Yulia’s heart was racing, but she could not bring herself to ask him. Although she had never dated anyone before, she still understood how to read the room.

She found it inappropriate to probe about his life in such a delightful environment.

Suddenly, some cheerful music began to play while they were still eating. After that, the manager wheeled a nine-layered tall cake out for them.

The lights were dimmed as Skylar lit the candles while smiling at Yulia and said, “Make a wish, Yulia.”

It seemed that Nicholas was touched by everything he told Yulia. People who did not know the truth might actually think that he was the mysterious buyer that bought the Star of Cullinan.

If none of what happened really happened back then, Yulia might actually be charmed by his words. Even if she was not attracted to Nicholas back then, it would be impossible for her to not be touched when a man was willing to use his company as collateral just to make her happy.

Unfortunately for him, the world did not work like that. However, before Yulia could say anything, Skylar laughed and tapped the desk with his fingers before playfully asking Nicholas, “The Star of Cullinan?”
