True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 297

Chapter 297

Tyler was startled, and then he let out a laugh. He looked at Jensen from head to toe and said, "Oh

Alice, you have a boyfriend now. You should have introduced him to me earlier."

Alice immediately shook her head in embarrassment. "Brother Tyler, there's no such thing. It's just an

accident."

Obviously, Alice did not want to shed light on it.

Jensen examined Tyler with a smile. As a police officer with years of experiences, he had an eye for

detail. It was rare that he would misjudge a person.

They had just fetched Little Gary back and Tyler was already in Grace's house. It showed that he had

an unusual relationship with Grace.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to enter the house so easily.

Moreover, judging from Alice and Little Gary's attitude towards him, that man was the most well-liked

man in the Smith family at that moment.

In an instant, Heinz and he had been defeated.

Jensen had a gut feeling that something was not right. He glanced at Grace and gave her a knowing

look.

Grace appeared from the kitchen with a pot of tea. She said with a faint smile, "You're here, Officer

Charm." "Yes," Jensen nodded at her with a smile.

Tyler put Little Gary down and turned to look at Jensen respectfully. He stretched out his hand and

said, "Nice to meet you, Officer Charm. I'm Tyler Henley."

Jensen hurriedly reached out his hand and shook hands with him. "It's an honor to know you, Mr.

Henley."

"Likewise," Tyler smiled. He then gestured towards the couch and said, "Please have a seat, Officer

Charm."

For a second, Jensen was taken aback. Tyler acted as if he was part of the family and was treating him

as an outsider.

"Sit down and have some tea." Grace had brought a pot of tea along with four cups. She filled the cups

to the brim and served one to Jensen and Tyler each.

"Please," Tyler said to Jensen while gesturing to the cup of tea.

Jensen was baffled. He lowered his gaze as an attempt to mask his confusion.

"Grace, I've been craving for this for a long time. It had been a torture not having to drink the tea you

made for the past few months," Tyler said with a smile.

"You should drink more then. We ate too much greasy food during lunch." Grace continued, "That place

is more suitable for groups. If not, it would just be a waste."

"Where did you go?" Alice picked up a cup of tea and finished it in a gulp.

"Folklore Village. We went there to try out the highly raved fine dining," Grace explained. "Tyler and I

only lasted till the sixth dish. We have taken away the leftovers. I'll heat them up later and we can eat

them together."

"Oh my God! You went to Folklore Village! Why didn't you ask me along?" Alice wailed in

disappointment. "You should've also brought Little Gary along!"

"We were kind of in a rush, so it's not really the best time." Tyler said. "Next time, I'll take all of you

there since I'm not leaving anymore. Officer Charm should also join us. It's my treat."

"It should be on me," Jensen nodded at him. "Let's set a date and go together."

"It doesn't matter who's treating, does it?" Tyler smiled and said. "We'll be having the leftovers from

lunch as dinner. Do you mind, Officer Charm?"

Jensen was in a daze. He shook his head and answered, "No, of course."

"I promise we haven't even touched them." Tyler said, "Grace and I only managed to finish six dishes,

and the rest were untouched. We planned to bring them back for Alice and Little Gary."

"Thankfully, you still have a conscience." Little Gary pouted and his little face contorted. "If not, I would

be angry!"

"I'll make it up to you," Tyler said with a smile. "We had no time as we had work to attend to."

"Alright, I accept your apologies." A smile finally spread across Little Gary's face.

Then, Grace stood and said, "You guys carry on. I'll sort out the dishes."

"I'll help you out in a short while,” Alice said to Grace. She hastily refilled Tyler's cup and asked,

"Brother Tyler, where are you staying now? Do you have a place to stay? Why don't you stay in my

sister's room?"

Jensen was dumbfounded. He couldn't imagine that man staying in the same room as Grace.

He wondered what kind of relationship they were in.

It was too intimate that a man was allowed to live in a woman's room.

Tyler glanced over Grace and lifted his eyebrows. "Grace, can I stay in your room?" he asked cheekily.

"I'm fine with it.” Grace had almost reached the kitchen. She said without looking back, "But this time

you don't seem to have no place to live in."

"I haven't sorted it out yet," Tyler said. "I guess I'll just stay here for the moment and move out when my

house is ready."

"Sure, it's up to you," Grace replied.

Jensen was appalled but he did not show it. He remained his composure and observed Tyler, who

looked relaxed and calm.

Alice looked indifferent as well, as if she was very familiar with the arrangement and there was nothing

strange about it.

It was the same for Gary. He looked accustomed to the whole situation. They were all behaving calmly.

Jensen couldn't help but snap his brows together and wondered what was going on.

Then, he shifted his gaze to the kitchen.

Alice peeked at him and scowled. She gave him a kick and said, "Hey, why aren't you drinking your

tea? What are you looking at?"

Jensen immediately came to his senses. He turned to face Alice and said, "Nothing."

"I'm going to help my sister," Alice pouted and got up from the couch.

Little Gary followed suit. "I'm going to play some games," he announced. "Uncle Henley, can you keep Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Uncle Jensen company?"

"Sure. Go ahead." Tyler waved his hand and gave him a warm smile. "Watch out for your eyes. Don't

play for too long."

"Don't worry, I know what to do," Little Gary said with confidence. "Uncle Henley, it's great that you're

back. I've missed you so much."

"It's my honor to be missed by you," he said to Gary while still beaming. Tyler wasn't used to him

expressing his emotions so openly.

"You're welcome." Little Gary waved back and went into his room.

The living room was only left with Jensen and Tyler.

They sat across each other. Jensen smiled thinly and asked, "What do you do for a living, Mr. Henley?"

"I used to work in the finance industry, more precisely, investment banking. Now I'm still in the same

industry," Tyler answered. "Dealing with money every day."

Tyler was talking about it casually, but Jensen could tell that he was just being low profile.

"Which company do you work for?" Jensen asked.

Tyler replied, "The Wilson Group. I'm now in the United States division."

"So you're the person in-charge?" Jensen said with a smile.

"Just the person in charge of the United States division," Tyler said humbly.

"That's remarkable," Jensen complimented.

"Thanks for your kind words. But I'm certainly no match for the start-up team. I'm just an executor,"

Tyler said with a smile.

Jensen cracked a smile and said, "You're so humble, Mr. Henley. To be able to take the helm of such a

big department, you must be one of a kind."
