Chapter 341
Yerick realized that his joke had upset Claude, so he quickly called again. "Claude, I was wrong. There's something important I need to tell you."
Claude then listened patiently as Yerick spoke.
"Didn't you ask me to snatch all of Lane Group's recent projects? Everything started off smoothly, but the most recent project was discovered. Xavier came down hard on those of us who stole his business."
Claude didn't inform Yerick about the current CEO of Lane Group was simply an imposter. It seemed that he had underestimated Jeremiah. Claude responded, "Let's pause for now." "Alright."Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
Meanwhile, Xavier received a call from the bodyguard in Tirion. He not only found out that Zachary had gone to the club but had also
discovered his true name.
It was baffling to think what a kid could be up to in a club. Furthermore, he had even spent money there.
After Xavier hung up the phone, he heard footsteps and a man's voice outside the door. He frowned, making his way out of the bedroom. Claude and Yvette had just returned from the supermarket. As the cold wind blew in from outside, Xavier inquired in a composed tone, "Yvette, is there a visitor?"
Before Yvette could answer, Claude smiled and replied, "Mr. Lane, it's me, Claude."
Xavier's expression changed slightly.
Yvette stepped forward. "I'll go cook. You guys can chat." After she had clarified things with Claude, she didn't sense any tension between the
two men.
"I'll help you," said two men simultaneously.
Yvette had already reached the kitchen door and was about to turn them away when she heard Claude say, "Mr. Lane can't see, so let me help you, Yvvy." Xavier was even more upset.
Upon seeing this, Yvette thought about how Xavier had been staying here and was unwilling to leave. Additionally, he was struggling with his
vision.
He had expressed a desire to learn how to cook, but now he was limited to just mashing potatoes and was unable to assist her with anything else. Hence, she agreed with Claude's help. "Okay." Claude gave Xavier a smug look before following Yvette to the kitchen. Alone in the living room, Xavier listened to the two of them talking and laughing, feeling unease.
If he had been able to see, he would've already punched Claude!
Xavier clenched his fists. Suddenly, a fragment of memory emerged in his mind. It was an image of him beating Claude.
He wondered if he had fought with Claude before. As he tried to recover more memories, footsteps sounded at the doorstep again-Zachary had returned home.
Zachary opened the door and found Xavier seated on the couch with an unfriendly expression. As he glanced toward the kitchen, he spotted Yvette and Claude together and immediately understood what was
going on.
He put down his schoolbag and sat next to Xavier. "Are you feeling frustrated? I recommend that you return to the Lane family. With your status, countless women will be drawn to you naturally," Zachary suggested calmly.
Xavier couldn't help but be amused when he heard those words. "Before
I leave, there's a question I'd like to ask you, Zachary."
Zachary was stunned. "How do you know my real name?"
He had been registered at Tirion Kindergarten with his real name, so it had been easy for Xavier to figure things out.
Xavier didn't respond but inquired, "Noah must be your twin, right? Is he your older or younger brother? Why do you have different last names? Where is he now?"
Zachary replied perfunctorily, "It's simple. One of us has our mother's last name, and the other has our father's last name. Isn't that obvious? Why are you so stupid? Noah lives with our dad now. Are you planning on kidnapping him and bringing him here?"
