You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 730: Breaking of the Amniotic Fluid

The suspect hated Zane for his betrayal.

When caught, he desperately fired a shot at Zane.

Tyler, in an attempt to save Zane, got shot in the back.

Being rushed to the hospital, he is currently undergoing surgery.

The bullet is dangerously close to his heart, requiring a skilled cardiac surgeon to retrieve it.

The surgery carries a high risk.

Meanwhile, Luna knew that today’s arrest operation was underway.

Yet, waiting at home, she received no news and hesitated to call, fearing it might disrupt Tyler’s mission.

Unable to wait any longer, she made her way to the precinct.

Interrogations of the criminal suspects were taking place.

Luna’s tense heart slightly eased as it seemed that the operation had concluded.

The most dangerous aspect of this operation must have been Zane acting as the informant.

After all, he was undercover among the criminals, facing certain death if discovered.

Finding Leroy at the station, Luna inquired, “Was the operation successful this time?”

Leroy, aware of Tyler’s precarious situation in the hospital, remained silent.

Avoiding eye contact, he muttered, “It was a success.”

Luna pressed further, “Is the informant safe?”

“He’s safe and has been brought back,” Leroy replied quietly, avoiding her gaze.

With a sigh of relief, Luna thought, “As long as he’s safe.”

She needed to inform Freya of the situation.

Turning around, she instructed Leroy, “Let your captain know to return home early tonight.”

In a hushed voice, Leroy replied, “Okay.”

However, Luna sensed something amiss and turned back to Leroy, “Was the arrest operation successful today? Can he return early?”

Without a word, Leroy lowered his head, unable to speak.

Tyler surely wouldn’t be able to return home tonight.

Yet, Leroy couldn’t bring himself to tell the expecting Luna.

Noticing his hesitation, Luna’s expression darkened.

“Leroy.”

Feigning composure, Leroy raised his head, “I heard you. I will pass on the message. However, there might be… other matters today that may delay his return…”

“Wasn’t the arrest operation a success? What other case is there? Why haven’t I heard about it?” Luna’s gaze was fixed on Leroy, unblinking. “Tell me the truth, what happened to Tyler?”

Leroy hesitated, “Sister-in-law, you’re pregnant. It’s best not to ask. We will do our best…”

One step back in shock, Luna braced herself against the table, holding back the urge to collapse.

Approaching her, Leroy tried to comfort her, “Sister-in-law…”Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Struggling to maintain her strength, Luna demanded, “Tell me.”

In a sudden loss of vigor, she raised her voice but then quickly faltered.

Leroy, with a heavy sigh, revealed, “Tyler got shot while trying to save the informant. The bullet is close to his heart, and doctors are planning surgery. Don’t worry, Tyler has a good fate, he’ll be fine…”

Luna’s abdomen suddenly throbbed with pain.

Clutching her stomach, her breathing quickened.

In haste, Leroy called for an ambulance, “Sister-in-law, are you going into labor?”

Clasping her hands tightly, Luna endured intense waves of pain, retrieved her phone, and dialed Freya.

The call connected swiftly.

“Hello, Luna.”

“Freya, now, come immediately!”

Knowing Freya’s skill in cardiac surgery, Luna was confident she could handle the situation.

As the amniotic fluid flowed down her thighs, Leroy, bewildered, stammered, “Sister-in-law, you…”

Casting him a glance, Luna whispered, “Don’t panic.”

Speaking with clarity to Freya, she instructed, “Taking a car might be slow. Have Elijah drive you; he’ll surely find a way. Come right away, it’s urgent, really urgent.”
