CHAPTER 160
Chapter 160 Good Taste
“Who else would it be?” William’s expression turned frosty. “Do you think me sending a message here is getting in your way?”
Emelie Tell silent.
It didn’t make sense. Jayden and Alexis were on the 20th floor. William and Ashton, along with Patricia, were on the 19th floor, and she was with Samuel on the 17th
floor.
Why on earth would he be on the 17th floor? Is he actually here to meet Samuel? He can’t possibly be here for her, could he?
Emelle’s eyes briefly flickered, but those details didn’t matter much at the moment. She realized their current position was improper, and she also noticed a strong smell of alcohol on him,
She couldn’t help but wonder if he went out drinking after returning from the mall.
“Mr. Middleton, please let me go,” Emelie requested.
William’s focus lingered on the scarf adorning her neck. It was the very one Samuel had helped her put on.
As he recalled the various incidents between her and Samuel, his expression grew increasingly frosty. His gaze then shifted downward once again.Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
The bag she’d been carrying a moment ago slipped from her grasp, scattering its contents on the floor. At the top lay a bra. It was pink and adorned with lace.
Seeing his gaze on her clothes, Emelie gritted her teeth and snapped, “Mr. Middleton! Let me go!”
William glanced at her face and remarked, “You’re not getting any younger, yet you still dress like a teenager. But I have to admit, you’ve got good taste.”
Emelie, clearly angry, shot back, “Mr. Middleton, verbal harassment is still harassment. Show some respect!”
“How do you define harassment? I’m just saying you have good taste,” William’s expression remained serious, though his tone held a hint of malice.
He continued, “When others compliment you, it’s praise. But when I do it, suddenly it’s harassment?”
Emelie refused to understand his logic. She tried to free herself from William’s grip, but he held on tight.
“You went shopping with Samuel, got matching outfits, and even bought underwear? Then you two spent three hours alone in the room?”
Emelie pressed her lips together.
She bought the underwear because she knew Wimstour City’s weather could be chilly with little sunlight, making it hard for clothes to dry. She hadn’t packed many changes, so she got them just in case. And when she did, Samuel was busy checking out other stuff.
But she didn’t feel the need to explain all of this to William. Out of the blue, she shouted, “Mr. Swanson,” from behind him.
William’s attention faltered for a moment, allowing Emelie to slip away. Swiftly, she grabbed the clothes from the ground and hurried off.
Her expression was icy cold.
She was already sickened by his relationship with Daphne and Patricia–anyone with a speck of decency would feel the same – and yet, he still went through with it.
It only intensified her disgust.
William’s voice came from behind her, “If my relationship with Patricia bothers you, why not come and ask me about it?”
Emelie found this situation incredibly baffling.
When did she ever indicate that she cared?
She chose to ignore it and took out the room key card to open the door.
A shadow fell over William’s gaze.
Emelie suddenly felt him closing in fast. Just as she turned back warily, William was already behind her.
Before she could react, he pushed her into the room. And then, the door slammed shut.
The room was plunged into darkness, with no lights illuminating the space.
Emelie couldn’t see a thing. She didn’t know where he was, but she could feel him all around her. Suddenly, he had her pinned against the wall.
She felt him yank off her scarf and toss it away, followed by him pulling out the hair tie.
“How messy!” he sneered.
Emelie’s mind instantly flashed back to what Patricia had said on the plane.
To Emelie, how William chose to treat his women was his business. Why should she be dragged into it? Did he really think she had anything to do with him? Emelie clenched her teeth, silently struggling in the darkness.
Her phone suddenly rang. She had left it in her coat pocket. William reached in and pulled it out.
“William!” Emelie exclaimed. She was surprised by his lack of respect.
It was Samuel calling.
“Someone’s calling right after you left his room. Ms. Hoven, you’re quite close with your new boss,” William said.
He clearly implied that when she was his secretary, she was also very “close” to him as her boss.
Emelie was livid. “Mr. Middleton, mind your own business!”
William chuckled, then suddenly let go of her and stepped back with her phone in hand.

Afraid of what William might say if he answered the call, Emelie rushed after him and demanded, “Give that back to me!”
