It looks like I can’t really change Luke’s mind anymore and I don’t know what I’m going to do because I can see Dad is having a hard time, he has heart disease so I’m sure if he’s not taken to the hospital he’ll be damned.

“L-luke son I don’t know why you’re like that, I didn’t fail to be your father and I gave everything you wanted so I don’t know why you are doing this to me.” Dad said.

“You’re asking why I’m like this? It’s because of you Dad! You’re the one I blame for Mom’s death because if you hadn’t just been busy with business you would have found out she’s sick! You have a lot of money but you haven’t been able to save the life of your wife! ” Luke angrily said while crying, “ I didn’t know that he was hiding his anger towards Dad because of Mom’s death.

“I don’t know that I’m the one you blame for the loss of your Mom but you also know that I did everything to keep her alive but your mom told me not to treat her anymore but I didn’t listen. I fought for her life! ” Dad’s tears started to drip.

“Hon are you okay?” Tita asked Dad.

Seeing Luke was stunned so I used that time to get close to Dad and quickly picked him up and ran to the car.

I drove fast because I was afraid of what could happen to my father, he was the only one I had and he couldn’t get lost.

“No need son, I feel like I won’t be able to reach there anymore. I can be with your mom now. Please take good care of your Aunt and Agatha,  make them safe. And d-don’t plant hatred on your brother because even if he causes this trouble, he is still your brother. He was just overwhelmed by his anger at the loss of your mom. ” He made a weak promise to me.

I drove even faster to notice that Dad was slowly closing his eyes. Even though we don’t talk often my dad knows how much he loves me, maybe I think Luke is the only one who’s always nice in his eyes but I know if that’s not true, I know he treats me equally to our children he.

When we got to the hospital they quickly took care of Daddy while I waited for the doctor to come out and prayed that he would be safe and nothing bad would happen to him.

Soon the doctor came out and looked at me, traces on his face with bad news. I immediately approached him. “Doc. How’s my Dad?” I ask.

“We did our best Mr. Hernandez but his body gave up, also based on the test we did it was found out that your Dad is taking a medicine  that was not good for his health.” he explained.

I almost fainted because from what I heard, my system couldn’t accept Dad’s loss. “What do you mean doc? That he was poisoned? As far as I know he didn’t even take any medicine I thought he just had a heart attack.”

He nodded. “We can’t yet say what medicine it is but I’m sure it hasn’t been good for his health. I’m sorry Mr. Henandez and condolences.”

I sat down crying, I couldn’t accept that even Dad had left us and he had gone with Mom. I know it was Luke who poisoned him because no one else would do that thing in the house if not him.

Later, Tita and Agatha also arrived, when I said that Dad was gone, Tita almost fainted. I know it hurts her too but we can’t do anything because his body gave up voluntarily.

I decided to have a 5 days burial because I don’t want it to last any longer because we will be hurt even more. I just pretended that Dad had a heart attack because he didn’t want to tell the truth for the sake of his last will not to blame Luke on what happened.

FASTFORWARD …

A week has passed since everything happened, it seems like we have a complete and well -organized family but now Dad is also gone, while Luke is also not to be found. Agatha told me that Luke left after what happened.

The next day our family lawyer talked to me about Dad’s assets and business. Since Luke could not be found either so I had to replace what they left behind. I wanted to refuse but I couldn’t because I didn’t want to end up with nothing that my parents had worked so hard for and I also finished Business Ad and already knew about the company’s management so I accepted it.

After we talked, the attorney left because he was busy and needed to attend to some important matter with his other clients. I just took him outside and thanked him for his help.

I was back inside the house when I heard Agatha scream so I quickly ran to Dad’s room to see what had happened.

When I opened the door I saw Agatha crying while shaking her Mom.

“What happened?” I asked him when I could get closer.

“I don’t know Ethan, when I entered here I just saw Mama so I thought she was just sleeping so I’ll just let her go first but I saw these bottles.” she cried.

We wasted no time and immediately took Tita to the hospital. She just cried and cried while holding her Mama’s hand.

When we got to the hospital, like Dad, the doctors also failed to save her because she had overdosed on medicine. It is said that it had been several hours since she had taken the medications before Agatha arrived.

It almost went away when she found out that even her mother was gone, I knew the pain she felt because that’s also how I felt when Dad died.

Just like I did with Dad, we also imprisoned Tita for five days. I took care of everything because Agatha couldn’t talk properly and she was just crying. Fortunately, her friend Zey came to support and comfort her. I didn’t take any longer and buried her immediately so that Agatha would not be hurt even more.
