You Are My Mr Right

Xander didn’t show any sign of knowing Freya Stone in front of Liora Valentine, and he relayed the message as it was said. Elijah’s face softened a bit when Liora Valentine took the initiative to plead for Freya Stone. He was somewhat surprised by her actions.

“I’ll do it,” Elijah promised.

He agreed so readily not because of Liora, but because he didn’t want Freya to resort to escorting or exposing herself just to make ends meet. He also didn’t want her chatting with men online about that kind of thing! The thought of her discussing such matters with another man still made him uncomfortable.

Xander said “I got it” before hanging up and relaying the message to Liora. However, she wasn’t entirely pleased at this moment since Elijah hadn’t agreed to see her.

The next day, Freya went to the dance studio where Ms Quinn thanked her repeatedly while holding onto her hand.

“Mr Silverton has agreed to invest! I’m really grateful for what you did for us yesterday. Did he do anything inappropriate?” asked Ms Quinn.

Freya shook her head and replied, “No.”

Just then, she received a call from Liora Valentine on her phone which was in her pocket. She hesitated before answering it.

“Freya, I’m sorry about yesterday, I acted impulsively without thinking things through properly. Please don’t be angry with me, I have pleaded your case with Elijah already. You got a job as an intern at the general hospital now, this is my way of making amends towards you.” Liora continued saying, “You can report here tomorrow morning at nine o’clock.”

Freya furrowed his brows as this wasn’t like Liora’s usual behavior but decided not let go off an opportunity like this.

“I got it, thank you.” She replied.

Freya came out of the dance studio and went straight to the General Hospital, arriving at almost nine o’clock.

Liora Valentine took her to see the director. The director was a male doctor in his fifties. He asked Freya to follow Liora. After all, Liora had been there for a few more days.

Freya agreed.

Of course, Liora Valentine had some manipulation here. She was still an intern herself and was not qualified to lead others, but she took advantage of her relationship with Elijah.

When Liora took Freya to pick up the clothes, she asked in a subtle way, “When did you and Elijah get married?”

Freya knew she wasn’t being genuine. Sure enough, her true intentions were revealed so quickly. She smiled and replied, “That’s not something I can reveal.”

Liora grinned slyly and deliberately said, “It doesn’t matter. Elijah has already explained to me that you two didn’t get together because you liked each other.”

Freya’s face remained calm. But she couldn’t help but think about it more; she believed that Elijah and Liora had a good relationship.

Freya remained silent, and Liora knew that she had guessed correctly. They weren’t a normal couple. If they were, shouldn’t the wife be angry or question her husband if he had another woman outside? But Freya acted like it was no big deal.

After picking up her clothes, Freya felt nauseous.

“I need to go to the bathroom.” Said she.

She pushed aside Liora and felt like something was off inside of her. Her period was already too late. She thought it couldn’t be possible but went to the pharmacy for a pregnancy test anyway.

The result showed two red lines.

Freya was stunned.

She had been taking birth control pills; how could she be pregnant?

Even though when Elijah found the second pill, she put it in her bag and forgot the pill later on, the effectiveness rate of birth control pills was over 80%, plus they only did it once.

Sitting on the toilet seat with mixed emotions running through her head, Freya was thinking what she should do. She still couldn’t believe that she was pregnant. After calming down emotionally, she went for an ultrasound scan just in case there might have been some mistake somewhere along the line.

However, the results showed that she was almost two months pregnant with twins!

“Congratulations! You’re having twins.” Said the doctor.

Freya was completely dumbfounded.

“Are you sure there isn’t any mistake?” Her voice sounded hoarse from shock.

“I’m positive. You’re pregnant with twins. Can’t make mistakes when there are two sacs right here.” The doctor slid his mouse around showing them both sacs on screen as proof of what he just told them.

Freya’s heart raced from all sorts of emotions running through her mind at once, confusion, surprise, and complexity.

“But I can see from your condition that you’re not doing too well right now. You need plenty of rest since you’re carrying these babies.” Advised the doctor.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“I got it.” Replied Freya as he handed over some paperwork before walking out.

As soon as Frey left B-ultrasound room, Liora walked into one instead. She learned from the attending physician who confirmed earlier on, Freya was indeed expecting twin babies.

She was so angry that she gritted her teeth, wishing she could kill Freya Stone!

If Elijah found out that Freya was carrying his child, would there still be a chance for her? Obviously not much of a chance. Liora pretended to casually find Freya and smiled at her, “You just started your internship at the hospital. Today you’ll be on night shift with me.”

Freya nodded.

In the afternoon, they had surgery. The attending physician was responsible for leading the operation while they prepared for preoperative work and learned during the surgical process. No matter where they worked before in other hospitals, this procedure was definitely necessary if they wanted to become an attending physician here.

Freya studied seriously and prepared carefully while Liora couldn’t focus and kept glancing at Freya’s belly from time to time.

With rigorous work, Freya forgot about her pregnancy worries. After half a day of work, Freya became tired but still had to continue working through the night shift. After drinking some water, she began feeling more disoriented until finally losing consciousness.

“Freya, Freya…” In a daze, she heard someone calling her name as she slowly opened her eyes only to find herself in pain all over with furrowed brows.

“Where I am?” muttered she.

Everything seemed strange around her.

“In my car.” Said Orion Russo.

Freya sat up holding onto her stomach as she surveyed around asking, “How did I end up in your car?” She remembered clearly being on duty earlier that day.

“I left something behind at the hospital and came back to get it when I saw you lying there unconscious in the underground parking lot.” Explained Orion Russo who initially thought he must have been mistaken but upon closer inspection realized it really was her lying there motionless.

“I got an opportunity to intern here.”

“Did Elijah forgive you?” asked Orion Russo curiously with surprise written all over his face.

Freyra thought about Liora and quickly realized why exactly she ended up being in the parking lot.

She drank some water given by Liora Valentine earlier without suspecting anything unusual inside since doctors were familiar with medicine.

What did Liora do to her after she knocked her out?

Feeling abdominal pain, Freya hurriedly opened her clothes and checked her body. She found that there was a pinhole in her belly.

She opened her eyes wide in panic.

Did Liora Valentine know she was pregnant? So she stunned her and gave her an amniocentesis?

“Freya Stone, what are you doing?!”

Elijah received a call from Orion Russo and he came over immediately. As a result, he saw this woman lifting her clothes in front of other guy, revealing her slender fair waist.

Did she know she was shameless? !
