Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 88

Chapter 88 Forgetting Her Was the Worst Cedric looked at her coldly and remarked, “You should’ve thought about that when you caused her miscarriage.

Rita froze as she avoided eye contact with Cedric. Yet, she continued to make up excuses, “W- what are you talking about? It was Maia that didn’t want the child. She fell from the third floor on her own, just to cause a miscarriage.”

“Shut up!” Cedric demanded loudly. Rita was surprised by his tone and turned pale.

She took a few steps back and argued, “Cedric, there’s no proof of your claims. How could you just put the blame on your mother? This isn’t like you! The old you wouldn’t have just trusted her word blindly over your own mother’s!”

Cedric looked at her in pain. His brows furrowed tightly together as he stared at his mother in utter horror.

“| hurt her so much because | trusted you. | promised her this would never happen again!” he said coldly, before turning around and marching towards the elevator.

Baz immediately followed as Rita ran up toward them. Her hair disheveled and she looked delirious, yelling after Cedric, “Are you out of your mind? Are you listening to yourself? Didn’t you hate her when she tried so badly to get married to you? How did you change so much in such a short time? Was this her doing? She’s trying to sabotage our relationship!”

Cedric stopped in his tracks and replied stoically, not even bothering to turn around. “I was the one who promised to marry her.”

Maia used to be the one following him around. No matter how many times he had tried to turn her away, hurt her, she was always determined.

Finally, she managed to get married to him. He sort of kept his promise to her. However, he had failed to take good care of her, causing her to get hurt time and time again. She had also almost died in a fire.

Just recalling these incidents pained Cedric. It was like someone was driving a knife through his heart. The fire from a year ago still struck fear in him.

Cedric balled his fists tightly until he felt his veins popping. She was the reason that he now knew fear.

Rita was still pestering them endlessly. “What promise? She was just manipulating you! This is all because of Maia and her mother. They did something to make your grandfather think it

“When your grandfather suggested this, you and | were both against it! Have you forgotten all of that?”

Cedric just mirked cruelly at her, “Forgetting Maia was the worst thing | ever did.”

“What do you mean? Forgetting her? What did you remember?”

Rita was shocked. She had a hunch, but she refused to believe it.Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

“Exactly what you think | did.” Cedric turned and stepped into the elevator. Rita faltered as she saw the doors closed.

“How could he have remembered? It was so long ago. He was only a high school boy. How could he recall what had happened between them?” Rita was trying hard not to panic as she mumbled to herself.

No one knew exactly what had happened in the few days that they were kidnapped. When they were rescued, she saw a girl trying so hard to go after him, wanting to be married to him.

Even after Cedric had forgotten that part of his life, Maia still tried her best to remind him of her. Although she had failed every single time, she had never given up.

Rita had assumed that Cedric would never be able to recall that part of his life. So, it was a surprise to her when he admitted that he knew everything.

Baz, who was still there, walked towards Rita with a smile and said, “Mrs. Rita, we should go now.”

“When did he start to remember?” Rita turned to Baz and asked.

He just smiled politely and continued, “Mrs. Rita, the elevator’s here. Please get in. “Baz, you're the closest person to Cedric. | know you have all the answers! Tell me!”

Baz knew that if he was not straightforward with her, Rita would not give up.

“Mrs. Rita, Mr. Cedric is my boss and | work for him. | know very well what I’m supposed to say and what I’m supposed to keep secret. Even if you asked me a million times, my answer would still be the same. | don’t know.”

“Insolent jerk! You're all the same!” Rita pointed at Baz and roared unreasonably. “Mrs. Rita, the elevator is here. Please get in.” Baz repeated professionally as he held the door for her.

There was nothing else she could do. With an angry puff, she stepped inside the elevator. Ast she was moving towards the ground floor, her phone rang.

“Mrs. Rita, Ms. Zera is throwing a tantrum. She keeps breaking things around the house!” the +15 BONUS “I'll be back soon. Make sure that she doesn’t hurt herself!” Rita instructed as she left the company quickly.

After the secadal, Zera had stayed home. She spent her days in a haze until today, when she saw the news about Cedric and Maia. She started to lose control and break things around her

TOOM. Cedric’s interview had further agitated her and caused her to act out.

“Maia, you bitch! | should’ve killed you! How could you still be alive? Why didn’t that fire kill you? You've taken everything away from me! It was all because of you!”

Glass was shattered everywhere as the bedroom was in chaos.

Chapter 89 Threatened by Her Daughter

“Ms. Zera, you should be careful.”

“Ms. Zerz, please stop!”

“Is Mrs. Rita back yet?”

Try as they might, the housekeepers could not contain Zera’s madness. They were almost hurt by her as well.

When Rita got home, she was surprised to see the mess that Zera had caused. As she witnessed Zera’s tantrum, Rita could not bring herself to be mad at her.

“Zera, calm down!” Rita entered Zera’s bedroom and hugged her. Zera did not calm down when she saw Rita. Instead, she seemed more agitated and started to laugh and cry at the same time. “I've lost everything! What should | do now? | have nothing left.” Zera could not stop her tears from pouring down her cheeks.

“It was Maia! It was all her fault that | lost my place in the entertainment industry. Why does. Cedric listen to her every word? She is such a vile woman! She must have done something to manipulate Cedric! She’s turning him into her puppet!” Zera yelled hysterically as she grabbed

onto Rita’s arm. She went on. “That has to be it! How else could we explain the change in him?” Rita looked at Zera and tried to comfort her.

“Zera, please come down. Before we talk about Could you tell me about the video that went viral? Was that woman in the video really you?”

Rita had to know.

Zera just smiled and pushed Rita way from her. She then admitted loudly. “It was me! So what if it was? Cedric doesn’t love me, so | can’t be loved by other men?”

Zera began to beat her chest with one of her arms. “I’m not ugly at all! If he doesn’t love me, then I'll look for someone else that does. Look, mother, so many men love me! Ha ha ha!” Rita could feel her blood rushing to her head as she heard Zera’s confession.

At first, she thought that the video was fake, that they had just found someone who looked like Zera. She did not expect Zera to admit it so easily.

Rita was finding it hard to breathe from the shame and embarrassment. +15 BONUS “Zera, do you hear yourself? How could you be so shameless? How did my sweet, obedient. Zera turn out like this?”

Zera continued to laugh hysterically. She pointed at Rita and yelled, “I always listened to you. When you teld me to wait for Cedric to marry me, | did. Yet, he went and got married with Maia!

“Later, you told me to wait until they got divorced, and | did, but he didn’t do as you said! You were the one who told the media that | was his fiancee! | listened to you, every time! Look at where that got me!”

Zera’s words had affected Rita badly, as she could only put her hand on her chest and gasped

for air.

Moments later, Zera glanced at the housekeepers who were still in the room. She picked up a piece of shattered glass and walked toward them.

“Are you enjoying the show? Answer me!” The housekeepers continued to lower their heads and trembled in silence.

Suddenly, Zera lifted her hand and cut one of the housekeeper’s faces with the piece of shattered glass. The housekeeper yelped in fear and immediately placed pressure on her wound. 1

“Please, miss. We didn’t even notice what was happening,” the housekeeper answered with a trembling voice. “All of you, get the fuck out!” Zera shouted as she flung the shattered glass at them. The housekeepers quickly retreated in fear. Zera walked over and shut the door. She then went to sit on her bed, eyeing Rita.

“Mom, please calm down. What would | do if you fell ill from being too emotional?” Zera laughed manically. She was looking more like a mad woman.

All of a sudden, her laughter stopped as she glared at Rita. “Mom, if you don’t help me get rid of Maia, or get Cedric to marry me, I'll expose everything you've done!” Rita went pale as she looked at Zera in disbelief. “Are you out of your mind? How dare you threaten me!”

“Yes, I’m going crazy and threatening you! This was all your fault! All of it! My reputation is ruined, so | have nothing more to lose. | want Cedric Larkin and the whole of HL Corporation! | also heard that he’s planning to expand the company. | want it all!”

Zera dragged her feet and moved slowly toward Rita. She gave a twisted smile and added, “If 212

mother is! Besides, | saw you push Mala off the balcony. | saw it all!”

“How could you? I’m your mother!” Rita managed as she stepped away

in fear.

Zera smiled coldly and said, “You never wanted me. | was just a product from a one-night stand

you had. After giving birth to me, you sent me to a foster home and adopted me using your status as Mrs. Rita Larkin, just to show the public how kind you were!”

She went on. “I knew it was all just a ploy to cover up your mistakes. You wanted to make sure that no one would know about your shameless past, so you decided to place me close to you! You're no different from anyone else! You're just as horrible!”

Rita could no longer tolerate Zera’s outburst as she lifted her hand and slapped her on the face. “I gave you a life, you ungrateful child!”

She would never have thought that her own daughter would threaten her!
