Maia was alarmed to hear Hope’s desperate plea for help. “Where are you?”
She sounded like she was somewhere noisy.

Maia asked, “Hope, where are you? Can you hear me? Hope!”
However, no matter how many times she called her name, Hope didn’t reply. Keeping the call connected, Maia grabbed her keys and dashed out of her office.
“Where are you going, Maia?” Buck asked, as he saw her rushing away and quickly went after her. “Hope is in trouble.”
“What?” Buck was alarmed. “Let me drive you!”
Maia looked at her phone, but there was still no reply from Hope.
She murmured into the phone, “Don’t worry. I’m coming for you now.
At that moment, a strange voice came through.
“Are you Ms. Hope Warren’s sister?”
“Yes, | am!” Maia answered immediately.
“This is the police. Ms. Hope and her mother were involved in a car accident and have been sent to the hospital. That’s where you'll find them.”
“Thanks! I'll head there straight away.” Knowing where Hope was, Maia calmed down alittle. “Let’s go to the hospital.” The car then sped toward Prismara Hospital.
At the hospital, Maia hurried to the operating room on the sixth floor. Hope’s agent, Wesley, was pacing anxiously in the corridor outside.
“How is she?” Maia hurried over.
Wesley was stunned to see Maia.
“Ms. Maia? Well, I’m not sure. | just got here.’ At that moment, the door opened.
“Are you family?” the doctor asked.
Maia quickly said, “I’m her sister.”
Wesley was surprised.
“Ms. Hope’s condition isn’t serious. Other than a mild concussion, her right arm was fractured, and she needed eight stitches in her left arm. She has been transferred to VIP room 808. As for her mother, her condition is slightly more severe than Hope’s, but her life is not in danger.”
Maia thanked the doctor and hurried toward Room 808. Buck was relieved as well. “Il bet Hope will be hungry when she wakes up. I’ll go get some food. for her.”

Maia nodded, and Buck hurried away toward the elevator. Wesley went with Maia.
“Hope never told me that you're her sister. She should have become an artist under Starlight instead of bearing the burden of my company.”
Maia slowed down. “What do you mean?”
“Seems | was right in assuming you didn’t know. Hope never tells anyone about her problems. She even kept them from me.” Wesley sighed.
Maia couldn't help but feel that Hope was very much like her.
Wesley said, “People always thought that the agency had treated her very well, but the truth is that the contract did not favor her at all. She’s been forced to act in lousy productions and promote newcomers to keep the company running.”
Maia had expected as much, as Hope’s small agency would be unheard of if it hadn’t been for her.
“Hope achieved stardom and popularity among major studios and endorsement partners from her own effort. The company didn’t do anything for her. Come to think of it, | guess that makes me a lousy agent, huh?”
“Why are you telling me this?” Maia asked. “Won't you lose your job if Hope joins another company?” “Well, Hope treats me like her own brother. | only wish for the best for her. Anyway, | think it's dumb of her to try to make it on her own when her sister is the CEO of Starlight Entertainment.”
Maia smiled. “Hope is lucky to have you as her agent.”
Wesley shook her head. “No, she’s lucky to have you as her sister. A paramedic who went to
Maia frowned and quickened her pace toward the ward.
When the door opened, Hope saw Mala and immediately called out, “Maia...”
Maia say: her sister look somewhat haggard lying in bed.
Hurrying over, she said, “The doctor said your injuries aren’t too serious.”
“What about Mom? How is she?” Hope was worried about Yvette.
“She’s okay,” Maia said simply.
Hope nodded. “I’m glad to hear it.

Wesley let out a relieved sigh. “Thank God that you’re fine. Everyone’s already talking about the car accident online. You have no idea how angry your fans are at the culprit.”
Wesley pointed toward the window, but it was too dark to see anything. “Many of them are outside now praying for you.”
