THEON

What the fuck did he say?

Miro swallowed as I settled my gaze on him but I don't blame him. He swore a marriage oath on my behalf and that would affect his mentality.

"If you can't take it, then leave." I stated.

Miro instead shook his head and turned his back.

"Please!" Chelsea wheezed. Her voice, barely recognizable under all that snot and gargle. "Just kill me! I can't take it anymore!"

"Death is a mercy, Chelsea."

"Please, I'm sorry. This pain is too much!"

"Did you think of that when you blew that powder in my face?" I asked. "Do you know how painful it is to inhale grams of dust and feel every atom of your brain turn against you? Do you know how hurtful it is to sit inside your head and have no control over what you do?" Chelsea could only wheeze in return.

"I gave you many chances to back off." I replied. "I almost died because your potion weakened me and still, had the

you nerve to do it again. Thank goodness Mr. Cresswell was able to get the antidote to Healer Kwan in time. He used it on me before you came in."

Miro turned to me, his eyes wide with realization. "So you were pretending this whole time?"

"Of course I was. With Chelsea, I can't be stupid again." I said, stepping out of her bloody reach.

"Then that means you know something's up with Ryn." Miro said, and my hand instinctively went to the pendant under my shirt.

I discovered it when I had to change from the hospital gown to the new set of clothes brought for me from home. I had no idea it was put around my neck until I undressed and I stood, frozen, staring at myself in the mirror. How could Ryn part with something so precious?

She must have wanted to wish me luck or something and now, in return, something bad may have happened to her and I knew Chelsea had something to do with it. I saw her smiles and glee when Miro and Sadie were worried about Ryn.

"I know what happened to her!" Chelsea chimed in, her eyes darting desperately between us. "I will tell you everything if you cure me."

I rubbed my jaw to bite off my smirk.

Everything was going according to plan. Chelsea was a slippery, cunning bitch and if I had mentioned Ryn first, she would have had some sort of leverage. Now, she has suffered to the point where her arrogance is out the window.

I slid my hand into my pockets, staring blankly at her as she desperately looked between us both. Her hair was matted to her skull, half soaked in blood and vomit and her face was swollen beyond recognition.

When I didn't answer, I saw her eyes widen in panic.

"You need me!" She said forcefully. "Otherwise, you're never going to see her again!"

"What do we do?" Miro mindlinked me. "Do we trust her?"

I approached Chelsea and I smiled as she scurried back from me in fear. Lowering to my haunches, I looked her in the eye, feeling nothing but a dark void.

Just then, the door opened, and a new batch of five security men came in, with one of them holding a large, dark blanket, while another held an extra extra large plastic sack.

After they bowed, I rose to my feet, and nodded with my head to her. "Wrap her for me." I said, and turned to Miro. "Call the special cleaning crew."

Chelsea looked confused and tried to fight back as the men pounced on her and tried to get her into the blanket.

"I can help you!" She wheezed before they successfully bundled her in the blanket.

Just then, Miro received a call and he went away to receive it.

I hope to the gods that is Sadie calling to say she found Ryn and there's some misunderstanding somewhere.

"Theon, please! What are you doing?!" Chelsea gargled, getting my attention.

I sighed, cracking my neck to the left and right.

I would have asked my men to get rid of her entirely but after my ordeal with calling security when I almost escaped, and having them betray me, I couldn't bring myself to trust my own men around her. Even though they were new and immunized against her potion.

I felt Miro's worry burn down our twin bond first before I turned and found him storming towards me, his face etched in

anger.

"You need to release Chelsea!" He said authoritatively. "Ryn's gone!"

I arched a brow. "Gone. How?"

"Like her things are gone. She packed it all up and Sadie said she left some letters for her, Adam and us. Something about not being able to handle the stress of being an Elite and so she has to leave because she's ashamed." I frowned. "That's not the Ryn I know."

"Exactly! Someone made her say that!"

I really looked at my brother and saw how agitated he was about Ryn. Prior to this moment, he had hated her guts and couldn't be happier to be rid of her, now he's acting like she's his lover or something. Hmmm. Strange.

I turned to Chelsea who had been placed far away from the mess she made in my living room. Her eyes were hopeful as she looked from Miro to me. I faced my men. "Put her in the sack." "What?!" She claimed in surprise.

"Did you not hear me?!" Miro queried and I sent him a chilling glare but when I saw the devastation in his eyes, I had to calm down and approach him.

"Do you trust me?" I asked him, eye to eye.

"With my life."

"Good. Follow me."

With that said, I approached the sack and in one move, I grabbed the edge round and used that to carry the sackover my shoulder. Chelsea squirmed and struggled but I paid no attention to her as I walked out of the apartment and into the elevator With Miro.

Getting in, I dropped her on the floor with a thump.

"Oow!' She groaned. "I can't breathe!"

Miro glanced from the sack to me before pressing the button for the ground floor.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

As we descended, I brought out my phone and contacted Adam to get the Elite warriors to begin a country-wide search for Ryn. Then I slid my hands in my pockets and hummed to the opera song that played from the elevator speaker while Chelsea went through another round of torture in the sack.

for Once the elevator doors opened, I carried her over my shoulder again, turning my humming into a whistle as I he the wooded area near our building. Mire followed patiently beside me and soon after, we arrived at an open grave in the woods. I dropped Chelsea again.

The moment I arrived from the hospital, I had previously instructed my men to begin the digging and I was glad to see they were done.

Miro watched the scenario with surprise before looking at me. I expected him to say something but he kept mute.

Good.

In one move, I grabbed the sack and poured out Chelsea who was still going through her throes of torture.

Immediately, she parted the blanket she was wrapped in and gasped for air.

Then she climbed out and tried to crawl away and the moment she saw the huge open grave before her she paused and turned to me. "Go on." I smirked. "Run!"

She began to cry and shake her head. "Theon, please!"

I was tired of hearing that word. Instead I grabbed a shovel and approached her and she crawled away to the edge of the grave.

"The poison I gave you has no

antidote." I stated nonchalantly. "intentionally did it that way so that even I won't be able to change my mind. So here's the deal. Tell us what fucking happened to Ryn and I'll make your death quick. Decide not to, and I'll have my men bring a big coffin I bought specially for you That's where you'll stay, buried, as you continue this cycle for at least two more days before you die. What say you, my love"

Even the birds were quiet as if they wanted to hear her answer.

"I never knew you could be so cruel." She cried.

I checked my wristwatch. "You have ten seconds to decide."

Chelsea shook her head in pity for herself. "I should have let you go when I had the chance. Your father was the one who

forced me."

"Five seconds."

Chelsea swallowed. "I want to die!" She screamed. "I'll tell you everything I know!"
