Chapter 287
Chapter 287
The street was busy and crowded.
Heinz drove while absentmindedly looking at the streets.
"Ring..."
Suddenly, his phone rang.
He was startled. If he remembered correctly, it was the sound of his personal email notification.
It was that sound.
Under normal circumstances, Heinz would not use that email address.
And now there was a notification out of the blue. Who could it be?
It sent shivers down his spine. He parked the car on the side of the road and checked his inbox. There
was indeed an email.
It was from an unknown sender, whose name was The Mysterious Devil.
Heinz frowned and thought, "What kind of childish name is this?"
"How childish!"
Nevertheless, Heinz clicked on the attached file.
As soon as the file was opened, he heard some soft music playing, which was very soothing.
But the next moment, he immediately widened his eyes.
It was a digital card. There was a row of faeces printed on it.
And there was steam coming off from the faeces.
Heinz's jaw dropped open.
Who had pulled a prank on him?
He thought it was so childish.
He couldn't think of someone who would send him that email. It was baffling to him.
Was it Grace?
That's impossible.
She was not the kind who would do such a thing.
Heinz frowned and examined it thoroughly.
By just looking at the email address, there was no way he could figure out who the sender was.
So, he replied to the email, "Who is this? Is pulling a prank on me so fun?"
After hitting the 'send' button, he realized that it was ludicrous of him to have replied to the stupid email.
Since calling it off with Grace, he was too upset to even take care of the company's affairs. And now
here he was, responding to a prank email.
It didn't take long before another email came back.
It was from the same sender. Heinz opened the file and this time - it was a picture of a bear.
There was nothing else, but a silly- looking big brown bear.
Heinz frowned again. After pondering for a while, he seemed to get the picture.
Was it meant to insult him?
An image of a silly bear sent to him. He was the silly big bear.
"Huh!" Heinz sneered.
The sender must be a very bold person who dared to provoke him.
Heinz replied again, "No matter who you are, stop playing such useless tricks. Such nonsense."
He waited for a long time but there was no response.
At Emerald Apartment.
At Emerald Apartment, Little Gary was staring into his computer screen. His face was twisted into a
scowl.
"Nonsense?" he snorted and said. "You are the stupid big bear who is full of nonsense."
As soon as he said that, Grace knocked on the door.
"Little Gary, can I come in?" she asked.
Little Gary immediately turned off the display and said, "Yes, Mommy."
Grace entered the room and saw that he was sitting up straight. Feeling strange, she walked to him.
"What are you doing?" Grace asked while sitting down on the bed. She took a glance at the computer.
It was showing Gary's favorite game.
"I'm playing games," Little Gary answered. "Mommy, why are you looking at me like that?"
He was indeed sharp.
Grace said with a smile, "I realize that you've been very busy lately. What are you up to? Just playing
games?"
"Yes," he nodded seriously. "I've recently discovered a new game. It's about beating up a silly big bear."
"A silly big bear?" Grace asked in surprise, "Is there such a game?"
"Yes, of course," Little Gary nodded.
"Can you show it to me?" Grace turned her eyes to the computer, but she didn't see any bear.
"Mommy, I'm not playing that game now. I'll show you when I'm on it later."
"Really?" Grace suspected that his son was hiding something from her. "Can't you show me now?"
"But I'm not playing it now." Little Gary spread his hands wide and said, "Mommy, what are you worried
about? I'm just playing games, I'll be out for dinner soon."
"Do you know what you're doing?" Grace said gently. "I'm just saying that you should know what you're
doing and not to do anything dangerous."
"Don't worry, Mommy. I understand," Little Gary gave her a look that showed she had thought too
much.
"I hope I'm thinking too much," Grace said with a smile on her face.
"You really are," Little Gary shrugged.
Grace stood up and rubbed his head. "Okay, I'm going out now. Come out for dinner soon."
"Okay," Little Gary replied.
Once Grace left, Little Gary turned on the display and closed the email interface.
He decided that was all for today. Otherwise, it would be overdone.
He turned off the computer with a pout on his lips and left the room.
Heinz waited for a long time, but still there was no reply from the anonymous sender.
He started the car and left.
The next morning at seven o'clock, Heinz received an email notification again shortly after he had fallen
asleep.
He opened it and saw a cartoon image on it. It was another bear this time.
He recognized the bear as the cartoon Ernest had watched before when he was younger. It was
Backkom Bear, a cartoon series about an unlucky big bear.
Heinz scrolled down. It showed the bear falling off a plane and slamming right into some cow dung
headfirst, with his big butt protruding out of the pile of dung.
Heinz's brows furrowed.
He wondered who the sender was.
Then he replied the email, "Who the hell are you? You have the guts to send me an email but do you
have the guts to accept the consequences?"
Not long after, he got a reply.
There was only one sentence, "You're threatening me, you need to be responsible for me."
"Pfft—" Heinz couldn't help but laugh while holding his phone.
Be responsible?
It was ridiculous.
He didn't reply to the email. He dropped his phone and tried to catch a wink, but he couldn't fall asleep.
After tossing and turning for an hour, he got up to take a shower and got ready for work.
At 9:30 a.m.
Heinz arrived at Jones Estate at half past nine.
Just when he stepped into his office, Lester took a stack of documents into the room and said, NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
"President, you have a meeting with Tyler Henley, the executive officer of Wilson Group, at eleven
today."
Heinz nodded and said, "Okay. Make the necessary arrangements. You'll go with me."
"Yes, President."
At half past ten, Lester drove Heinz to meet Tyler.
After twenty minutes, they arrived at their destination.
As soon as they entered the building, they saw them at the front desk.
As soon as they entered the building, the receptionist greeted them and said, "President Jones, Mr.
Henley is waiting for you in the reception room on the first floor. Please come with me."
"Sure. Thank you," Lester said.
They followed the receptionist and went straight to the meeting room. After knocking on the door, they
heard a low male voice, "Please come in."
"President Henley, President Jones of the Jones Estate is here,” the receptionist said as soon as she
entered the room.
"Okay, please let him in."
Before Heinz could turn around, he heard Grace's voice, "Tyler, since you have things to attend to, I'll
leave first."
