Chapter 363
Chapter 363
After hearing this, Newell sighed in relief on the other end of the phone.
“If you’re willing to help me out, then my family might make it. But aren’t you scared Leah might do something to you?”
Ive got nothing to lose, man. She, at most, can only take my life. Don’t worry about me.”
Newell felt a pang of guilt upon hearing this. He’d called Elio to cut ties, afraid of being suspected if Leah failed. He hadn’t expected Elio to be ready to sacrifice himself for his family.

“Uh…thanks, man! Didn’t think you’d risk your neck for me.” They weren’t exactly close in the family. They hardly had any contact outside of family gatherings.
Neweil was suddenly regretting teaming up with Leah. But he’d already taken his share.
There was no turning back!
After hanging up, Elio gripped the steering wheel, heading towards Leah’s place.
He glanced back at a black bag on the back seat, his brow furrowed.
It was a gas bomb Elio had prepared a while ago, ready to go down with Leah if necessary.
He was willing to do it to protect the kids.
It was all his doing, and he should be the one to end it..
Night fell, and the wind started to blow.
The cool breeze brushed past her cheeks, as if a storm were imminent.
Clara refused to go inside and waited at the door.
Elio had promised her that he’d bring the kids back, and she believed him.
Suddenly, Nestor rushed out from the living room, pale as a ghost. “Ms. Calloway! Something’s happened!”
Clara turned to look at him. “What’s wrong?”
“Elio took the gas bomb from the secret room!”
“What?”
“Elio made that bomb himself. It’s very toxic! Once it’s activated, everyone in the house will be helpless! Including the one who activated the bomb!”
Clara’s heart tightened. “So Elio’s planning to go down with Leah?”
Nestor nodded vigorously. “I think so! He’s using this to threaten Leah. If it doesn’t work, he’ll..”.
Clara grabbed Nestor. “Quick, call him!”
“I will!” Nestor quickly pulled out his phone, but before he could dial, Clara stopped him.
‘No, if you call him now and try to convince him to come back, he won’t listen! Wait…” Clara started pacing, then pointed at Nestor’s phone. “Text him first. Tell him I’ve passed out and you can’t reach a doctor. Ask him to come back quickly!”
Nestor nodded. “Good idea, Ms. Calloway!”
“If he doesn’t respond, then try calling him. But remember, don’t immediately tell him about the missing gas bomb, Pretend I’ve fainted and you’re panicking. Make it sound urgent!”
“Okay!”
After Nestor sent the text, they both stared at the phone for a few minutes without a reply. Nestor was getting impatient; he was about to call when suddenly…
