Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Passion 54

Xavier was truly ruthless.

Yvette pressed her lips together, unable to feel the pain in her palms

anymore.

Snyder Group had suffered losses at Terrence's hands, but at least it had still been around. But now, even the last thing James had left her was gone.

Yvette was well aware that Xavier was doing all of this to get back at her. Staring at the land that had become a wasteland, her throat ached, and she almost burst into tears.

"This is the perfect example of survival of the fittest. You're the CEO of Lane Group; of course you have the final say in everything."

She didn't realize her voice had gone hoarse.

Xavier couldn't believe that even now, she would still refuse to admit she hadn't lost her memory. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

He had expected her to question him, to cry, and to kick up a fuss when she witnessed the scene before her, but she had done none of those things.

Her eyes used to light up when she looked at him, but now they were as calm as the ocean. His heart ached, and he pinched her chin.

"Even you were sold to me by your family! Did you seriously think it'd be the end of the story just because you said you had amnesia? "As long as I'm alive, you can forget about marrying anyone else in this lifetime!" His eyes were bloodshot, and he'd lost all reason. Her pale lips parted slightly. "But you don't exist in my memories. The wife you want is already dead!"

Her words pissed him off. "If you've forgotten everything, then I'll

just have to make you remember them! Even if you're dead, I'll make you come back to life for me!! He then lunged at her like a madman, ignoring her struggles.

"What do you think you're doing, Xavier Lane? Let go of me right now, or I'll sue you for kidnapping!

Ignoring Yvette, Xavier tore open her collar. "I thought you said

you'd forgotten about me. Allow me to help you regain your memories then!"

With that, he bit down hard on her lips. In between gasps, she mumbled his name in protest.

Just then, his phone rang. It was a call from Shannon. Xavier reluctantly let her go and answered the phone.

"Are you here yet, Xav? Hurry up. Everyone's waiting for you."

That evening, Luke and Shannon were hosting a banquet at Imperial Heights to celebrate Mardi Gras and had invited a number of prominent social figures.

After Xavier let go of her, Yvette immediately opened the door and got out of the car. "Mr. Lane, if there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now." Fearing that he would do something else, she hastily fled the

scene.

Xavier, who was still on the phone, stared at her retreating figure. All he could see was red as he recalled what she had said earlier. " Yvette Snyder, unless I die, I won't let you go," he swore inwardly. Meanwhile, Zachary, clad in a baseball cap and mask, was standing at the entrance of Imperial Heights and eyeing the luxurious Bugatti parked near the hotel's entrance.

His bright eyes clouded over when Tristan got out of the car.

Zachary looked just like a mini-version of Xavier. "Since you dared to bully my mom, don't blame me for what happens next!" he muttered under his breath.

After Tristan walked into the hotel, Zachary followed suit. However, a waitress stopped him and said gently, "Little one, you can't play here."

He looked up at her and said sweetly, "I'm here with my dad, miss. He's inside."

When the waitress heard that, she looked at the expensive clothes he was wearing and believed him. "Let me take you to find your father then," she offered.

As she reached out to take his hand, Zachary discreetly dodged it. " No, thank you, miss." Then, he trotted inside.

The waitress felt a tinge of disappointment but couldn't help but admire such an adorable child. "There are so many unruly kids these days; it's rare to see one so polite and well-mannered." Not long after Zachary went inside, Xavier arrived at Imperial Heights.
