The Three Little Guardian Angels

Chapter 2762

Chapter 2762

Waylon smiled and said, “It does, but it’s still early.”

Daisie lay on Nollace’s legs and looked up at the sky. After a moment, she said, “Do I feel rain?”

Everyone looked at her.

Colton took a deep breath. “Don’t jinx it.”

Freyja looked at the sky ahead. Even though it was clear where they were, dark clouds were forming around the mountains. “It could just be a cloudy day.”

It was almost noon, but the sun wasn’t out yet. It might just be a cloudy day with no rain.

Cameron said, “The weather report didn’t mention rain today. I don’t think it will.”

Unless the weather report wasn’t accurate!

After a while, Nollace felt something drip on his face. He touched it. “It’s really raining.”

Cameron sat up. “What?” NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

Daisie awkwardly forced a smile. “I just thought that it would rain, but this really is…”

“Jmxing!”

Everyone started packing up the food and the grill and even put the mats into the trunk of the cars. Only the tables, chairs, and tents were left.

Soon after that, the rain started falling. Even though it wasn’t heavy, the ground was still wet.

The lake was covered in ripples.

Daisie opened the car door and sat there with her umbrella open. Cameron, who was sitting in the car next to them, leaned against the window. “Daisie, you brought an umbrella?”

She smiled. “I was worried that it would rain.”

Cameron sighed. “I don’t think this is going to stop soon. I’m hungry because we didn’t have breakfast.”

“I have some cookies.”

Daisie took a bag out of her bag and walked over to her.

Cameron took it. “Thanks, my darling Daisie.”

Daisie called out to Freyja. “Freyja, do you want some bread?”

Freyja saw that she had an umbrella and chuckled. “That was why you had so many things. You even brought an umbrella.”

Colton leaned back into his seat. “I think she brought everything that’s not attached to the wall.”

Daisie walked to their car with the bread and handed it to Freyja, who smiled. “Do you know what you look like now?”

“What?”

Colton said, “People give firewood when there’s snow, you give bread when there’s rain.”

Daisie held the umbrella and shrugged. “I’m the only one with the umbrella. I’m unstoppable even with the rain.”

They were lucky because the rain didn’t last for long. The grass was still wet, so other than the mats, all the food and the grill were moved out again.

The sun finally came out in the afternoon. The mats were laid out when the ground was no longer wet.

Nollace added battery-powered lights to the tents to use at night while Waylon set up a projector and screen. It was attached to their SUV, and there were six foldable chairs made of canvas.

A warm little movie site was soon set up.

Daisie crossed her arms. “Waylon is the one with all the tools.”

“So we won’t get too bored at night.” Waylon set the screen up properly.

Colton, Freyja, and Cameron were preparing the food for the barbecue. When the food was marinated, they started the fire.

Around evening, the sky started turning dark, and the lights on the tents were switched on. The mist around the top of the mountains made the lights look pretty.

They all sat on chairs and enjoyed the barbecue, beer, and juice. There were sandwiches and fruits too.

Everyone was having fun joking and laughing while watching the movie projected on the screen. They were enjoying the calm night that was away from all the problems in the world.
