Gian POV

I was going to Ethan’s house today, it should have been earlier this morning but I had a sudden meeting and it just ended. As soon as I parked my car when I got to them, as I entered the house I caught him sitting in the living room while drinking so I approached him who didn’t seem to notice my arrival.

“Hey fucker.” I said and sat beside him.

“She’s here.”

“Who?” I asked, because I didn’t know who he was referring to.

“Agatha.”

“Oh where is she now? Is she still here?” I ask.

He first drank the wine in the glass and looked at me. “She left. She disappointed me again. ”

I feel sorry for my friend, I know how he loves Agatha. “If you want I’ll talk to her.” I suggested but he just shook his head.

“No need, just let her.”

“What? Are you serious about it? Will you just let her go? Will you just let her always leave you? But wait, why is she leaving? ” I said annoyed.

“She has already made her decision and it looks like she can’t be stopped anymore. She had to leave because of her job, you know she is an architect, ” he said.

“I really don’t understand Agatha, I thought she loved you but why would she always choose to leave you? And where is she going? Maybe you can talk to his boss. ” I suggested.

He shrugged his shoulders and never spoke again.

“I need to drink to ease the pain I am feeling right now Gian.”

“All right, if that’s what you want then I won’t stop you.” I promise.

“Why is she selfish? She always thinks only of herself, what about me? Did she ever think of me too? I thought she loved me but why can’t I feel that? ” full of resentment,” he said.

“I’ll try to talk to her and maybe she’ll change her mind.” I said.

“In our conversation earlier, I already knew she was sure of her departure and nothing could stop her. I should be angry with her right now but I can’t because I love her. ” I saw tears dripping from his eyes.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

I know he loves Agatha so much because he wouldn’t be like this if he didn’t. In fact, Agatha was lucky because she was the one chosen to be loved by Ethan Hernandez but she just wasted it.

“Listen to me Ethan, you need to accept the fact that she is living. Maybe she has a reason why she chose her job more than you. This is not the end of your life, there are many women out there who will love you. Pull yourself, you are better than this. ” I said.

“But I love her Gian!”

“I know how much you love her because I witnessed it but she didn’t choose you! She put her dream before you! ” I strongly promise.

“I am the one to blame for why I am hurting now. I hope too much that she loves me and she will not leave me again.”

“Don’t think that way, you just love her so much that’s why you are hurting now. It is not a mistake to love.” I said.

“But why? Why did she still choose to leave me? What did I do wrong? Am I not enough? I did everything to her to feel how much I love her but why is she hurting me like this? DO I deserve this kind of pain?”

“Stop it Ethan, there is nothing wrong with you because I know you have given everything to her. Too bad for her because she didn’t value it. So stop questioning your worth. You are Ethan Hernandez, remember that! ” I said.

He did not speak and stood up. I helped him to his room. “Take a rest.” I commanded him.

When he lay down, I left the room. I couldn’t understand Agatha why she kept hurting my friend.

I don’t want to be angry with her because I know she has a reason but Ethan is my friend and I don’t want to see him hurt. He already suffered too much.

I went straight to the guest room. I can’t leave Ethan like this so I need to sleep here to make sure that he is okay and safe. When I was already in the room I picked up my phone and called my cousin Zey.

“You moron! Do you know what time it is?” she growled at me.

I laughed. “As if you are already sleeping. Are you with Agatha? ” I ask.

“No, I’m at home. Why are you looking for her? ”

“I just wanted to talk to her about her plan on leaving again.” I said directly.

“What do you mean?”

“Ethan already knew he was leaving. She came here earlier and they talked. ” I said.

“It’s better that she  already told Ethan about it than leaving without Ethan knowing.” My cousin said.

“You know that she’s leaving?” I asked my cousin.

“Didn’t I tell you that she applied for a job? She is the architect and interior designer of the company she works for and she needs to come along to make sure the outcome will be smooth. Gian understands her because she needs it for herself and her dreams. When those projects are successful, it’s a big break for my friend. ”

“If she has plans on leaving Ethan again, she’ll have told Ethan sooner! After she said that he loves my friend and then all of a sudden she’ll leave. Can’t she just stay here or look for another job? There are many companies here or she can apply to Hernandez. ” I said.

“Cousin, I know that you are worried and concerned about Ethan, but Agatha doesn’t want to rely on him and work for his company. She wants something to achieve in life because that is her and her mother’s dream. She wanted something to prove and be proud of because when that didn’t happen she wouldn’t lose her mind that she wasn’t the woman Ethan deserved. You know Ethan’s came from a well-known family and how he is successful now and Agatha doesn’t want to embarrass him and Ethan’s surname to other people. ”

“What about my friend? Did she ever think about how Ethan would feel when she left? I hope she didn’t just say she loved him if she was planning to leave and hurt my friend.” I was annoyed.

“We both know how they love each other, but we can’t stop her dream. You can’t understand that because we’re not in Agatha’s position, her insecurities are eating her and she wants to prove herself that she can be successful in her own way.”

I haven’t argued with Zey anymore because I can’t do anything, Agatha is her friend so she’s on her side.
