Chapter 85: Jealous?
Chapter 85: Jealous?
Jasmine's POV
He never stops bothering me every day. I kept on avoiding him.
"Did you message him?" I asked Rhian on the phone while she was checking my schedule. I have a meeting right now, and I've been waiting here in the restaurant for almost ten minutes, yet he's still not around.
I still have a lot to do. He said he was going to buy one of our condo units, and he even scheduled our meeting for today.
"Yes, ma'am. He messaged me that he's coming there now," she said while she was busy on her laptop.
I rolled my eyes, this is the first I've waited for my client so late.
"I don't know why he isn't texting me. I just told him if he didn't arrive right now I'm really sorry but I have to go. I'll cancel the meeting after five more minutes," I said and ended the call.
I kept on looking at my watch. My gaze went to the entrance, and I wasn't expecting him there. What was he doing here? He looked around like he was searching for someone.
Did he have an appointment here, too? I just ignored him and opened my phone.
Seconds later, I felt someone sitting on the opposite chair. I thought it was my client. I was broadly silent, but my silence slowly faded when I saw who it was.
Here he is again.
"If you are here to bother me again, just go. I have an important meeting today with my client, and I don't have any trouble. Just get out of that chair right now, Travis." I pointed to the chair he was sitting on, but he didn't move. He looked at me with a puzzled expression. "What are you still doing?" I irritatedly said, which made her let out a heavy breath.
"I'm your client today," he said, which surprised me. What the heck is happening? Why would he introduce himself as a client?
"Wait a moment "I stood up and grabbed my phone. I was about to call Rhian when she had already called me.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
"You didn't tell me that my client was him?" My voice sounds mad, but I don't care. My day was ruined again when I saw his face.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry. I don't really know that he was the one who made an appointment. He used another name, I just found out right now," she explained. So this is all his plan again.
I looked at him, and he just smiled at me. He's waiting like my real client.
"Next time, I want you to double-check those clients who want to have an appointment with me, okay? I'll end the call now," I said, walking towards the table.
I saw him watching me while walking towards him. I sat on the chair and fixed my hair.
"Is everything alright?" He asked me like everything was normal. We were both sitting here.
I force to smile when she notices that I don't like being with her here.
"So you are Mr. Jack?" I sarcastically asked him. He smiled, proud that we had been fooled. We didn't know that it was him because she used another name and Information. "Just forget about that. Do you want to order something?" He asked me while he was calling the waitress, who immediately went to our table.
Just water," I told him. He looked at me and started ordering too much for one person.
"That would be all," he said before the waitress made his way.
"Look, let's just discuss our agenda. "I told him. A few minutes later, our food arrived.
He started eating, and I couldn't stop but watch him devour the food. Damn him!
"Can you be more kind to me?" He said after she drank his water.
I rolled my eyes. How can I do that? He was the reason why I'm here, right? He likes annoying me.
"You know what? I don't know what came to your mind when you did this." I told him, but he just shrugged his shoulders.
"Are you playing with me?" I placed both my hands on the table. He stopped eating. He looked at me with those pleasing eyes.
"What? No. I just want to buy condo units. I was actually kinda thinking, and I found out that you're selling one of them," he said. Is that really the reason?
"You know what? Why don't you just find another business owner that could offer you the best deal?" I said, trying to reject him.
"Wait, you should be happy you have an additional client." He said. He's just like telling me that I should be thankful.
"Could you stop talking and just talk about the condo unit that you are going to buy?" I lost patience. I gave him the different condo unit images that we had. He started looking at them. ,
"This one, I'll buy this." He said, referring to the highest condo unit that we had. What's his plan? Why did he think of buying a condo?
"Fine. Just sign this deal so I can get over this meeting. I don't know why he didn't just talk about me about this, or maybe he knew that I won't accept him as my client.
"In a hurry? Common, let's just talk
in the meantime." I don't have time
for this Can't he just see that I'm in a hurry and doing a lot of things? And here he is pestering me
"Could you please stop? Travis. If you are not busy, then I don't care. My time is precious. You can ask someone who is willing to listen to you. Just call Stacy. I'm sure she'll
be happy to be with you," I told him. I grabbed the papers after he finished signing them.
"You're always bringing her into our conversation. Are you jealous? Tell me," he suddenly said, which surprised me.
What the heck? Why would I be jealous?! Is he out of his mind?! His audacity to say something like that.
"What?!" I stood up and left him there. He's dreaming in broad light.
