Hailey’s Point of View

I have done a lot in my life with my friends. But can’t we really get out of here?

Who am I to make all this happen to me? Why me? There is a lot of people in the world but why this is happening?

I almost lost hope but I can’t give up.

We are stuck in this hell place. I don’t know if there’s a way to get out of here. It’s just my friends who give me the strength to fight. If they disappear I will lose everything too.

“Hailey, are you listening?”

I took the water Alejandra gave to me.

“I need to go. I still have duty to do.” I told them.

“Be careful.” Kent sweetly said.

“Does the wind seem to have changed?” I asked and pouted.

“I just want to make sure nothing bad happens to you.”

“Don’t worry I can do it by myself.” I tried to reduce their nervousness.

When I got to Demon’s office I caught up with him while he’s signing the papers.

His attention went to me. He just gave me a cold look and turned his attention back to the papers.

“You’re always making me waiting.” He said and stood up then took the papers.

He put the papers in my hand.

“It’s heavy.” I complained.

“Don’t complain anymore. That’s my punishment for you. Follow me.”

Seriously? These papers are heavy. I could hardly see where I was going except for him because he was taller than me.

We just walked. The students we would see on the road couldn’t look at us.

“We don’t eat people just bite.” I said in a whisper.

“Where are we really going?”

“Don’t ask. Just follow.”

We stopped walking when a guard stopped us.

“President, we saw another corpse.” The guard said.

“Where?” Demon asked.

The guard took us to the lake. Yes, there is a lake here.

“You know her?” The guard asked.

“Yes, she’s Chloe’s friend.” I directly answered.

Demon took the black notebook from me.

“What is that for?” I asked him.

He put it on page ten. I saw Dahlia’s personal information.

A small fire appeared on Demon’s finger. He put that in Dahlia’s personal information. The whole page was burned but other information was not even burned.

“This is the personal information of all the students. At the time they die they will be removed from it as I did.” He explained.

We just kept walking. He stopped so I stopped too.

“You can leave now.” There is no life Demon says.

“I’m not done with my work yet.”

“Leave.” I rolled my eyes.

I gave him a lot of papers so he looked at me badly.

“You said I could leave so you should take that.” I gave him a teasing smile.

“Bossy.” Almost in a whisper I said.

I stared at him so his eyebrows met.

I stroked my hair before I turned my back on him. I walked away from him and I ignored him.

I just went to the cafeteria to eat because I’ve been hungry for a while.

While eating, the number of students increased. It’s really awkward because all their eyes were on me.

I quickly it my food. As I was about to go out, suddenly someone pulled my hair. He pointed a knife at my neck. The heck!

The students were upset and others were shouting. This woman is going crazy!

“Get me out of this place! If you don’t want me to stab this knife in this woman’s neck!” She shouted.

I could feel the cold and sharp knife in my neck.

A smile flashed on my lips as I saw President Demon and Raze. But they both have a woman with them.

Ms. Angel is right. I’m just a toy if Demon considers me. I shouldn’t have believed him!

“Let me go.”

I was shocked when my voice changed when I said those words. Why did the tone of my voice become cold and frightening?

Am I really the one who spoke?

I shouldn’t have been so close to Demon. I could not have hoped.

I consider you my friend but you treat me like a piece of trash. I’m stupid because i trusted you. That was my biggest mistake!

“Shut up!”

I feel the knife sinking into my neck. I feel not fear but excitement.

I will never be weak again. I will bring back the former Hailey Zoe Devereaux. The woman who is not afraid of death because death is fear to me.

I grabbed the knife that’s why everyone was shocked.

“What are you doing? Do you want to die?” She asked.

“I can’t die yet. Death doesn’t want me to die.”

I kicked her stomach so she let go of the knife. As I confronted her I kicked his chest so she was coughed with blood.

I was full of anger. I am out of control. I still not satisfied. I picked up the knife on the floor. I no doubt pointed it at her neck.

“You want to kill me? I don’t let that happen. You will die first.”

“Y-You’re a demon.” She stammered.

“You should have killed me while you still had a chance. But you didn’t because you’re a stupid.”

I pressed the knife harder against her neck. I could feel the shiver all over her body.

I stabbed the knife in her neck so the blood flowed. I smiled to see blood flowing.

I was excited to kill her.

“Nice!”

Suddenly someone pulled my blouse. I looked sharply at Theo. They are here.

“What is happening to you?” Ethan asked.

Agatha looked at my neck with a little blood coming out.

“You almost killed her!” Kent shouted.

“It’s good because I didn’t kill her.”

I turned my back on them and walked away. Kent stopped me and grabbed my arm.

“You need to be taken to the clinic. You’re neck is bleeding.” Kent worriedly said.

I grabbed my neck. But I could not feel the pain.

“I can’t feel it. This is just a blood. Don’t worry about me.” His forehead furrowed.

He carried me so I didn’t struggle anymore. The rest of our friends followed us.

He took me to the clinic.

“Give me your first aid kit.” Kent said.

Kent slowly healed the wound in my neck so I didn’t feel any pain.

“Thank you, Kent.” I thank him.

“Why did you do that?” Agatha asked.

I don’t know what to answer.

I wasn’t on my own when I did that.

“You’re scary, Hailey. You looked like a different person before.” Aleajandra said.

Is what they say true? Was I really scary before?

“I lost my control before. I’m sorry.” I said.

“You’re out of control earlier. You look like a demon eager to kill.”

“I didn’t mean that, Nadia!”

“I’m scared. Maybe next time you’ll do worse or maybe you will also kill someone.” Nadia says.

I walked away from them. I need to be alone.
