Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 357

Seeing how obedient Xavier was now, Yvette found it difficult to keep giving him a hard time. So, she had him do some manageable tasks. Sometimes, Mark even secretly helped him with them.

During dinner that night, Xavier suddenly said, "I found a job. From now on, I'll be responsible for the household expenses." With that, he returned the card Yvette had 'given him for the living expenses. Now that some of his memories had resurfaced, he knew that Yvette hadn't given him the card out of

concern.

Yvette looked at the cash card he handed back and wondered about the job he'd mentioned.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Zachary shared Yvette's curiosity and voiced out the question on her mind. "Mr. Xavier, what job did you get?”

Now that Xavier's new company had already been set up, he couldn't keep using his treatment sessions

as an excuse to go out.

"Charity work for the disabled," Xavier replied. Since he couldn't see, he figured this would be a good

excuse.

The others at the table were all shocked upon hearing this. Yvette recalled the old Xavier and knew he'd never done charity sincerely; it had always been for the company's reputation. So, it was truly surprising that he'd choose to do work related to helping the disabled.

Seeing the change in him and how he sincerely wanted to do good, Yvette realized she needed to gradually change her opinion of him.

"How much can your job pay? Just use my card." Nowadays, she could afford the daily expenses. After all, she was no longer the unemployed housewife she'd once been.

"No need." Xavier left the card on the table. With that, he left the table, even though he hadn't eaten much.

Yvette didn't mind; it was fine if he didn't want it. After all, living together meant he should bear part of the living expenses.

She put the cash card away. She hadn't checked the balance; otherwise, she would've realized that he hadn't spent a single cent on the card.

It was Christmas the next day. Yvette had already discussed releasing her new song domestically with Cynthia. After its release, they would see how it did.

Unlike all the other nights, Yvette

slept well that night. She woke up

early the next morning. To her surprise, Xavier had gotten up even earlier. As she went downstairs, he was already about to leave.

"Can you go out on your own?" Yvette casually asked as she saw him neatly dressed in a suit.

Xavier stopped in his tracks. "The company car will pick me up."

Yvette was shocked again. Ordinary

people not only wouldn't get a company car to pick them up but would also have their pay docked if they were late. Yet, Xavier had someone to pick him up!

After watching Xavier leave, Yvette went to prepare breakfast for Zachary and Ray.

Since Zachary's kindergarten was quite far away, Yvette had to ask Ray for help. Ray didn't refuse; his task was to protect Yvette, after all.

Meanwhile, when Xavier stepped out, the driver and Mark were waiting by the roadside. Once he was in the car, he asked Mark, "Quick question-how does Yvette's bodyguard look?"

Back when they had been abroad,

Xavier had Mark investigate Ray, but

the information he'd gotten had

been limited. Since Xavier's memory

hadn't fully recovered, he couldn't remember Ray's appearance.

Hearing the sudden question, Mark vividly described Ray. "He's tall and muscular, with deep-set features." Essentially, he was saying Ray was handsome.

Xavier's face darkened. “Find me some reliable bodyguards."

"We have many under us. What kind of reliable ones do you need, sir?" Mark asked, thinking it was for work.

To his surprise, Xavier added, "Get the plain-looking ones. I prefer them ugly."

"Huh?" Mark was caught off-guard for a moment.

Xavier reiterated, "It's safer to have ugly ones."
