True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 208

Chapter 208

Grace Smith was stunned and she looked at him with doubt in her eyes.

"Were you on your own that night?" Grace asked.

Jensen Charm was also dumbfounded, and his sharp eyes met Grace's.

He felt that there was definitely a reason for her to ask such a question.

Jensen raised his eyebrows slightly and asked, "Why do you ask that?"

Grace rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Nothing.

I just feel strange that everything was too coincidental."

Maybe Jensen didn't know what had happened to Heinz Jones that night.

Or, perhaps he was helping Heinz to hide something. Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

There was that possibility too.

Jensen had no time to think about other things and recalled the incident.

"I remember that I accidentally stopped at an entrance of a tent and was suddenly hugged by a girl,"

Jensen said.

Grace was shocked. It was exactly what Alice Smith had told her.

"I remember that the girl was drunk and I had basically no self- control at that time. When she

hugged me, I hugged back instinctively. She was a very young girl. And then..." Jensen said.

Grace frowned and asked, "Did you run away after you slept with her? Did you leave after that?"

Jensen was dumbstruck. His face was stiff and he was very embarrassed.

He took a deep breath and calmed himself down, then he continued awkwardly, "I woke up at around

four o'clock in the morning the next day and I looked around but the girl was gone."

Grace felt a slight pain in her heart when she thought of her sister being treated like this.

"I didn't know where the girl went. She basically disappeared. I, I left a note and my phone number, but

she never contacted me. Of course, I had also left 2,000 dollars, which was all I had on me then, for

her," Jensen said.

"Do you think 2,000 dollars can make up for that girl's trauma?" Grace's eyes suddenly became cold

and she said, "Do you know how miserable this matter is for a girl?"

"No, no!" Jensen immediately shook his head. "I definitely don't mean that. What I want to say is that I

really wanted to be responsible at that time."

"Then why didn't you find her when it was dawn?" Grace asked.

"She might have left early in the morning. Also, as a policeman, I felt too embarrassed that I did such a

thing. I was afraid that the news would be spread out and I would be publicly shamed," Jensen

explained and eventually became speechless.

Grace was furious and asked indignantly, "What about the harm that you had done to her?"

Jensen was very intimidated by Grace's sharp eyes. He immediately explained, "I thought that the girl

didn't want to see me and didn't want this matter to be known by others, so that's why she left quietly."

"Ha." Grace let out a laugh and said coldly, "In my opinion, only men would be proud of doing these

things, but women would always be on the losing side. What's more, the harm brought to women is

unprecedented."

He nodded. "So all these years whenever I thought about that incident, I feel guilty about it," Jensen

said.

"Then why didn't you go and find her?" Grace asked directly.

Jensen opened his mouth and was about to say something, but Grace interrupted him. "You are a

policeman. I believe that if you want to find her, it won't be that hard."

"I..." Jensen paused, and his face was full of embarrassment.

"You never looked for her because you haven't figured out whether you want to be responsible for that

matter or not. That matter may be a hindrance to your future, right?" Grace snapped.

"Grace, can you stop being so direct?" Jensen was covered with cold sweat and felt very embarrassed

when Grace shot the words at him.

Grace did not intend to let him go. She said in a low voice, "You think this might cause a stain in your

life, so you didn't dare to look for her."

"Grace," Jensen said while feeling ashamed, "You're right. It's true."

Grace pursed her lips with anger in her eyes.

Men were all the same.

In fact, humans were all like this. When things like this happened, no one would think about taking

responsibility for it.

Their first thought would be self-protection. It would be only after some time that they would feel sorry

for it and let it become a burden for the rest of their life.

When Jensen wanted to make up for what he had done wrong, the person couldn't be found anymore.

Thinking that it was her sister who was hurt by him, Grace looked at Jensen in utter frustration.

But thinking of Heinz, she was even more irritated.

Heinz, that bloody man, must have never thought of taking responsibility for that incident. He continued

to have a relationship with her, whom he was completely unfamiliar with six years later.

He was not a responsible man at all.

The thought of looking for the woman, whom he had slept with six years ago, didn't even flash across

his mind.

Ha.

Perhaps Heinz was even worse than Jensen.

Thinking of this, Grace became even more clearheaded.

Heinz was not a good person.

"Grace, you haven't told me who the girl is," Jensen said anxiously. "Tell me quickly."

"What's the point of telling you?" Grace said, "You've hurt her and she has no interest in men now. She

doesn't want to be in a relationship and even wants to be single all her life. What's the point of telling

you now?"

Jensen frowned, and his eyes were full of guilt, "I..."

Grace looked at him coldly and said word by word, "When that happened, she was still underaged."

Jensen's face suddenly turned pale.

The word "underaged" was like a heavy hammer hitting his heart, and he felt so painful and

uncomfortable.

He lowered his eyes to hide the embarrassment and anxiety in his eyes, as well as his deep guilt.

The older he was, the more guilt he felt.

He really felt that the more successful he was, the more guilty he felt towards the little girl.

Therefore, over the past few years, he had been single and had never fallen in love with anyone.

"Jensen, if this case is registered for investigation, you will be sentenced, and you will go to jail. That

girl was still a minor, and you will become a rapist," Grace said coldly.

Jensen's face became even paler and he raised his eyes which were filled with shock and depression.

Eventually, his look became apologetic.

"Grace, what do you think I should do? Is she going to sue me?" Jensen asked.

Grace asked in reply with an impassive face, "What would you do if she sues you?"

Jensen shook his head and said, "I have nothing to say. I'm guilty. It's reasonable for her to sue me."

Grace could tell that Jensen was really apologetic about it. She said, "That girl is my sister, Alice."

Jensen suddenly opened his eyes wide in shock and looked at Grace in astonishment. "What, what did

you say?"

Grace looked into his eyes sharply and said word by word, "The girl you hurt that day is my sister,

Alice, whom you saw yesterday."

Jensen was stunned.

"Alice was only 17 years old then," Grace said. "Jensen, my sister doesn't know that it was you who did

that to her. She doesn't want to find a boyfriend since then. She has been like this for all these years,

and she has been single since."

"I," Jensen murmured, "I'm sorry, I... Grace, tell me, I'll do whatever you tell me to do."
