Chapter 1561
Chapter 1561
When Molly walked over, she realized that the Venomous Insect was a size smaller than before.
She turned to Mr. Ballard and asked curiously, "How come it’s gotten smaller?"
Mr. Ballard walked over to take a look. He then smiled and explained, "That's because this Venomous Insect relies on human flesh to survive. Now that it's removed from the human body, it's normal for it to become smaller."
"Looks like it's losing weight quite quickly."
As she said those words, Molly used a set of tweezers to fiddle with the Venomous Insect.
This gave Edmund the goosebumps and he glared at Molly as if he had seen a ghost.
'She's so pretty, but I've never expected her to have such disgusting interests as well. How can she have the same reaction as Logan? How can she not have any reactions when faced with something so disgusting? That's just sick!' Edmund exclaimed inwardly.
Guessing what he was thinking, Mr. Ballard patted Edmund's shoulder and said with a smile, "Edmund, it's something that you'll rarely see. Using it as research might be able to improve the current medical technology by a lot." Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Edmund locked gazes with Mr. Ballard's expectant eyes and laughed awkwardly. "You're right, Mr. Ballard. I was being a little too shallow."
With that said, Molly and Logan couldn't help but laugh.
Logan then said, "Molly, do you want to see my research data?"
Molly's eyes lit up and she quickly nodded her head. "Of course, I want to take a look."
She had always been interested in such things.
Seeing that Molly couldn't wait, Logan couldn't help but let out a helpless smile and went to fetch the report.
"This is the data that Edmund and I have obtained so far."
Logan handed the report to Molly.
The latter took the report and looked at the data carefully.
There was no expression on her face. She seemed to be very serious.
Molly only raised her head after she had finished looking at the data. She said with a frown, "Looks like this Venomous Insect is way more toxic than we thought."
"How can something so disgusting not be toxic?" Edmund pursed his lips.
Molly glanced at him and her eyes darkened. "Eaton's just a madman. He really doesn't care about anything!"
If it weren't for that madman, neither she nor Mr. Ballard would have come in contact with Venomous Insects for the whole of their lives.
At the mention of Eaton, the smile on Mr. Ballard's face disappeared. He then asked in a deep voice, "Have you found him?"
Molly had told him about Eaton's escape before. Two days had passed and the island was only so big. It was unlikely that they couldn't find Eaton.
"No." Molly shook her head. A worried look appeared slowly on her face. Her grip tightened on the report.
Whenever she thought of the fact that Eaton wasn't found yet, she would become worried. She was really worried that Eaton was going to ruin her plans.
"Don't worry. We should have faith in Sean." Mr. Ballard tried to comfort Molly.
Edmund also nodded in agreement. "That's right. Mr. Anderson can save Logan, so Eaton will be no trouble at all for him."
After hearing those words, Molly felt warm deep down. She then finally smiled. "Yes, I know."
The most important thing for Molly at the moment was to stabilize Kara's health status and take the Venomous Insect out to cure Sean.
With that thought in mind, she calmed down and went back to her own research lab with Mr. Ballard to continue making the medicine.
During the night, Sean came to the research laboratory to pick Molly upas usual.
The street lamps on both sides of the road were lit up. Molly sat in the passenger seat and saw that there was a car behind them as she looked at the rearview mirror with the corners of her eyes.
At first, she didn't really care about it, but after taking two turns, the car was still behind them. This caused Molly to feel that something was wrong.
'Why do I feel that we're being followed?' wondered Molly.
Sean noticed her strange behavior and asked, "What's wrong?"
