Chapter 170
Chapter 170
Heinz frowned as he tried to recollect his memories
Remi widened her eyes and looked at Heinz, hoping he could remember her.
However, Heinz looked indifferent and a little annoyed.
"Mr. Jones, you really can't remember me?” Remi asked in disbelief.
Heinz stared at her, annoyance evident in his tone. "Am I supposed to remember?"
Remi's lips trembled and her tears started pouring.
Heinz glanced at her crying and frowned, "Lester, go get us another nurse."
"Yes sir!" Lester took a quick glance at Remi and scurried out the room.
Remi still couldn't believe the scene unfolding in front of her as she stood at the corner, her tears never
stopped flowing.
"Get out," Heinz said coldly.
It was awkward to see a grown lady shedding tears in public.
"Mr. Jones, I...I thought you would have remembered me." Remi refused to leave. She glanced at
Heinz and whispered, "I always remembered you all these years. But..."
Heinz scoffed, "You'd read too many fairy tales. I'd helped so many people with their problems through This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
the years. Do you think I can remember each and every one of them?"
Remi staggered as she placed the tray on the table. She then turned around and ran out of the room.
Grace felt a little sympathetic towards her.
Girls enjoy fairy tales and it is normal for them to eventually fall for the person who had shown them
kindness before.
Grace noticed Heinz's disturbed expression - he probably didn't expect this to happen either.
"You're so harsh towards her, what if she does something unthinkable to herself?" Grace muttered.
"Do something unthinkable to herself?" Heinz said coldly, "Then that's none of my business. Am I
supposed to comfort her because of her one-sided feelings? Am I supposed to remember every single
person whom I'd helped before? There is only so much I can do, Grace."
"But she admires you so much." Grace reminded him, "You're too harsh, I think you hurt her feelings."
"Grace!" Heinz exclaimed, "Which side are you on?"
Grace blinked her eyes and realized that he was really upset. "I'm afraid that something bad might
happen."
"Even if something happens, I will not allow any kind of misunderstanding to brew from my end," Heinz
said flatly.
Grace was stunned and saw that his eyes were brightly lit with determination.
At this moment Lester entered the room, with another nurse following him closely behind.
Heinz looked at Lester and ordered, "The nurse who will be attending to Grace should know her duty
well. If anyone has any foul intentions, report immediately to me."
"Understood." Lester immediately nodded.
The newly-assigned nurse shivered at Heinz's cold tone, "Mr. Jones, Miss Smith, you can rest assured
that we will abide by our duty."
"That is good to hear," Heinz said in a deep voice.
The nurse smiled and gave an injection to Grace.
This time, it only took one try. Heinz was satisfied.
His phone suddenly rang. It was an important call about his business. He quickly answered the phone.
Grace motioned to the other man in the room, "Mr. Lester, could you please check on Nurse Remi and
see if she's alright?"
Lester nodded, "Okay, Miss Smith."
Lester has nothing but praises for Grace. The woman, while she has quite a feisty mouth, she is kind-
hearted and attentive and really cares for the President.
"Lester!" Heinz finished the call and asked for his subordinate. When he turned around and saw that
Lester was gone, he frowned, "Where did he go?"
"He is running an errand for me," Grace said. "If you're busy, you should go and settle your stuff. I think
I'm feeling much better today."
"I'm not busy at all." He shook his head. "What is Lester doing?"
"He'll be back in a minute," Grace responded.
When Lester returned, he turned to speak to Grace, "She's okay, Miss Smith. She only cried for a little
while more." "That's good." Grace nodded.
Heinz looked at Grace, his eyes filled with curiosity. "You asked Lester to check on the nurse just now?"
"That's Nurse Remi for you," Grace said, "And I'm relieved knowing that she's alright."
Heinz didn't say anything. Instead, he fixed his eyes on Grace.
After a while, Heinz and Lester seemed to have something to discuss and they left the room together.
Grace was alone in the room finishing her drips, then someone suddenly knocked on the door.
She was stunned and looked up, only to see Marry standing at the door.
"Grace!"
Grace was annoyed to see her. "What are you doing here?"
Marry looked around with a smile and said, "Grace, are things alright with you and Heinz?"
Grace felt a stab in her heart. She narrowed her eyes and asked, "What do you mean?"
"Since you're with Heinz then you should be fine. It seems that Heinz is really interested in you." Marry
smiled, "I'm relieved."
Coldness flashed across Grace's eyes. "If you're able to find me here, that would mean that you have
done your research, am I right to say that? You're trying to test my relationship with Heinz. Tell me,
what are you planning?"
"Grace, listen to me." Marry muttered seriously, "The truth is Heinz is going to tear down the garden in
our house."
Grace's heart skipped a beat.
That garden was left by Grandma after she passed. Heinz was going to tear it down?
Marry smiled, "Grace, I know that you treasure the things left by Grandma. She loved and cared for you
so much when she was still alive. I don't ask for anything else. I just hope that you can preserve that
piece of land and don't let Heinz tear it down."
Grace coldly looked at Marry's smiling face, "Are you using me?"
"Don't make it sound so terrible." Marry smiled wryly, "We are all responsible to protect Grandma's
belongings."
"No, that's your responsibility," Grace said coldly, "Don't forget that you're the head of the Sunny Group
."
"Grace." Marry's expression changed slightly. She stopped smiling and uttered seriously, "I know you
blame me for a lot of the things that have happened, but we don't have much of Grandma's things left.
It's our common responsibility to save that piece of land. I hope you will think this through logically and
focus on the overall situation."
Grace could feel her anger rising. "The overall situation? What overall situation?"
"You are a Smith.” Marry responded calmly, "Even if you refuse to acknowledge that, it is still an
indisputable fact. I know we have our misunderstandings, but at the end of the day, you are still Grace
Smith, the second daughter of the Sunny Group and Grandma's granddaughter. That land was the love
of her life. She planted all kinds of flowers and plants. If it's torn down, you will never be able to
appreciate the product of Grandma's love anymore."
Grace sneered, "So is that the reason you brought the photo album here? To test Heinz?"
"It's up to you what you'd like to think." Marry looked at her quietly. "I'm really here to save Grandma's
land. But I honestly didn't expect that you are in a relationship with Heinz. If that's the case, then good
for you my dear sister. He is indeed much better than Simon Brown."
