throat.

“Thank you, you must be tired,” Luna said.

Freya replied, “Not really.”

“Why do I see you looking a bit worn out too?” Luna could tell from Freya’s appearance that she was exhausted.

Freya couldn’t tell her what had happened on her side at this time.

She had just given birth, and her body was weak.

Tyler hadn’t woken up yet.

“Aren’t you scared?” Freya held Luna’s hand, “You were about to give birth, and Tyler was on the verge of life and death. I was so worried about you both, how can I not be exhausted?”

Luna smiled, “You’ve been through a lot.”

Freya answered, “It’s nothing.”

“I want to go see Tyler,” Luna said.

Freya said, “How will you go? You had a C-section, not a natural birth. You have a surgical incision on your stomach, you can’t get out of bed today for sure. I already went to check on him for you, he’s in the ward, still asleep.”

Luna nodded, “As long as I know he’s okay, I’ll be relieved.”

Freya looked at her, “Do you know how much I envy you?”

Luna couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

“What is there to envy about me? Your man is rich and handsome, and you have two sons. You don’t have to worry about your livelihood. When you say you envy me, I feel like you’re mocking me.”
