Unexpected Reunion: My Baby Daddy Returns

“Off to somewhere?” He asked the blurry figure in his room, he had assumed it was Antiono since the figure possessed some of his physical attributes.

” Yes…thought I could see Ariel.” A voice answered. It was Antiono’s.

” So early in the morning? You haven’t had breakfast yet.” Aaron muttered sleepily even though he was fully awake.

“Once I get to see her then I can have breakfast, I left them in a bad mood yesterday. I wonder how Ariel is coping.” He explained.

” What if you find out Ariel is your daughter and the result of your unprotected intimate night that took place 6 years ago with Mia.” Aaron announced.

” Whoa…that’s more precise.” He said.

” Don’t worry, tell me about it some other time.”

Antonio, who was already ready to give an answer, became disappointed. He used one of the pillows on the cushion to hit Aaron but he didn’t flinch at all.

” You know you’re supposed to be at work?”

” You know you owe me to do whatever I want since I know your secret?” Aaron defended.

He was right and Antiono had to keep quiet, he wished he had more points to fight with but Aaron was ready for him. He wore a gold Rolex wrist watch as he stepped out of the room. He met his mother having breakfast, he muttered a greeting to her but she didn’t respond.

” Are you still upset with me?” He asked, still he got no response from her.

He sat down and ordered the maid to serve him breakfast, which came after about two minutes. He was halfway through his meal, when he realized he was supposed to see Ariel before she entered her school. He got up and cleaned the crumbs around his mouth with a napkin before leaving without saying anything to his mother.

” Will you like me to drive you, sir?” The chauffeur who was dressed in white that was well ironed and sparkling asked.

” It’s fine…take my mum to the airport, Piper should go with you also.”

That reminded him, he hadn’t seen Piper since she came back. The last time he had seen her was when Charlotte came around, he also thought of Charlotte. For the first time she acted strange, he thought of giving her a call but quickly disposed of the idea.

” Hold on…” He called after,

” Is anything wrong Sir?”

” I thought of something but it’s fine.”

He chose the black range rover because it looked classy and was one of his favorites.

As soon as he entered his car, he called his secretary.

” Hello, call up the manager and send something sweet and nice to Piper Alastor.”

” That’s your sister , sir.” He said hoping it was a mistake.

“Of course. Were you expecting someone else?”

” No.. I just thought that….”

” Keep your thoughts to yourself and you better do a good job. I want her to call me with excitement when she sees it.”

He smiled after dropping the call, that was the first time he was planning a surprise package for anyone, especially Piper. During her birthdays he had always gifted her a car or set of jewels. He hadn’t bothered to check if she was excited to receive them or whether she actually loved them.

He drove to Mia’s house and luckily he found Mia and Ariel outside. He quickly guessed they were waiting for a ride. Ariel saw him first and ran to hug him immediately.

” You’re here.” She screamed in excitement.

“I can’t stay angry with you for long, Ariel.”

” I told mommy to apologize but she said no without giving them further thoughts.”

His phone vibrated, and he checked already guessing it was Piper. He was right.

They must have sent the package, he thought.

The scream from the other end was enough to throw him into eternal deafness. Piper screamed in excitement as soon as he answered.

” You will deafen my ears with your scream, Piper.” He cautioned.

But she didn’t stop, and he pulled the phone away to allow her scream all she liked without it affecting him. For a moment, he felt glad knowing she was excited, he had finally seen how excited she was .

“I’m really sorry, Antiono. I couldn’t control myself.” She apologized after a while.

” Inform me next time about it, I’m sure you don’t plan on making me go deaf.”

“I’m so excited, how do you know I wanted this?”

He smiled, looking for a suitable answer. Actually he had no idea what his secretary had sent to her. He ordered for a job and he got exactly what he wanted. That was perfect.

” Can I call you later?”He didn’t let her respond, he dropped the call immediately. He had felt something usual, something he didn’t want to ever feel.

Damnit! He was beginning to get emotional.

” Mr Antiono , Mr. Antiono.” He turned around to look at Ariel, Mia looked away in a hurry. He bent to become same height as Ariel then asked,

” What’s wrong with your mum, do you know why she wouldn’t talk to me?”

“I have no idea…but I heard whispers from the living room. I would have stayed back to listen but I was so upset. You have a sister?”

“Yes…Piper. You like her?”

He smiled cheerfully at her, examining her eyes and facial attributes. He noticed her eyes and skin were becoming pale, age staggered and for a moment Antonio almost lost his breath.

“Mr. Antonio…I…” she stammered and fell into the arms of Antonio.

” Mia!” Antonio called out in shock to Mia who was taking selfies.

As soon as she saw Ariel in Antonio’s arms, she knew there was trouble and quickly rushed to where she was.

” What happened?”

” I don’t know…help me and let’s take her to the hospital.” He requested.

Mia obeyed, since Ariel was just 5 and not having much body weight, Antiono carried her into the car himself while Mia took her bag and lunch pack. She had no idea if Ariel was still going to school, at that moment all she wanted was her daughter to be fine.

” What hospital is the closest?”

” The Spring hospital…I think it’s just a 5 minutes drive from here.”

As she answered, he turned on his phone for a map and a quickest route.

” She needs a blood transfusion, Mr. Alastor.” Said the doctor immediately Ariel was rushed to emergency. The doctor was the family doctor for the Alastor’s family so it was easy for Ariel to be admitted.

” Then get to work fast.” Antiono ordered.

” Her blood is a rare type but you can donate…that’s if you don’t mind.” He was visibly shaking as the words throb out of his mouth.

He agreed and went inside to donate, Mia looked worried at him. She had not spoken a word since they came to the hospital. He decided to bring up the most crucial matter.

“I have a question, Mia .” He started, holding her hands

” Okay, go on…”

” Who’s Ariel’s father?”
