Fortunately, they both listened to me. I don’t want to be the cause of trouble and another thing I don’t want the dinner of the two families to be ruined just because of me and Reign. Honestly I want to tell Luke the truth but he might just not believe me.

Dinner has already started and even though I don’t want to, I need to act and be plastic in front of this bitch Reign and pretend that we just met so that no one will notice that something bad happened to the two of us.

Later on I excuse myself to go out for a minute to have some air but I don’t know why Ethan followed me. I really don’t understand this man’s behavior. I don’t know what’s on his mind, whether he already accepts me as soon to be his sister or not? That’s why I can’t call him brother because I’m also shy.

“Why are you here?” I asked him.

We are currently outside the mansion and ventilating.

“I just need to breathe, I know they’re just talking about business and about Luke and Reign’s wedding after our parents’ wedding.” he answered me.

“Ethan, can I ask you?” I said.

“What is it?”

“I know you haven’t liked me since the beginning. But why did you suddenly treat me differently? I don’t understand you, sometimes you are kind and sometimes you are rude. ” I ask.

“Because you’re my soon to be step sister, that’s simple Agatha.”

I just nodded, I didn’t want him to think about anything else. “Aren’t you coming back inside yet? Shouldn’t you be there? I see Kuya Luke more often in interviews and about your business after this dinner you left. ” I ask him again,

“First because I don’t want to be with Luke, second because I don’t have anything to do there because I’m not the one to get married.”

We stayed there for a few more minutes before finally returning to the garden. We can’t stay long because they might look for us inside and wonder why we left and never came back.

As we walked back to the garden Mama and I met.

“Where did you two go and we’ve been looking for you.” she asked us.

Mama seemed to believe what I said so we went back to the table where Uncle was.

“Oh, they’re already here. Where did you go?” uncle asked us.

I wish I could have spoken before Ethan and I. “I was just with Agatha for a while.”

After Ethan said that we sat down.

“How about you Ethan, don’t you have any plans to get married?” Reign’s mother suddenly asked.

“I don’t have that in mind for now and I haven’t finished my second course yet,” he replied.

“Aren’t you done studying? But why do you study again and not just be like your older brother who worked for your company.” Reign’s Dad asked.

“Because he’s still  young, uncle, so you know he’s not very serious in life and he still doesn’t know his plans for the future.” Luke groaned.

“Don’t worry because Ethan will also come to that thing. I’ll let him do what he wants with his life first.” Uncle said.

“That’s right, there’s no need to rush things as long as you’re happy with life.” Mama seconded.

Reign’s parents nodded. I don’t know why they’re even teasing Ethan, as far as I know, Reign doesn’t have a sister. Aren’t they still content that their daughter will marry one of the Hernandezes? Psh!

“I’m already excited about the wedding that will take place because I’m sure it will be the headline of the news. Have you fixed everything you need for your wedding next month?” Reign’s mother asked Uncle.

“There’s nothing to worry about because everything is fine. We’re just waiting for the wedding day.” Uncle laughed.

“We are happy compadre for you because you will finally have your lovelife again after a long time and I know your first wife is happy seeing you happy and continuing your life.” Reign’s father was referring to Ethan and Luke’s mom.

“Yes, compadre, I didn’t expect a friend of mine to be my second wife.” Uncle said happily.

They even talked about Mama and Uncle’s wedding as well as Kuya Luke and Reign’s wedding, because my Mom and Uncle will get married first before announcing to the public that Kuya Luke will be getting married also. While Ethan and I were just quiet and both listening to them. I also looked at Ethan a few times and it was obvious to him that he was bored, even when his bad habit was really bad not even being able to support the brother.

It was almost dawn when the conversation ended and they said goodbye to Reign who was leaving. I quickly went to my room because I had been tired and drowsy even though I knew I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep right away.

I also saw Ethan go straight into his room, maybe he was already drowsy because I had noticed earlier that it was very close when we were still in the garden.

I just put on my nightgown and then went straight to bed, until now I still can’t believe that Kuya Luke’s fiance was the reason why my boyfriend cheated on me.

What if brother Luke found out about it, could their marriage continue? But I don’t think he will believe what I will say to  him against his fiance. I can see that even though he is a womanizer he loves Reign so much.
