Chapter 427 Falling in Love

Elijah quickly stood up and came to Ben, asking, "Is that an angina? Have you ever had this before?"

While talking, Elijah quickly helped Ben sit on the sofa and let him lean there still.

After a while, Ben recovered.

He shook his head solemnly and finally could answer Elijah's question. "No, never. I have a feeling that

something bad is going to happen."

"Is Imogen about to give birth?" Elijah suddenly narrowed his eyes and asked.

Ben was stunned. "I heard that it's quite dangerous for a woman to give birth!"

Elijah nodded solemnly and said, "My mother said it's dangerous as hell. They might even die."

Ben was suddenly dumbfounded.

After a while, he gritted his teeth and said, "Damn it! I can't even be with her in person at this moment!

How did I let her run away so easily? Damn it!"

"Watch your language, in case it might bring you bad luck!" Elijah glared at him and returned to his

desk to continue working.

Ben sat on the sofa, lost in thought. He looked gloomy and sometimes in a daze.

Elijah finished his work and checked his email as usual. He carefully checked the emails but was

disappointed not to find the email he was expecting. Then, he turned off the computer and asked Ben

what he had been doing every single day. "I still haven't heard from Cordelia and Imogen. What about

you?"Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Ben sneered, "If I had news about them, why would I still sit here and suffer from the angina?"

Elijah threw on his suit jacket and said calmly, "Let's go then! I take you to the hospital."

Half an hour later, Elijah and Ben sat outside the emergency room with poker faces.

"I was obviously in pain just now. It was killing me. But why can't the doctor find anything wrong? Am I

dying?" Ben said with fear, covering his chest with a hand.

"I'm not a doctor," Elijah said coldly.

He just thought what happened today was a bit weird.

"Maybe I should go back to Beilve City later and ask Mr. Carter to check me," Ben said thoughtfully.

"Who do you think you are?" Elijah glared at him and said, "I'll contact Cordelia's senior fellow student,

Lidio, and ask him to check you!"

"Well, well. A family member of the miracle doctor does have privilege." Ben said mockingly.

Elijah smiled and said, "Of course. So, you should kiss my ass more often."

"Get out!"

Imogen felt she had slept for a century before a burst of abdominal pain woke her.

Opening her eyes, she saw Cordelia holding a baby in her arms and feeding it formula.

Imogen turned to the other side of the bed and saw Joyce holding the other baby. It was sleeping

peacefully and looked very sweet.

"Imogen, you are awake!" Cordelia said joyfully.

"Cordelia, my belly aches. It feels like menstruation. I'm having menstrual cramps?" Imogen said

bitterly.

Cordelia smiled and said, "It's okay. You are having an oxytocin infusion now to help your uterus

recover. Bear with it, and you'll be fine in a while."

"No! Why do I still have to endure the pain after childbirth?" Imogen pouted as if about to cry.

"Come on, sweetheart!" Cordelia caressed her face and said, "It won't take long. Bear with it a little

longer, okay?"

Joyce suddenly said with a smile, "Cordelia, you are so gentle with Imogen, as if talking to a baby."

Cordelia smiled gently and said, "Of course I am. From now on, Imogen is officially a mother and will be

treated as a queen. We don't want her to get postpartum depression!"

"Cordelia, I'm about to fall in love with you!" Imogen said emotionally.

Cordelia rolled her eyes and said, "Shut up. I'm straight."

Imogen was speechless, thinking, "Dear Cordelia, is this how you treat a queen? At least pretend a

little longer!"
