Chapter 45
Chapter 45
Jenna's expression dulled as she saw Dominic holding Judy's hand. "Mr. Phelps, what are you guys doing?
Judy realized and quickly withdrew her hand. Her brows puckered slightly in panic.
Dominic glanced at Jenna and said coldly, "We're about to have lunch. What do you want?”
"The two of you?" Jenna's eyes burned with anger. She continued, “Isn't it a little inappropriate for the two of you to have lunch together?"
Judy was about to deny it, but Dominic said, "There are so many people eating together in the hospital canteen. What's inappropriate about us eating together? Looks like your family has weird rules, Ms. Blake.”
"No, that's not what I meant. I mean... never mind,” Jenna gave up on explaining. “Mr. Phelps, I'm here to ask you something. For this case—" "I'm on lunch break right now." Dominic interrupted. He sounded polite yet distant. "We can talk after I have my meal. Let's go, Judy."
Judy had rarely seen Jenna this deflated. And she certainly had never seen the usually kind Dominic treat Jenna this coldly.
Judy was stunned by Dominic's attitude. And before she came to her senses, Dominic had dragged her away for a distance.
"Wait." Judy tugged Dominic's sleeve and signed.
"What's wrong?” Dominic stopped and asked.
"Dr. Phelps, you go ahead and have lunch yourself. I'm not hungry." Although it was satisfying to see Jenna deflated, she still declined the offer to have lunch with Dominic.
Dominic's forehead creased in confusion. He asked patiently, "Are you avoiding me? Is there any trouble I can help you?"
Judy shook her head and smiled. "I have to be with Grandma." Judy turned around and returned to the ward.
As she turned away from Dominic, her smile immediately vanished. With her current situation, she shouldn't anger Sally any further. Dominic felt depressed as he looked at Judy leaving. He had never had this feeling before in his life
Lilly was shocked when she saw Judy entering the ward. She asked, “Why did you come back? Aren't you having lunch with Dom?" "How did you know?" Judy signed.
"Of course, I know. I asked him to have lunch with you.” Lilly said proudly. "Dom is a nice guy. And he’s handsome, too.
"He's perfect in every way. Oh, not to mention, I can tell he's interested in you. Juju, this is a once-in-a-lifetine opportunity! You must hold onto it.”
Judy rushed to cover Lilly's mouth. "Stop it, Grandma. You shouldnt.uin Dr. Phelps’ Ss reputation like this” Nothing i is going on betweenus, Grandma. Don't overthink. i”Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Judy shook her head in resignation. It's not about if she was better. It was because she was already married to Clark.
Lilly held Judy’s hand and lamented, "My girl Juju had grown up. You look exactly like your mom. You're both beautiful women.”

"Grandma, can I know how Mom passed away?" Judy signed.
Lilly turned pale and went silent.
When Judy thought Lilly wouldn't say a word like usual, Lilly suddenly whispered, "It's because of a medicine formula.” Medicine formula? Why was it always about the medicine formula? Judy stared blankly at Lilly.
"Do you remember about your childhood, Juju?" Lilly asked.
