Chapter 38 A Pair of Charming Eyes
Chapter 38 A Pair of Charming Eyes
Cindy had been following Luna almost from the moment Luna came back. No matter where Luna went,
Cindy would always follow. Even if Luna wanted to go to the bathroom, Cindy followed.
Luna also indulged Cindy.
Cindy wanted to eat Luna's cooking, so Luna cooked. Luna cooked four dishes and one soup which
were all Cindy's favorites.
Having eaten the food that she missed the most for a long time, Cindy danced for joy in her seat. "I am
so happy. Luna, you are still a good cook! Your food is still delicious!"
Cindy seemed to remember something and suddenly stopped. She looked at Brodie who served Luna
a bowl of rice, and then looked at Luna, "Luna, you will be living with Daddy, won't you?"
Luna hesitated for a moment before taking over the bowl that Brodie handed over. "Thank you."
Brodie helped himself with a bowl of rice, and then looked at Cindy as he said firmly, "Yes. Mommy will
live with us for a while."
"So are you two back together? Are you married? Will you attend my parents' meeting together?"
Brodie did not answer. Instead, he placed a piece of meat ball in Cindy's bowl. "You talk too much
today. Don't you say you like the food? Here, have more."
Cindy snorted, showing her dissatisfaction about Brodie, "Mom, don't listen to Brodie. I am always on
my best behavior. Today, you come back, and I am very happy. So I talk a little more."
She explained seriously, in fear that Luna would be unhappy. She also carefully observed Luna's
expression.
Luna felt that her heart was like being gently touched by a pair of tender hands. She almost moved to
tears.
After dinner, Luna bathed Cindy.
After that, Cindy pestered Luna to tell her a story. As Luna talked, Cindy felt sleepy, but she still hugged
Luna's arm.
"Mom, you can't leave Cindy."
"You have to sleep with Cindy. You can't go anywhere."
"Mom, when I wake up tomorrow morning, I want to see you. Don't leave."
Cindy talked so much that she was tired and sleepy. Then she finally fell asleep.
Luna hadn't washed up yet. She was afraid that if she left, Cindy might not find her when Cindy woke
up. Then Cindy might be annoyed and scared. Thinking of this, Luna simply lay down and slept with
Cindy.
At this moment, Brodie knocked on the door and entered.
He looked at Luna.
Luna was tucking Cindy in. When she heard the sound, she turned around.
Brodie pointed at Cindy and whispered, "Is she asleep?"
Luna nodded.
Brodie asked, "Do you want to wash up?"
"No. I'll stay with her."
" ... Then wait for me."
As he spoke, Brodie left.
Luna didn't expect Brodie to bring over the washing utensils that the butler had prepared long ago, a
warm towel and a bottle of mouthwash.
Luna blushed slightly, "Thank you."
She took the things. Then she wiped her eyes and brushed her teeth before she said, "You should go
to rest now." Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Brodie did not leave right away.
He quietly looked at Luna until Luna blushed slightly because of his gaze.
Brodie just blurred out, "What do you think of me?"
Although the room was spacious, Luna felt that the room was somewhat cramped, "What do you
mean?"
"I'm a 28-year-old single man in possession of a good fortune. I have a good job and run a
multinational company. I like you very much and have a daughter with you. Can you accept me?"
Luna blinked.
Luna's eyes shone under the light and reflected gentle light, which enchanted Brodie.
Brodie asked again, "Do you think I'm qualified to date you? I want to have dinner with you, watch
movies with you and attend our daughter's school day. I want to revive our love and create a happy
future with you."
Luna could not refuse, but she could not agree, either. So she remained silent.
However, Brodie ignored her awkwardness and made a rash decision, "Now that you don't speak, I'll
take it that you agree."
Luna didn't know what to say, "You..."
Brodie continued, "I know you still don't believe me. I won't use words to persuade you to believe me.
My actions will tell you my determination."
Luna stammered for a while but did not reply.
Brodie helped them turn off the light, "Good night, Luna."
