She opened her eyes when she heard Jeffery's voice. She rushed to him in spite of the pain on her feet

and said, "Jeffery, I just want to go back to save the company. I don't want to be here and investigate

anything any more."

Jeffery was confused by her words. He looked at the frightened woman and thought, 'What was she

talking about? What did she want to investigate?

But is this place really terrifying?' He had been living there for a dozen years. Nobody but he and the

Cathy pushed him further, "Jeffery, could you stay with me tonight?"

"Don't get me wrong. I meant that you can sleep on the ground, and I will sleep on the bed."

Cathy pouted and said, "But you're a man, and I'm a woman. Men are supposed to take care of

it?"

Cathy stood up and held her arms across her chest. She proudly looked at Jeffery and said, "Well,

under this situation, I can pretend to be your girlfriend for a few hours. Come on, let's go rest, and as

I've said, I sleep in the bed, while you on the ground."

afraid of being with a man alone?"

"Nope, " Cathy answered with certainty.

"Why are you so sure? Do you think that you're not attractive to me at all?"

Cathy evilly smiled and said, "Because of Angela." She knew that Jeffery loved Angela, so he wouldn't

touch any other women.

Cathy could sense the change of atmosphere when she mentioned Angela. Jeffery glanced at her and

said, "Never say that name in front of me again." "You started it, okay?" Cathy said. Wasn't it he who

wanted her to have a plastic surgery to look more like Angela before trying to catch his attention?

Jeffery had no choice, so he walked into her room.

With two people in the room, it relaxed Cathy. But when she was about to sleep, she suddenly

remembered something.

She checked her watch. It was nearly 4 AM, the time when most people were sleeping.

She called out to Jeffery in a hushed voice.

But Jeffery didn't answer. He was obviously asleep. Perfect...

She quietly got out of her bed, walked over to Jeffery, and lay down beside him.

Charm?"

"Many years."

she wouldn't have to get close to him anymore. She asked, "Who instigated you to break into Zhusong

Group's defense system?"

But Jeffery didn't answer.
