Unrivaled Dragon Lord

Chapter 63: Domestic Affairs of the Sandoval Family

Chapter 63: Domestic Affairs of the Sandoval Family

Coldness permeated the room unknowingly. Andreas shivered violently and his expression gradually

became cold and ferocious.

His handsome face seemed to be distorted. When he stared at Greta and Maxwell, a trace of cold light

flashed across his eyes.

Maxwell and Greta were being way too intimate with their arms held together tightly. Maxwell took the

opportunity to reach out his big hand to grasp Greta’s soft hand. Feeling the tender skin on her hand,

he rubbed it continuously…

Although Greta was clam on the surface, she felt butterflies in the stomach, so she could only force a

smile before asking, “Mr. Andreas, is there any problem?”

“He’s your husband?” Andreas pulled himself back. With the wine glass in his hand, he lifted his leg

and strode forward, exuding an imposing aura towards Greta.

Greta’s fine hairs rose and her expressions became serious… Judging from Andreas’ reaction,

apparently he was bearing some bad intentions!

Just as Andreas’ imposing aura was about to envelop Greta, Maxwell suddenly reached out to grasp

Greta’s little hand, which dissipated the fierce aura.

“It’s okay.” Maxwell comforted Greta in a soft tone.

Greta nodded. Greta, who had always been indifferent and aloof, was touched by Maxwell’s sudden

action and her heartbeat quickened.

Nevertheless, Andreas’ face became even more cold and hideous… Maxwell and Greta’s intimation

was a humiliation to him!

was an honor for Greta, whose family was much inferior to his, but Greta humiliated him by marrying

this nothing-for-good!

Andreas’ hand that was holding the glass trembled more violently. All of a sudden, he loosened his

grip, causing the wine glass to fall down to the ground.

“Bang!” The crisp loud sound broke the silence that had been prevailing in the dining hall.

“Sorry. It accidently slid down.” Andreas’ cold and hideous expression was replaced by a calm look and

he curled his lips into a light smile.

Maxwell, who was standing aside, glanced at Andreas meaningfully. This Andreas’s characteristics

were becoming weirder and more unpredictable.

“Have a seat please.” Andreas walked over the table and pulled out a chair.

“Thanks.” Greta walked towards the table and sat down.

Nevertheless, she glanced at Maxwell and found there was no more vacant seat.

“I hadn’t expected that Greta would bring you here today, do I didn’t prepare your seat.” Andreas was

still smiling, “But it doesn’t matter. I’ll call someone to add a seat for you.”

Andreas clapped his hands. Two servants walked over carrying a chair and put it opposite Andreas’

seat.

“Seat yourself,” said Andreas blandly.

Maxwell glanced over the chair and found that it was shorter than other chairs. If he sat on it, he would

look lower than others.

This was an inexplicit humiliation, but Maxwell couldn’t find any excuse to refuse this.

With composure on his face, Maxwell sat down into the chair as if he didn’t care about this at all.

Greta, who was sitting aside, slightly furrowed her brows. But she didn’t say anything.

When everyone had seated themselves to have dinner, Andreas cut a piece of steak and asked with a

smile, “Mr. Maxwell, I heard that you have some insights into western food.”

“I know a little about it.” Maxwell gave him a faint smile.

“Western food… Have you gone abroad?” Charlie asked.

“I once worked overseas.” Maxwell nodded and answered the question truthfully.

“Well, I thought you were from a rich family, but it turns out that you’re just a poor worker who works

abroad.” Andreas’ eldest aunt, Alison Sandoval, smiled and joked in a mocking tone.

“Maxwell, since you’re Greta’s husband, I should be regarded as one of your seniors.” Charlie smiled.

There was suddenly a dramatic change in Maxwell’s attitude. “Uncle Charlie.” He said with an

ingratiating smile.

“Oh, don’t address me ‘Uncle Charlie’, I don’t deserve this address. I just want to ask you about how

you and Greta knew each other.” Charlie fixated his gaze on Maxwell.

Greta shivered slightly as she was overwhelmed by nervousness. She hadn’t expected that Charlie

would interrogate Maxwell on the family feast. What’s more, it was really hard to answer such a

question.

If Maxwell failed to find a perfect excuse and gave away himself, and therefore Andreas, who had

always been careful, and Charlie, discovered something, they would get something to threaten them.

Greta reached out her hand under the table and tugged Maxwell’s cloth, trying to suggest him.

Nevertheless, Maxwell seemed to have not noticed it. He raised his glass and laughed, “I and Greta

first met in an art gallery.”

“Art Gallery?” Charlie was stunned for a moment. He was very surprised.

Even Greta was dumfounded. She glanced over Maxwell with confusion.

“Everyone, do you remember the news report about the counterfeit of Middel’s famous painting on the

auction several days ago? I and Greta was attracted by the other famous painting ‘Sunset Glow’ of

Middel in an art gallery back then. She was fascinated by the sunset glow in the picture. She wondered

whether if she could see such amazingly beautiful sunset glow one day in reality. While I was interested

in the painting skills used in the picture as it had soft lines. Although the reasons why we were

fascinated by it were quite different, this didn’t stop us from getting to know each other.”

Greta glazed over with a weird look. She was quite clear that what Maxwell was making up story just

now, but the painting that he mentioned was real. Plus that Maxwell seemed to be a professional when

he was talking, people would easily mistake him for an art amateur.

Andreas’ eyes became more unfathomable, while Charlie nodded and said smilingly, “Looks like you

and Greta have great chemistry.”

Charlie turned around to look at Greta and asked, “Greta, have you doing well in Ocean City recently?”

“All things went well.” Greta replied in a flat tone as if she was talking to a stranger.

“Greta, I know you still have resentments in mind due to that thing. But that thing happened among

your seniors, and the young generation should not be involved in the grudges among the previous

generation…” He then suddenly moved to the next topic and implied, “Greta, since you chose to attend

this family feast today, it means that you still want to come back to the capital city…” Charlie continued

slowly. But his tone gradually became stern with a trace of indisputability in it.

“We all know your difficulties. As long as you transfer all your shares of the Sandoval Group to us, you

can leave the rest to Andreas.” Charlie added, “Don’t forget this. You’re an offspring of the Sandoval

family.”

“Greta, I’ve given you numerous chances, and this is the last one.” Andreas said in a low voice.

“Don’t try to persuade me any longer. I won’t transfer my shares, unless you tread on my dead body.”

Greta blurted out in a firm tone.

Andreas narrowed his eyes. Charlie threatened her in an oppressive tone, “Greta, I’m showing mercy

to you regarding our past. Don’t push me to… Carrot or stick, it’s your pick!”

Greta smiled lightly, “Do I have any other choice since I stepped into this villa?”

“Don’t talk nonsense with her. She’s just the daughter of a bastard son, where’s her gut to challenge

us? Even if her dad is here, he would have to kneel down respectfully to admit his mistake.” Allison

suddenly stood up and interrupted in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Shut up.” Maxwell, who had remained silent for a long while, suddenly shouted and glanced over her

coldly and indifferently.

“Who do you think you are? You’re not eligible to talk here. Fuck off. Just stand aside!” Cecilia

Sandoval, Andreas’ second aunt, snapped while pounced towards Maxwell.

“Fuck off?” Maxwell looked over with a teasing and ironic look.
