Dark POV

I’m here now in a cafe with my girlfriend. She was pissed, she was looking for her friend Jewel because her friend didn’t answer her calls, she had been forcing me to call or go to Thunder and ask if Jewel was there.

“Babe, can you sit down first? I’ve been dizzy from what you’re doing.” I told her but she just looked at me and continued with what she was doing.

“Call that devil friend of yours!” she said

I just sighed and picked up my phone to call Thunder, because if I hadn’t done that, she would definitely not stop.

I dialed Thunder’s number many times but the line was busy and no one answered it.

“Oh what? What did he say? Where is Jewel?” Calliyah asked me

“Thunder didn’t answer my call.” I said

She sighed and sat down next to me. I know she’s just worried about her friend, but I know that Jewel is okay in the hands of my friend Thunder.

“Babe, let’s go to Thunder’s house.” she pleaded

“Babe, we are not sure if Thunder is in their house or not! He’s not answering my calls. Don’t be paranoid there, maybe Jewel is just busy so she didn’t manage to answer your call.” I said

“Seriously Dark? Busy? I’ve been calling her for how many days and how many times but she is still not answering it! And now you are saying that I should be calm and not worry about my friend?” she burst out

“What if Thunder and Jewel are busy doing some private things? Then you’ll go there and make trouble?” I ask

It was good and she started to calm down and didn’t push anymore. We just ordered something to eat.

We only got back from Paris yesterday because we were both on vacation. We had a problem before and Calliyah went to another country so when I found out that she had returned here, I immediately talked to her and never let her go again.

In just a couple of minutes our order arrived and we started eating. I thought she forgot about her friend and she suddenly spoke again.

“Babe, I can’t really calm down until I can’t see or even talk to Jewel.” aniya

I put the spoon and fork on my plate and then looked at her intently. “Don’t be a paranoid babe, I think you’re just having jet lag. Jewel is okay, Thunder won’t do anything stupid to his wife.” I reassured

She just nodded and we continued eating.

Even if I really don’t know if Jewel is okay or not, I know if my friend and Jewel are having a bad relationship but I’m sure Thunder won’t do anything to harm her.

I’m just wondering why Thunder isn’t in the office. His secretary said that he hasn’t come in yet and when I called Cain he didn’t answer either.

“You know what babe, I really don’t understand your friend. They were okay back then and their family was close, but why has he been treating my friend like that since they got married?” my girlfriend suddenly asked again

“I don’t know babe, I also don’t know why. Maybe Thunder has a reason.” I answer

“And what’s that? Is it right for him to hurt his wife? If she doesn’t like her wife he should not agree to the marriage.”

“Do you think if he doesn’t agree, the marriage will be canceled? He has no choice babe, let’s hope for the better, you know sooner they’ll be fine too.” I said

“I hope so babe, I feel so sorry for my friend, Jewel doesn’t deserve this.”

After we ate, I invited Calliyah to go around to the mall, so that somehow she would lose her concern for her friend.

FAST FORWARD

2 Months Later

Cain was driving with a smile plastered in his face while Jewel was just sitting quietly next to him.

They went to the hospital for the girl’s final check -up. He was happy to know that it went well again even though he knew that Jewel had not really recovered from the trauma and depression but he was still happy that somehow his friend’s energy was returning.

Tomorrow they will leave for Canada and their Jewel will move on and continue her life, away from pain, suffering and especially with her husband.

“Hey, I guess you’re thinking too deeply.” he getting the maiden’s attention

She immediately looked at him with a smile. “Nothing, I’m just thinking about how I’ve survived what I’ve been through these past few months.”

“You’re a strong woman Jew! The doctor said those who go through this situation, take a long time to recover, but look at you now. In two months you were able to.” I said

“Thank you Cain, thank you for everything! For all the things you’ve done to me, for helping me and for being me all the time and for not leaving me.”

“You’re my friend and I’m always here for you.” I smiled

“You can stay here, it’s already enough that you take care of me for a few months. You are also needed here in the Philippines and the company.”

“It’s okay, I’d rather accompany you there first for at least a few days or weeks, I want to make sure that you’ll be okay.” I insist

“Is there anything I can do? Knowing you, you won’t lose. Hahahaha” she said laughing

“Then why are you arguing with me?”

“Not anymore! Ahm. Cain, can we go to mcdo first? Buy me nuggets, sundae, friends, chocolate float and pie.”

I raised my eyebrow. “Can you finish all that? And when did you start to eat pie? As far as I remember you are not eating that .” I ask

“Of Course! I will eat all of that, that’s why I’m asking you to buy me, right? Hmm.  It’s just I want to eat pie, you know people change! Don’t ask too much.”Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Cain just nodded in response and continued driving.

For several weeks, the young man noticed the changes in the girl but he just doesn’t pay too much attention because maybe Jewel is just recovering in the month that she doesn’t eat much because of what’s happening to her.

When they arrived at Mcdo, they quickly ordered and took the food that the girl wanted and go home because they need to fixed their things

After 30 minutes they arrived at the hotel where the girl was staying, when they arrived at the suit, the girl quickly fell on the sofa and started eating what she bought at the mcdo.

“Oh slowly or you’re gonna choke! It’s like you haven’t been fed for a few days.” Cain laughed

The girl just stared at him and continued eating.
