Together Forever

Chapter 35

Chapter 35

Ethan's POV

I wouldn't say I am not disappointed. I want to know what she actually feels for me and for heaven's

sake, I want her to kiss me herself. I need her to confess the swirling emotions I can always see in her

enticing eyes that she's trying to hide. I wanted a little more but the moment I look at her and see her

face so sad like a baby failing to draw unicorns, a smile replaces the disappointment.

She is so cute. The first time I saw her, she seemed cold to me just like myself. But now that I know her

well, I understand that coldness is just a barrier she puts around her but inwardly, she's an angel who

can even pout like she's doing now.

I swear I never saw someone looking so damn cute when they pout.

I chuckle and kiss her forehead.

"It's ok. I will wait." I smile and pull her face to place on my shoulder. Relief washes over me when she

hugs me back.

For the first time, she hugged me willingly. She didn't pull back when I touched her. She didn't try to

stop me. It feels great.

I told her how I feel for her. And I don't regret it because that's just the truth. What scared me was how

she would react. She didn't say anything but she didn't let me down either. I understand she needs

time. And I am okay with no matter how much time she takes, as long as she's not going away from

me, I am alright.

We sit there in each other's warm embrace as time passes but we are too oblivious to pay this time any

attention for now. Time is important and doesn't wait for anyone but this moment is valueless to me,

overcoming the worth of everything else. Who knows if I would ever have her this close again or not?

Her hands are wrapped around my neck while her head is slightly tilted, resting on my shoulder. Her

hair is flowing over my hand that is around her back keeping her close and the feverish scent of the

brown locks reaching my nose. A dead silence is enclosing the room but still, it feels so peaceful.

I never felt like this in anyone's embrace ever. The more we wait for something, our attraction towards it

gets stronger. And when finally the thing is gained, it gives the feeling of conquering the world and

that's what I'm feeling right now since she's my long yearned gem.

"So… we missed office today." She says, raising her head looking at me.

I budge my head, smirking, "Yeah. Your health is more important than work and don't worry, from now

on, we will miss office quite often." I wink at her.

She narrows her eyes as she asks, confused, "Why? What will we do if we don't go to the office?"

"Uhm…" I point at us as I say haughtily, "The thing we're doing now."

She gets my hint and looks down embarrassed and then I see something on her face that I didn't see

ever. A slightly rosy tinting glow appears on her cheeks under her big magical eyes and slowly spreads This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

across her white skin, making her look the most beautiful human being I have ever seen. She's

blushing. I made her blush for the first time.

God. That blush is divine.

If she looks beautiful all the time, now with that blush and those locks of brown hair falling across her

face, she's looking…speechless.

Looking down at her hands for some time, she looks up with a crease on her forehead.

"Ethan?" She calls me in a confused tone.

"Yeah?"

"I think I am burning now." She places her index finger on her left cheek as she says, "I'm feeling so hot

here."

I chuckle at her innocent gesture as I place my hand on her cheek and brush my thumb upon the blush,

"No. You're fine."

"Then?"

I smile at her bemused face and reply.

"You're blushing."

Evelyn's POV

We pass the morning just gossiping and watching some TV shows. And the most shocking news that I

got is that Ethan doesn't know what the 'Criminal minds' is! Like what the fuck? Who in the world

doesn't watch this show? I don't know why he even has a TV in his house.

Now he's making lunch in the kitchen and I am listening to Taylor Swift lying on the couch. I don't have

any idea why he doesn't have any maids here. Like being a girl, I can't spend one single day without

Leah and he being a busy guy, living in this mansion all alone. This is surprising.

I sit up removing the headphones and pause the music. Let's take a look at what he's doing.

I head towards the kitchen and see him cutting onions on the kitchen counter. He has a simple black

hoodie on with grey sweatpants but still, he's looking hot as fire.

"You can come in. I won't mind." His voice startles me as I look at him to see his eyes still stuck on the

onions.

I always get caught like a creep!

Walking in, I move towards him and hop on the countertop, sitting there comfortably.

He looks up at me, his face is sweating and a sweat drop is slowly falling downwards to his jaw with his

slightly wet hair swooping on his forehead.

He really looks so good!

Well, it's not my fault that he has a god-gifted perfect look and it's definitely not my fault if I act like a

creep sometimes and can't take my eyes off of him.

He clears his throat and asks, "So... what I want to ask is that what you were doing with Liam last

night? Why did you leave your office with him?"

Again Liam…

I almost forgot about him.

Just at the mention of him, my swinging legs come to a halt and I sit there rigidly with my eyes staring

at him in fear, getting bigger in size.

"Uhm… I… didn't I say it before? Well, we just went to a coffee shop nearby." I say, nervously.

He steps closer to me with his eyebrows raised, "And here I thought you were sick and was worrying

like hell while you were on a date with your crush."

His eyes seem like a pure stone as he said that to me.

He's angry again. I don't tell him bipolar for nothing.

"No! It wasn't a date. He just asked me to go with him and I was tired working the whole day so I

agreed. It's not a big deal." I shrug, trying to look unaffected.

"Of course, it's a big deal. You can't go out with Liam."

This time I raise my eyebrows, "And why's that?"

He seems a bit uneasy as he looks away from me.

"Because… because I don't like him at all."

I smirk and retort, "So that means I can go on dates with other guys?"

"Of course, no. I didn't mean that." He blurts out almost too quickly.

I chuckle shaking my head as I speak, "Well, now calm down. I'm not going on dates with anyone. And

talking about Liam… I don't like him either."

He turns to me quickly, mockingly raises his brows, not believing me.

"And you told me he was your crush." He says cynically.

"Yes, he was, in the past. Years and years ago when I was a little girl who used to think school's

football players were hot guys so all the girls should have a crush on them!"

At my words, his hard face slightly subsides and a tiny smile makes its way on his lips that I kissed last

night.

What? Shut the fuck up!

"Oh really?"

I throw my hand in the air as I say, "Yeah, really. Moreover, then there wasn't this you who always

drags me away from all the guys out there."

He looks at me with challenging eyes and dropping the knife, traps me placing his hands on either side

of me.

"Do you have a problem with that? Even if you have, I don't care and I will keep dragging you away

from all the guys in the world." He says, giving me an innocent smile.

"Yeah sure." I roll my eyes and push his chest.

He chuckles and takes the knife again. He keeps chopping the onions while his eyes find their way to

my face over and over again.

"But it's not right that football players mean hot. When I was in school, I didn't play football but look I'm

still hot." He remarks, cockily.

"Yeah, I can see that." I giggle as I push my hair behind. His eyes follow my every move as he keeps

staring at me with a smile.

And the next moment I hear a hiss and he drops the knife, stomping back.

"Fuck!" He curses and I see blood on his finger.

I jump off and hurriedly open the cabinet behind me. I take out the first aid kit and hold his hand in

mine.

"Why the hell were you staring at me? It's bleeding a lot." I shout and lead him towards the dishwasher

to wash his hand.

"You were distracting me. Not my fault." He pouts.

After washing his hand, I put the antiseptic on his cut and he flinches.

I blow on his finger and look at him apologetically, "I am sorry."

He smiles and touches my face, coming closer and then he says something once again melting my

heart.

"It was all worth it. I can have a million cuts if that's needed to see your celestial beauty."
