Chapter 377
Yvette was stunned. Xavier had so many people in his family that she couldn't remember them all. There was no way he was an orphan.
However, she went with what Noah said to lie to him. "Yeah, that's right. That's why he's pitiful, and I have no choice but to keep him for now. Also, he's a strange man who says weird things all the time. So, don't believe what he says, alright?"
Noah was good at pretending, and he nodded with a trusting gaze. "Alright. Don't worry, Mom. I'll never believe what he says."
When she looked at his innocent gaze, she felt bad, thinking she shouldn't lie to him like that. However, she had no other choice.
From what she knew, Noah was a normal child like herself. Meanwhile, Zachary was like Xavier when it came to memory and intelligence. Sometimes, he would make an adult feel ashamed. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
She thought Zachary was the only one who knew Xavier was his father and that Noah didn't know it yet. So, she decided to tell him the truth when he was older.
Yvette and Noah went straight back home. Upon reaching the house, he greeted everyone excitedly, bringing joy to the entire house.
When he saw Xavier, he also greeted the latter politely. "Long time no see, mister. I've missed you so much!"
If Xavier hadn't recovered part of his memories, he would've been tricked by Noah's innocent act. "How much did you miss me?" he asked. Noah was stunned for a while before he said, "A lot! I've missed you so much that I would even think about you when I go to the toilet!"
Xavier immediately remembered how Noah had peed on him back then.
Yvette was almost done setting the dining table when she heard that. She thought something was off with what Noah had said.
Meanwhile, Zachary, who was typing on his keyboard, stopped what he was doing halfway. He realized that, other than Viola, there was another person who could go against Xavier. He was surprised by Noah's quick-witted thinking for making such a comment.
"That's enough. It's time to eat. Go and wash your hands now."
"Alright!" Noah was the first to respond. Then, he looked at Xavier. "Mister, do you want me to wash your hands for you? I can clean them very well."
"No."
"You don't have to be shy. I know you were abandoned by your mom and dad. No one must've taught you how to wash your hands before. I can teach you how to do it."
When Xavier heard that, his face fell

a little. Yvette cleared her throat loudly at the side, hinting at him to go with the flow. So, he had no choice but to keep up the long face as he let Noah teach him how to
wash his hands.
When Noah saw the scars on Xavier's slender hands, he thought it was weird. After all, he knew Xavier had grown up in a great environment, so he didn't understand why the latter had scars.
"Mister, you must have suffered a lot, right? There are so many scars on your hands."
When Yvette heard that, she couldn't help looking toward them. Then, she finally realized that Xavier's good-looking hands were covered in injuries. She remembered how his hands had once been flawless. "I accidentally cut myself on glass before," Xavier indifferently said.
He didn't tell Noah how he'd hurt
himself when Yvette had been trapped in the car after Andy had caused an accident. Xavier had punched the window until it broke, and he'd cut himself while carrying her out of the car.
"How pitiful." Noah looked like he was sympathizing with Xavier.
Then, he patted his chest and said, "Don't worry. Mom and I are both kind people: When you're old and can't provide for yourself, we'll help by sending you to a nursing home. So, make sure you earn enough money to stay in one."
