Under My Boss’ Table

Fortunately, we were not late for work. Breathless, we ran into the office, Edward didn’t care at all how surprised our colleagues greeted us.

Edward closed the door in front of their curious nose. We arrived exactly at the start.

There were exactly two days left until the end of the project and, to our pleasant surprise, we met the deadline. We were praised for our teamwork and especially me, emphasizing that I was promoted relatively recently.

After dinner, Anna came up to me, she was very embarrassed.

“Catch me?” Naturally I was stunned. “Did you decide to catch me this way? But why?”

“I like you very much, Elvira, and I will not stop telling you this. Unfortunately, in our office they like to gossip…” She looked at her colleagues, who were working on their computers, with a reproachful look. “And I found out that you and Edward were together, even though he’s married. I was so mad! It seemed so unfair to me! And I really wanted to lead him into a trap. To make you hate him. I wanted to make it look like he was sticking it to me. “Yeah.” I smiled. Anna’s confession made it a hundred times easier than it was before. Of course, she acted like complete garbage, but… she reminded me of myself, when I was walking on my head too, just to catch Edward.

“Happy for you then, Elvira.” Anna tried to smile, but she got it wrong. “And I’ll quit. Unfortunately, I cannot work here.”

My jaw dropped.

“Uh… Anna? Are you crazy? Do not even think about it! You have just been accepted here, and this is a very prestigious company! Don’t be silly!”

“I won’t be able to see you every day.”

“You know…” I remembered the beginning of my career again. “The same thing happened to me. I also thought about quitting. And I’m still here.”

“The only difference is that you have caught up with Edward and you have also climbed in your career.”

Anna’s tone turned caustic. I stupidly blinked and didn’t have time to respond when she turned and walked away from me. All that was left was to look at her from behind and be silently surprised…

The next day Anna applied for her dismissal and she took sick leave to not show up for work for two weeks. I very much doubted that she was really ill, but I understood her like no one else. If she felt the same emotions for me as I did for Edward, then I could only feel sorry for her, because I wasn’t going to reciprocate at all.

Still, I knew more about men, according to Edward.

After all this confusion was resolved, lightness entered my soul. I was sure that now everything would work out as it should. Everything would collapse on the shelves, everyone would receive their own, both a reward and a punishment. Everything was… fine, or something like that. And the fact that Edward and I grew closer and closer was so natural that I wondered how we managed not to understand each other and hurt each other.

Work was in full swing, Edward and I were completely immersed in our project. I stayed with him at the office late and spent the night with him. In the morning we got up and went back. And all this, together. Colleagues continued to stare at us, but apparently they took it for granted. Only one nuance was disturbing: Alexandra began to avoid me.

I discovered many of his cute habits in everyday life that didn’t irritate me at all. And it turned out that he could cook perfectly.

Sofia did not make herself felt.

Time passed quickly and the day of the project’s completion arrived.

Edward and I were nervous. Rather, I was nervous, because it was my first project and my first big assignment in my new position. Edward, on the other hand, felt good and was willing to resolve any misunderstandings, as befitted a boss.

The Skype recap meeting went surprisingly well. When I reported, my voice cracked at first and I stuttered. But Edward’s supportive look warmed me, and in the middle of the meeting I was already reporting with confidence and felt like someone very important.

In the end, our colleagues from headquarters said that at this moment we belonged to the few regions where work was going well, without any problem.

They also said that I could withdraw but they wanted to continue discussing other issues with Edward.

I got up and was about to leave, but hesitated at the door. I turned around: the boss was listening carefully to his colleagues. A crazy thought popped into my head…

I opened the door. Then, without leaving, I closed it so they could hear on Skype that I was gone. Edward gave me a quick look, trying not to be surprised, but he couldn’t. I put my finger to my lips: “Shhhh…”

Then I licked it. I put it completely in my mouth. Edward understood everything and bit his lower lip. With difficulty he put a serious expression on his face again.

Taking off my shoes, I quietly walked to the table behind the screen and crawled under it. A few seconds of unpleasant sensations on my knees, and there I was at Edward’s feet. There was already a bulge between his legs.
