Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 454

Viola didn't say anything when she heard this. Instead, she hugged Yvette and gently patted her back.

Yvette held back her heartache. "She's been deceiving both me and Dad all along."

Yvette had once felt guilty, thinking that Yara was forced to give up her career just to have her.

James, too, often said, "Your mother was stunning on stage when she was young. She was also so gentle. She was every man's dream wife. I was the one who held her back."

He had felt indebted to Yara until the day he died. But now Yvette realized that perhaps Yara had betrayed him from the very beginning.

Viola also didn't expect Yara to be such a person. It only reinforced her belief that the world was full of unjust outcomes.

"Yvvy, someone like that isn't worth our sorrow."

"Yeah." Yvette nodded. "I just can't believe she's my biological mother."

Yvette had gone to the hospital long ago for a paternity test, confirming she was indeed Yara's daughter. But why was Yara so biased and cruel toward her, even though she was her own daughter? Yvette realized there were things she might never understand.

She decided to continue investigating Yara's past. She was determined to reclaim everything the Snyder family had lost.

At that moment, Noah appeared at the door. "Mom, Grandma, what's wrong?"

Yvette quickly pulled away from Viola and hid her vulnerable side. "Nothing. We were just talking."

"Oh." Noah pretended to be clueless. "Then why don't you go downstairs to talk? We have a guest." Guest? Who would come at this hour?

Yvette asked, "Who is it?"

"It's someone who looks exactly like Mr. Xavier," Noah replied.

Someone who looked like Xavier? It must be Jeremiah, then.

After helping Viola lie down, Yvette told Noah to stay upstairs and then headed downstairs.

Jeremiah, dressed in a black coat, sat on the couch, his long legs awkwardly stretched out. As he heard footsteps coming from upstairs, he slowly lifted his head, his gentle eyes reflecting Yvette's calm demeanor.

"Yvvy," Jeremiah greeted her. He didn't mention that he had seen Noah.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Unlike him, Yvette wasn't as composed. She responded politely, "Jeremiah, are you here to see Xav? He's out working."

The way she addressed him by his full name reminded Jeremiah of their relationship.

Jeremiah's eyes darkened slightly, though his expression remained unchanged. "I came to see how you and Xav are settling in and if you need anything."

"No," Yvette said, then seemed to

remember something. "But since you're now the CEO of Titan Corporation, could you ensure that the payments from the contracts Xav Signed are transferred to the clients?"

She figured that with Xavier's temperament, he might be too hesitant to bring it up himself. Yvette didn't want them to continue bearing such a large debt.

Jeremiah looked puzzled. "What

payments?" After a brief pause, as if realizing something, he added, "Did Xav misunderstand something? Even though I've taken over Titan Corporation, 30% of the company's shares still belong to him."

30% of the shares! That was a substantial amount.

Yvette was taken aback. "Didn't Xavier sign a contract transferring all his shares to you?"

Jeremiah had indeed received those shares, but he clarified, "On paper, yes. However, the company still allocates the original share to him. Didn't he tell you?"

Yvette thought it best to ask Xavier about it. "I'm not really familiar with this sort of thing."

"It's better for married couples to be clear about financial matters." Jeremiah took a sip of water and advised her. "If it were me, I certainly wouldn't keep things like this from my wife."
