The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2709

Surprise was written all over Nibel's face. As intelligent as he was, he still did not manage to avoid Theo's trap.

Sat in the chair in a daze, it was only after a moment did he slowly come back to his senses. He looked at Sylvester and then abruptly stood from where he was seated. Hands, trembling, he pointed at Theo and shouted, "You saw through it all from the beginning, didn't you?!"Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

The corners of Theo's mouth turned up into a smile. "It's more accurate to say that I've been on guard ever since the first day you stepped into Hatton," Theo said lightly.

Head lowered, Nibel looked despaired as he grabbed his hair. "I planned this for so long. I started investigating you and understanding you even before I came to Hatton. I didn't expect to lose in the end."

"I know you've been investigating me. I just didn't do anything about it because I wanted to know what you were planning. I finally understood your ambitions and intentions when you came to Hatton." Theo glanced at Marius. The two of them...

I frowned. Was there some secret between Theo and Marius?

In the next second, Marius stood up. "President Grant knew that if he were the one to look into you, you would've found out it was him early on. So, I've been the one investigating you and then passing the information onto him so that he could get a grasp of your every move." No wonder their relationship had gotten better.

I turned to look at Nibel. "Mr. Nibel, you're an excellent entrepreneur, but Theo is not an easy person to deal with. I think, if you can work with Grant Corporation sincerely, both companies can establish a foothold together in Whaldorf City."

Even if Nibel refused to acknowledge reality now, there was nothing he could do. He could only acquiesce and sign the partnership agreement.

"You also went to Salt City to deal with the issue with the stocks?"

"That's right. There's ought to be a person in charge to sort it out. Theo and Keith couldn't go. Since you just so happened to ask me to leave, could. But this is also thanks to Neil. How could you have let your guard down, otherwise?" I looked at Neil.

Theo not acknowledging Neil was real but Neil never blamed him for it.

I figured Theo would probably change his opinion of Neil after this incident.

When I thought of this, my gaze swept toward Theo and I noted that he was looking at Neil. Perhaps the image of Neil he had in him had changed.

This was a good start.

To the side, Sylvester was furious, his expression livid. "Mr. Nibel, I trusted you, but you still lost to Theo Grant. You've got to take full responsibility for the losses caused by this partnership."

"President Yard, you're wrong."

Marius took over the conversation.

"Ever since Yard Group partnered up with Pristine Group, it has reaped fewer benefits from Pristine

Company. Yard Group has also ned

gotten its hands on many of the projects that Pristine Group snatched from Grant Corporation, no? Mr. Nibel has not asked you to share the interest yet you're already trying to get revenge?"

This left Sylvester speechless. Yard Group had wanted to use this opportunity to drag Grant Corporation down but did not expect the plan to fail in the final push. No wonder he was so furious.

"You're too unkind, President Yard.

Or does this mean that Yard Group had never really intended to partner up with Prisitine Group at the start? Instead, they just wanted to use Pristine's power to defeat Grant Corporation to make a comeback and regain their leading position in Whaldorf City?"

Sylvester glared at m the moment I said that. "Cease your slander, Wanda. The Yards' blood still flows through your veins, how can you talk like this?"

I turned away and shook my head. "Apologies. I've never recognized myself as a member of the Yards." Then, I looked at Nibel again. "Mr. Nibel, as you can see, this is the truth of the Yards behind this partnership."
