Chapter 26 Death

Hailey’s Point of View

The students ran away because of the loud shout. My hands are sweating and my heart is beating faster.

I knew something bad had happened because of that shout.

We all saw a man lifeless, but his head was missing. I looked up at the tree because blood was dripping from my hand.

I looked up and I saw the head of the man. Many knives were stabbed so that the corpse could no longer be identified.

“Clean up the corpse!” Raze suddenly arrives.

He’s the temporary headmaster, so he knew immediately what had happened.

“Another mess has been cleaned up.” Raze whispered.

“What else are you doing here?”

“You’re all back in your classrooms!” He said, so the students ran fast.

Raze and I were the only ones left here, but my friends also came.

“Won’t you investigate what happened?” Agatha asked.

Raze looked at her coldly.

“For what? That man is just a piece of trash.”

“How can you say that?”

To my annoyance, the tone of my speech increased.

“Pieces of trash must be thrown away. The useless must die.”

My feathers stood up because of what he said and did.

He doesn’t seem to be Raze. It looks like another man is in front of me now.

“You’re not Raze.”

“What do you mean?”

“The Raze I know cares about what’s going on, unlike what I see now.”

“Another Raze you saw and met.”

“Someone died, but you’re really not going to take action?” I shouted, so he grabbed my arm tightly.

“Be careful what you say. You don’t know my whole being yet. ” He warned me and dropped my hand.

“They’re heartless.” Alejandra said.

“That’s the policy here.”

A man said that his mouth was covered, so we could only see his eyes.

“They just showed the students that the weak die fast. The law will remain, so don’t waste any more time. ”

Even with his mouth covered, I knew he was smiling.

What’s wrong with him? Who is he? Why does he just come out every time someone dies?

“It’s better if you go back to the dorm.” He said and looked sharply at me.

“Guys, I’m just going somewhere.” I said, and let them go to the dorm first.

I approached the position where we saw the man’s body.

Something flashing near the tree caught my attention.

When I picked it up, it was a compass. Why is there a compass here?

“Is it possible that someone followed this man before he was killed?”

When I looked at the compass again, its motion was strange. When I faced it north, the arrow suddenly stopped, but when I faced it in the other direction, it moved.

What’s up in the north? The book says no one has yet attempted to go there.

But why would this man want to go there?RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

I decided to go north. It took me to a big building.

There are lights, but they go out.

When I opened the door, someone suddenly spoke.

“Are you following me?” The familiar voice spoke.

When I turned my back, I saw the man with his mouth covered, which I had seen before.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

I paled when I saw the heart he held in his right hand.

While his clothes were bloody.

“Y-You killed the man? Why? ”

I could feel the trembling in my knee.

“If I was the one who killed the man, what would you do?”

“He is a traitor. He must die. In this place, you will be killed or they will kill by you. ”

“You did wrong. You shouldn’t have killed him because destiny will repay you. ”

He laughed.

“Destiny? Do you still believe that? I’m in control of my life and not my destiny. ”

“Death will chase you. I have no choice but to kill him. ”

“You can’t leave this place alive. Don’t believe in destiny because that will weaken you. ”

“There’s another way.” I insited.

“There is. If you kill yourself, you can get out of here. ”

“Unleash the hidden evil within you if you still want to live.”

“There is no evil hidden in me.” My voice trailed off when I said that.

He brought his mouth close to my ear.

“Evil will save you.” He whispered in my ear.

“The enemy of death is evil.” He continued.

“Come with me.” He said and grabbed my arm.

He took me to a place where there were many beautiful birds, but they were all in cages.

“Why are they imprisoned?”

“They should be able to fly freely in the air.”

“It’s deceptive to make it look like. Their true selves are hidden behind their gentle looks.”

He put his hand inside the cage. He caressed the bird, but it immediately bit him.

“Have you seen that? Not everything you see is true.”

“They are willing to kill to live.”

“They’re just birds, and they’re not human.”

“Let’s say they’re one bird, but they’re just like us. Because they have to eat to survive, and we have to kill to survive. ”

“Death cannot be satisfied until we are killed.” I was caught in my mouth when he stabbed the bird.

Is the man in front of me really bad? Has his heart really been wrapped in evil?

“I’m leaving.” I said.

“Hailey, mark my words.”

I was walking straight and I didn’t look at him anymore.

When I got back to the dorm, the words he said still came back to my mind.

Why doesn’t that disappear from my mind?

“What happened to you?” Nadia asked while looking at me.

“Nothing.” I answered.

“Nothing? But something seems to be bothering you. ” Agatha asked.

“I’m just tired.”

“The dead man earlier I feel pity for him. ” Alejandra said.

“Yes. But there’s nothing we can do. He’s dead and nothing can bring him back to life.” Kent deeply said.

“They are vampires, but why were they stabbed with an ordinary knife?” Theo asked.

“No ordinary knife was used to stab him.”

“I’m just going to the library.” I said, and I couldn’t wait for them to speak again.

I’m sure one of the books in the library has written about different types of knives.

I was covered in earlobes because suddenly there was lightning and thunder.

The sky is also getting darker. Maybe it’s going to rain soon. When I got to the library, there were no students.

This library is very large. Where is the book about knives? I need to find that book.
