Chapter 190
Chapter 190
"Sister, it's Heinz," Alice Smith lowered her voice and said. "How could it be Heinz? He's looking at you.
He's been watching you all this while."
Of course Grace Smith saw the man standing in the distance.
More importantly, he was looking at her.
"Sister, is he looking for you?" Alice said again softly. "Should I leave first?"
Being aware of the circumstances, she decided to leave first. After all, it was inconsiderate to be the
third wheel.
Alice locked her shoulders and walked past Grace.
Then, she hid in a nearby corner.
Grace suddenly came to her senses. When she looked for Alice, her sister had already disappeared.
She took a conscious breath, looked at Heinz, and averted her eyes.
Grace thought, "Since I have already made up my mind, why am I making myself more depressed?"
She quickly turned her head and walked towards the other end.
Watching her turn around and leave, the man realised that she was going to ignore him and he quickly
raced over.
In a flash, he was by Grace's side. He reached out and grabbed her wrist.
He gripped it so tightly that Grace felt the pain.
Grace stopped, turned around to look at him, and said coldly, "Sir, please let go of me."
As soon as she finished speaking, she saw Heinz Jones look at her with passionate eyes, as if he was
looking at his lover.
It was like a gaze between a couple in love.
Grace found it ironic. She thought that he shouldn't be looking at her like that.
She didn't move or say anything. Instead, she just looked at him coldly.
"Grace," Heinz called her name in an exceptionally hoarse voice.
Hearing him call her in such a voice, Grace felt uncomfortable. She felt sad but still wore a look of
indifference.
She was unmoved and her eyes did not even focus on Heinz. She did not look at him but just stared
blankly at a random spot.
Heinz understood her attitude. He asked patiently, "Did you come to the hospital last night?"
As he said this, he stared at Grace's expression and found that her pupils had suddenly contracted.
Heinz knew that she had heard him.
He continued, "Did you see me holding a child?"
Grace was stunned again, but she still didn't say a word.
In fact, Heinz would rather Grace be angry at him, scold him, or yell at him. But she did none of that.
She was still impassive and did not even glance at him, which got him irritated.
Because he dared not get angry, he said helplessly and worriedly, "The child is not mine. He is my
sister's child, my nephew."
Grace heard the straightforward explanation.
She was dumbfounded, as if she had never thought of that.
However, Grace was only momentarily speechless. There were other problems that concerned her.
He had broken up with her and they were already separated. She didn't think it was necessary to be
together now.
She said faintly, "Sir, did you mistake me for somebody else?"
Her words almost drove Heinz mad.
He gritted his teeth and the veins on his forehead bulged violently. His eyes were tightly locked on hers.
"Grace, what did you say?"
"I don't know you." Grace still looked indifferent. In fact, since they were broken up, she treated him as
a stranger.
"D*mn it." He was about to stomp in rage. "Why are you doing this? Don't pretend that you don't know
me. We even slept together, and yet you're pretending not to know me?"
Upon hearing him say that in front of so many people, Grace's face suddenly turned hot.
She also sneered back, "Sir, even if we slept together, the sun has risen and we don't have to pretend
to know each other anymore. Now I remember clearly that you broke up with me.¹' Grace looked at
Heinz coldly and enunciated her words. "I have decided never to bother you again. As for you, please
remember your own words."
"Grace, are you serious?" Heinz angrily pulled her into his arms and said, "Why did you take my words
so seriously? Well, now I'm saying that I want to reconcile with you."
"I'm sorry," Grace said coldly. "I'm not the kind of woman who will come running as soon as you call
her."
She felt that he did not respect her.
Heinz was too much of a male chauvinist. He broke up with her as he wished, and thought that she
would come running as soon as he called.
If she really didn't mind. If she would really appear the moment he beckoned her, then she would be a
person with no principles.
Grace turned away and didn't want to look at him anymore.
"What should I do so that you won't be angry anymore?" Heinz looked at her impassive face and said
helplessly. "Why are you so petty?"
Petty?
He thought that she was petty.
He really didn't respect her.
Grace forcefully tried to free her hand, but Heinz was too strong. He held on to her hand.
Even when she struggled like this, she didn't look at
him.
Grace's attitude was obvious. She didn't want to look at him, meet him, or bother about him anymore.
As for reconciling, that was out of the question.
Heinz frowned without letting go of her hand. He just looked at her and said, "Grace, what if I
apologise?"
This might have been the most humble Heinz had ever been.
However, she closed her eyes and said in a deep voice, "Mr. Jones, you don't have to apologise. In NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
fact, I believe that you think you are innocent. In your mind, I'm the one at fault. Yes, I shouldn't have
hugged Simon, but you wouldn't accept my apology. You never even considered that I had no ill
intentions. You are right, I will always be inferior to you."
Heinz stared at her without moving an inch. He just looked at her blankly.
Grace laughed at herself and said sadly, "I don't want to say anything else, and I don't want to have any
more contact with you. Mr. Jones, please be magnanimous to me, and let's not see each other
anymore."
"Don't even think about it." Heinz clutched her wrist tightly, exerting a lot of strength.
Grace licked and bit her lips, looking unconcerned.
She was very tensed.
Heinz could also tell that she was really cold and closed off.
He seemed to have really hurt her.
"Grace, I apologise." There was a hint of seriousness in his tone.
Grace shook her head and said, "No, it's not necessary, really."
The truth was that Heinz really did not see his mistake. He merely considered himself superior to her.
And she didn't want that.
"I don't want to talk to you. Please let go of me," Grace pronounced each word clearly. "There's no
need to get in touch anymore."
"Grace, why do you have to do this?" Seeing that she was stubborn, Heinz felt even more worried. "If
you think I'm so wrong, could you at least tell me what I did wrong?"
Grace immediately frowned and forcefully withdrew her hand.
Heinz was stunned that she had broken free from him.
Grace said lightly, "You're not sincere in your apology, Mr. Jones. We're really not compatible. I don't
want to say anything else. Let's wish each other happiness."
