Passion 116
After a long while, Yvette felt like something was wrong. Xavier was only kissing her and not doing anything else.
Just as she felt she was running out of breath and her mind was going blank, someone knocked on the door.
Xavier finally stopped kissing her. Mark was there to give him a report. Yvette quickly returned to her seat after she had failed again.
That afternoon, Yvette and Xavier went for lunch together. The driver drove them to the restaurant Xavier frequented.
While they were having lunch, he tested her. "Don't worry. I won't be getting a divorce with you."
Yvette was stunned. Before she could understand what he meant, he calmly said, "Since Daphne wants a fitle, I'm going to give it to her. As for our legal marriage, I won't end it. So, you don't have to worry about it."
She looked at him in disbelief. "Are you kidding me?
"If you don't like it, feel free to give me other suggestions.
She didn't realize he was testing her. "We'll get a divorce, and you can marry Daphne after that."
His face fell. As he had guessed, Yvette was willing to sleep with him, but it wasn't because she wanted to stay with him.
"What's wrong? Isn't it enough that I married you back then? Do you want me to marry someone else now?" He set his cutlery down with a cold expression
Yvette didn't have an appetite anymore. Wasn't Xavier the one who wanted to marry Daphne?
When they were on their way back, it was quiet in the car. Then, Xavier coldly said, "Remember, we're still legally husband and wife. So, don't meet Claude again in the future." She was speechless. "Why can't I even meet my friend when you can be with Daphne?"
"Because I don't like to be betrayed!"
"What do you mean by that?"
"You know what I mean." Xavier's voice was as cold as ice. Then, he added, "If he's just a friend, how can you explain the kid?"
Yvette was stunned. She couldn't admit that she had nothing to do with Claude now. Otherwise, it would be hard for her to explain Noah's existence.
"Noah was just an accident, and I raised him all by myself. There's nothing else going on between me and Claude now."
No man would be fine with his wife having a kid with someone else, especially not one like Xavier. When he heard that Noah was the result of an accident, he tensed up in frustration.
"Did the accident happen after doing it once? Or did you do it twice? Would you say it happened more
than that?"
It was unlikely for someone to get pregnant after doing the deed only once, and Yvette understood what he meant.
She couldn't help but clench her fists, and her face became slightly pale as well. She couldn't handle his interrogation anymore. "Please stop the car. I'm not going back to the office anymore." The driver didn't dare to stop the car without Xavier's permission, and Xavier didn't take her words seriously either.
So, she just opened the door and jumped out of the vehicle. The car had just started moving at that moment, so she only grazed her hands and legs a little when she fell to the ground.
Suddenly, a bike came toward her at great speed, and it was too late for it to slow down. It seemed like the rider was about to collide with Yvette soon.
Xavier rushed out of the car and pulled Yvette into his embrace without any hesitation.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
When the bike was long gone, he made sure that she was fine and scolded her. "Are you crazy?"
