Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Alastor thought, “Is Anastasia blaming me for another man?”

“Anastasia, what’s wrong with you? Are you siding with an outsider rather than your husband?” Steven stepped forward angrily but was pushed away by Jason.

Jason frowned and looked at Steven with warning eyes.

“Anastasia, what do you mean by that? How can you help an outsider to blame Alastor? He’s your husband.” Felicia felt a little smug and took the opportunity to provoke Anastasia.

“You’re still aware that he’s my husband?” Anastasia slapped Felicia in the face. “Are you feeling honored to be a mistress?”

She thought, “Is Alastor curious to see how I’ll deal with the conflict between my ‘lover’ and ‘husband’? Wanting to watch a show? Fine. In that case, let’s watch it together.”

Anastasia was also curious to see how Alastor would deal with the conflict between her and Felicia.

Felicia covered her cheek and looked at Anastasia in shock.

She could not believe Anastasia would hit her right in front of Alastor.

“Anastasia, how dare you hit me! You have been indecent yourself! Haven’t you slept with Jason? Don’t tell me you haven’t done that before!” Felicia slandered Anastasia with her high-pitched voice. “There are surveillance cameras everywhere here. If you hit me, I’ll report to the police!”

Anastasia raised her hand and slapped Felicia again.

Before Felicia could react, Anastasia still wanted to keep slapping her.

“Enough!” Alastor finally moved.

He held Anastasia’s wrist. “Are you done?”

Anastasia shook off Alastor’s hand and stumbled to the ground after losing her balance.

“Anastasia!” Jason subconsciously reached forward to protect Anastasia’s head and placed the back of his hand on the broken wine bottle, causing blood to gush out of it.

Jason sighed with relief and held Anastasia in his arms. “It’s okay…”

If he did not protect her just now, Anastasia would have hurt badly falling to the ground.

Anastasia’s body trembled so badly that she could hardly make any sound.

Alastor wanted to step forward but decided to stand still and looked at Anastasia indifferently in the end.

“She fell down on her own, so it has nothing to do with us.” Felicia quickly evaded the responsibility. “She hit me first. I’m going to call the police.”

After saying that, she asked the hotel manager to find the surveillance footage. “Show us the surveillance footage.”

The manager replied helplessly, “Sorry, the surveillance cameras are not working.”

“Alastor!” After refuting by the manager, Felicia acted coquettishly before Alastor in anger. “Alastor, she hit me.” Alastor raised his hand to cover his forehead, evidently suppressing his emotions.

Anastasia had always thought that Alastor hated annoying people, especially women who were too pretentious.

She did not expect that love could make a person so inclusive.

To be honest, Anastasia felt it would be degrading to Alastor to have such a woman like Felicia by his side.

Yet, Alastor could bear Felicia.

Anastasia guessed he might even think Felicia’s personality to be cute.

“That’s enough. Let’s go.” Alastor’s voice was low, and he sounded a little tired.

He took the initiative to hold Felicia’s wrist right in front of Anastasia and led her away.

Felicia did not intend to let Jason and Anastasia go regarding this matter at first, but she had to follow Alastor as he wanted

10 leave.

Steven glanced at Anastasia and snorted. “Just wait for a divorce

Anastasia did not respond.

She would definitely wait for it.

“Let me take you home.” Jason did not ask anything, wanting to send Anastasia home.

“Your hand… Anastasia said in a hoarse voice, feeling guilty.

“It’s okay.” Jason hid the wound in his hand for fear of scaring Anastasia.

“I didn’t expect to cause you so much trouble.” Anastasia turned upset.

She knew both Alastor and Felicia were eager to put charges on her.

“It’s your life. There’s no need to make yourself feel wronged.” Jason stopped persuading Anastasia to divorce but encouraged her not to make herself feel wronged again. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Everyone could see clearly that Alastor did not care about Anastasia.

“Thank you…” Anastasia got up, readying to leave. “I’ll go back myself.”

Anastasia did not let Jason send her home as she did not want to trouble him anymore.

Before leaving, Anastasia gave Jason her phone number. “If Felicia and Alastor bother you again, give me a call. I’ll help you. handle them.”

Jason smiled helplessly as he looked at Anastasia’s phone number written on his palm.

“Why did you have a blitz marriage?” Jason did not understand Anastasia’s decision back then.

“Our family’s issues were quite complicated.” Anastasia leaned against the car, and her voice sounded weak.

“I went on a blind date because my father and stepmother forced me to marry the son of the head of a resettlement village. They tricked me into his residence, trying to sell me…” Anastasia almost lost half her life when she escaped that day.

The first thing she did after escaping was to go on a blind date as she needed to save herself.

“Since I hurt the man who bullied me, I thought he would not let go of me. Unexpectedly, that man came to my house on his knees that night and begged me to let him go.” Anastasia smiled bitterly. “I told Alastor about that incident on the blind. date.”

“Do you think Alastor helped you?” Jason’s voice sounded a little anxious.
