True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 251

Chapter 251

"What were you sneering at?” Heinz's heart skipped a beat when he saw her smile.

Grace said in a sarcastic tone, "I thought a person like you would definitely have had a one night stand

before. But you were so certain that it didn't fit my imagination."

"That's absurd." He said in a deep voice, "I am a man with integrity, of course, I'd never do that."

"Oh." Grace lowered her gaze, the dimness in her eyes concealed by her long eyelashes.

Did he really not remember it at all?

"Okay." She turned over again and said, "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

Looking at her back, a strange look flashed across his face.

His expression turned stiff.

Many years ago, he did experience an unforgettable night with a woman. Till now he still remembered

the feeling vividly.

But it was ages ago.

There's no point revealing it to Grace now.

He didn't want her to feel bad after knowing it.

So he decided to keep it from her.

Moreover, it certainly is not going to put him in a good light.

Back facing Heinz, Graze was feeling conflicted. She believed that she had already asked clearly

enough.

But he was not owning up to it.

It would be humiliating to her if she continued asking. Probably to him too.

Was she too persistent? Or was he too evasive?

It seemed that to him, she was just an ordinary woman whom he could easily ignore and forget after

that fateful night.

She felt an unspeakable bitterness in her heart, and her heart was twisted.

Grace continued to remain silent.

Frustrated, Heinz got out of bed and walked out.

The sound of footsteps was heard, followed by the door opening and closing again.

Grace knew that he was gone.

After thinking for a moment, she sat up straight, took out her phone and rang Alice.

The phone was guickly connected.

"Grace?"

"Hey, Alice." Grace whispered, "Are you home now?"

"Yeah, we're home. Don't worry." To further assure her, Alice continued, "I won't go anywhere. I'll just

stay with Little Gary."

"I'm not worried one bit." Grace knew she could count on her sister. She had been through a lot at a

young age.

"You should take good care of your health," Alice chided her gently.

"I'm fine." Grace lowered her voice, "Alice, did you meet Jensen when you're with Little Gary?"

"Jensen Charm?" Alice said, "No, we separated at the gate of the community before I went to pick Little

Gary up at the kindergarten. Then we went to the supermarket to buy some groceries. We did not meet

again after that."

"Jensen called Heinz and told him that he met a child who looked like him," Grace said.

"Huh." Alice immediately turned to look at Little Gary who was playing building blocks in the living

room.

Something crossed her mind.

"Oh, now that I think about it, Little Gary wandered around by himself for a while in the supermarket.

He probably bumped into Jensen. When we were leaving, I saw Jensen,'¹ Alice explained. She felt that

her guess was right. "He probably didn't see me with Little Gary."

"Oh." Grace breathed a sigh of relief. "I was trying to talk about it to him, but it was complicated."

"Grace, he even let you suck the venom out from him. This man clearly doesn't care about you and

love you enough." Alice was always a straightforward person. She said again, "Don't fall too deeply in

love with him. You'll end up getting hurt."

Grace was astounded. Alice's words made sense.

"In love, the one to fall in love first is the one who gets hurt the most," Alice reminded her, "Even if

you're into him, you shouldn't make it too obvious."

Grace let out a laugh, "Am I that cunning?"

"It's because you're not that Marry had the chance to do that to you." Alice was trying to instill some

sense in her. "You may be harmless, but that's not the same for others."

"Yeah. That makes sense," Grace agreed.

"You bet! I wish you nothing but happiness. Everyone is saying that Heinz Jones is the perfect guy, but

he clearly doesn't care about you as much as you care about him. Take good care of yourself, okay?"

"..." Grace was at a loss for words.

"Love yourself before loving others. " Alice said again, "Don't forget, you still have Little Gary."

She paused and whispered, "You're right."

However, given a choice again, she would still stick her neck out to save him from the snakebite.

Without a doubt.

After hanging up the phone, she stared blankly into space.

At the same time, Heinz entered the room after smoking his cigarette, He saw Grace holding her

phone, seemingly lost in her mind.

He looked deeply at her, and his sharp eyes sank.

Grace lifted her head and realized that he was looking at her with a deep gaze.

She put down her phone, smiled gently, and said, "I'm a little hungry. Can I have dinner now?"

Surprised, Heinz looked at her beaming face, her smile looked far-fetched.

A pang could be felt in his heart. This girl probably minded it, she was forcing a smile on her face.

He took a deep breath and said in a hoarse voice, "Dinner's coming soon. I ordered it from the kitchen

at my house, so it'll take longer."

"Okay." Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

Just like that, silence settled over the room.

They sat quietly on the hospital bed, not talking to each other.

The atmosphere became tense again as the silence dragged on.

In Grace's mind, she decided that she would come clear with Heinz about Little Gary when the right

time came.

Obviously, he was not willing to face it right now.

She was afraid that it wouldn't turn out well if she told him.

Grace told herself that she shouldn't fuss about it too much as it would just burden her.

Truth be told, her relationship with Heinz was not stable.

"Time for your checkup." Suddenly, the door opened and a nurse said to Grace, "Miss Smith, please

prepare yourself for the ultrasound scan."

"Where am I going to have the scan?"Grace asked.

"The B-scan Room," the nurse replied.

Grace got up and started preparing.

Not long after, she was pushed in a wheelchair to the examination room.

When she waited for the examination outside the room, she caught sight of Marry.

Marry was also in a wheelchair, being pushed by Simon.

Marry looked pale and haggard. She didn't look as energetic as she used to be.

Soon they were facing each other directly.

Once Marry saw Grace, her eyes were filled with rage. She glared at Grace and said coldly, "What

goes around comes around. You just caused me to lose my baby and now you're in hospital. Karma's a

b*tch indeed."
